Illustrator 6 won't save! Unkown error has occured!

Illustrator won't let me save! It says "Unknown error has occured." I'm beyond frustrated at this point! Help! I only have line work and text I placed from AutoCAD as a DWG file on the artboard and I was going to color the rooms in Illustrator.

Ibooks won't install "unknown error has occured"

Trying to install iBooks on a new iPad. It starts to install then immediately says "Unknown Error Has Occured" and quits. I've erased all and reset, reset, and re-booted. IOS Version is 4.3.3 (8J2). Any ideas?

Itunes won't open in mac. Unkown error has occured (-200). I don't know what to do.

The support has been no help. I have had this macbook for a year and this is the first problem it has given me.

Have you tried to Restart the computer and try to open iTunes again.

Apps won't update "An error has occurred"

I have 4 apps that won't update from the Mac App Store (iMovie, iPhoto, Xcode and Pocket). When I click Update it fails and I get an error that says "App failed to download, Use the Purchases page to try again." I've tried to update for about a month after restarting and also tried on a different wifi network (heard somewhere that might work), but have been unsuccessful.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.

from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

Mavericks won't download "An error has occured"

Trying to download through App store to late 2010 Macbook Pro, 10.7.5, 2.4 GHz processor, 8 GB mem and 16 GB of free space. I can't seem to get more info on the error message.

"unknown error has occurred" on 3 PC's all in one day!

We're using AI CS3 on three PC's - one XP and 2 x Win7.
In the space of one day all three machines suddenly came up with "An unkown error has occured" fault when saving. Something has changed and I'm sure it's not AI. I know that the OS's have just recently updated so perhaps something has happened there ?
I have trashed pref's and run as admion etc but no difference
Any ideas ?

We haven't changed the way we work and I had been saving files both to a local drive and a network drive with the same issue.
However, I have actually narrowed the problem down to an update of Printers Choice, our print quoting and management software that has just been upgraded. Illustrator works fine until this application is opened then, BAM, Illustrator won't save.
I've advised the developers and of course their first response is that we're using an old version of Illustrator (CS3). This is true but it does everything we need it to so am hoping this isn't going to become a standoff !
Anyone have a suggestion as to what the conflict is likely to be ?

Thanks for your response. I have reinstalled and used the adobe clean software to remove all adobe software first. still not working. Can you explain in more detail "fix the permissions on your User: Library folders"? I have verified disc perms in Disc Utility.

I have Maverick 10.9.1 installed I scanned a photo on my HA D 110 series but it won't let me print or save it: An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only.

Anyone have a solution to illustrator telling me an unexpected error has occurred when saving? Ive tried saving, save as, saving as .pdf. Keeps telling me the same message. Just installed it. First project since it was installed.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?

Illustrator files cannot be opened: Could not read the file because an error has occurred.

I cannot open some files from Illustrator which contain PNG files placed. When I try to open the file, I get a message saying: "this png contains addtional data for Adobe fireworks, which will be discarded upon save." When I press "ok" I get the same screen again. When I press "cancel" I get: "coulld not read the file because an error has occured". I am currently working on a Mac Mavericks. Using Illustrator cc and Fireworks CS6.

If you have some file corruption, one thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the (PDF contents, if any of the) corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way.

Illustrator CS6 - An unknown error has occured

When saving a file in illustrator CS6 the error comes up as "An unknown error has occured".
I can not save my files at all, export them as any other filetype or print them to PDF.
I have figured out it is any element with transparancy causing the issue... if I delete or flatten the items, I can save..
Any Ideas hoe to rectify this as it is stuffing everything up for me...
