Illustrator .ai file grayed out and I can't import

I am trying to import or import as project an illustrator file and the file is grayed out. I can import pdf's, but does anyone know why I wouldn't be able to import an .ai file? TY.

I'm actually working with CS4 and, yes, this (as PDF compatible) does work. Of course, it's a flattened (single layer) file.
I keep PDF compatible on by default, so I'm at a loss as to why it wasn't working for me last week, but thanks for the correction.

we were using IE7 and having trouble with it so now we are using Firefox, but I can't inport IE favorites casue the import function is greyed out and non functional

* You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing", possibly grayed

If your phone service is disconnected, it's not your number any more.
If you "just got AT&T", how can it be disconnected?

Several months ago I kept getting prompted to "update" my iphoto library. I finally gave in and clicked on the update button and EVER SINCE THEN, ALL of my photos have been 'grayed out' and I can't see ANY of them unless I click on the photo and open it

Several months ago, I kept getting prompted to 'update' my iphoto library. When I finally clicked on the 'update' button, it 'greyed out' ALL of my photos. Now ALL of my photos are grayed out and I can't see ANY of my pictures unless I click on each grayed out photo individually and open them, ALL of the thumbnails are greyed out. It is THE WORST!! I have no idea how to fix this problem and its been MONTHS AND MONTHS of *** pain. Anyone?? Please help!!!

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

Yes, it's checked as it's how I left it when I was able to edit the page before...now the whole tab is just grayed out and I can't check or uncheck anything. Nothing happens. In order for this content to not appear grayed out, you need to enable the Manually manage music option from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes. Keep in minding that manually managing your iPod's contents is different from having content automatically sync to your device from iTunes. See here for more information.

You need to use the old ID and password to delete the iCloud account. After you delete the old account, you can sign in with the new ID in iCloud.

My first thought was that maybe when you imported you chose to leave the files in place rather than copy then to the iMovie library..but I can't see where that option is now.
I too have created a short movie from load f clips..but can't export or share either..the 'Share 'menu is empty..you go to it and no sub menu appears.

A while back, I tried to delete all the music off of my iPhone 5 to make room. I think I tried to delete it from iTunes on my PC. However, it didn't delete. The 90 songs remain on my iPhone, but are grayed out. I have tried almost everything to delete the music - it doesn't take up any room, but it's annoying, and I can't add any music to my phone now. Has this happened to anyone else before? And how can I remove the music?

Try signing out of your apple ID and signing back in. I saw another post where that worked for at least one person.
(Settings>Store>tap ID, sign out, sign back in)

Unable to see raw files in Finder and therefor can't import in aperture

I have loaded my raw files from the CF card (Canon 4DII) into a directory on the Mac. I go into Aperture, select import and select the directory where the files are and none of the raw files appear.
I go into iPhoto and they appear and I am able to import them into iPhoto.
I need to import the files into Aperture. How can I get Aperture to "see" the files in the finder directory?

It doesn't look like your camera is supported, which is why your raw files don't show up to import.

Mine isn't either.
I use DNG Converter from Adobe (Free) to convert my RAW files to DNG. The .DNG files ( not '.dng') are then readable by Aperture.

What I do:
Open DNG converter
Select the folder with the raw files
Save in new location:
Select folder: and create a DNG folder inside the original folder with the RAW images)
File Extension .DNG
Convert.
When i import into Aperture, I choose the option to 'Store files in their original location' (which is an external drive foe me) ... this way i'm not getting duplicates and taking up more space.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
