Illustrator CC installation

When attempting to update my Illustrator to version CC from Creative Cloud, I get the message "Installation completed though some optional components failed to install correctly (6). When I click More Information, nothing happens. Contact Customer Support brings me here. Illustrator does actually launch and it appears it is working, but I have no idea what didn't install along with it. I hit Retry once, it went through the whole process again, with the same result. Anyone else ever run into this?
By the way, using Windows 7.

    Dear Adobe support,
    Let me start by saying that you currently have a VERY dissatisfied customer on your hands at the moment. After trying to get support from your live chat I realized you introduced this very "flattering" feature that only allows you to access the chat if you have a US address. That's plain discrimination. I pay just as much money as a US customer does. I then tried to go to your phone support which left me on hold for 15 minutes.     Issue is with installation of Illustrator CC. The update wouldn't install. I got the famous
    Error U44M1P7 error.
    Uninstalled and reinstalled illustrator CC twice, then tried to update it with no effect every time. The last time, i troubleshooted the error log and found that the isntaller apparently couldn't access some temporary files in an adobe installation folder. Went to Windows Explorer and made sure there were no read-only files in that folder. Tried again (twice), this time it has gone from bad to worse, because the product won't even install properly anymore. This is what I get as errors after installation.
    Exit Code: 6 Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting.     Sorry for answering sporadically, i am racing against a deadline at work but it is however important to me that this issue is sorted out. Notbeing able to update is really not ok.
    I am looking at the latest installation log file and seeing erros in regrad to "installer package might be corrupt... " and a few others.
    I've made a dropbox with the 2 installation files - first the errors I got after installation of Illustrator CC (in safe mode) and then the log file that I got after attempting to install the update halft an hour later (and failing). I think this is easiest.

    I am trying to install CS 5 upgrade. I could install Indesign and Photoshop without any problem, but I could not install Illustrator. The error massage that I am getting is as follows:

    You are simply running out of disk space. Free up drive space.

    i just purchase adobe illustrator cs5 via subscription download. I have a mac... system is asking for the cd to install. I have none. Supposed to be a web download installation. help!!

    Is it prompting for the DVD during the install process?  Have you tried downloading the software again?  You can also install the Illustrator trial and initiate your subscription during the install process as well.

  • Adobe Illustrator 10 Installation Problem

    Ok so I now own a new Macbook and just tried to install the Adobe Illustrator 10 but it just crashes and fails when I try to install it. I know the disks are fine because I have installed it on my Quicksilver G4 with the Tiger as well, have never had a problem installing till getting this new Macbook.
    I get to the part of installing the serial key then it just crashes. As well my G4 does not have the Classic environment either and still installs perfectly.
    Any ideas as to why it will not work?

    You don't understand my point. If there were no Intel based chip, installation would be fine was what I am getting at. Your both actually correct though, I'm blaming the wrong company, my apologies to Microsoft, the 2 members who posted regarding Microsoft is not at fault are 100% correct. But we will definitely not see a patch from Adobe and since PS7 was a completely new cocoa app but Illustrator was merely ported over, hence the reason PS7 installs perfectly.
    But at least the migration wizard does a good job an actually installs Illustrator 10 and it works perfectly.

  • Illustrator CC installation error

    I've been trying to install the trial version of Illustrator CC for a few days now.  It will reach 43% loaded then say installtion failed - erros encountered during installation.(34).  It shows a link to click on more information but that doesn't do anything.
    I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, service pack 1.  Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G620.  4.00GB RAM, with a 64-bit operating system.

    I had to reinstall Illustrator cs3 recently.  It goes through the installation process and ask me to put in Adobe Indesign CS4 cd
    into my mac to continue the instalition process.  I only downloaded the trail Version of Indesign so i dont have the the cd (i have all of my cs3 disc)to finsh installing
    Illustrator.  Does anyone know i how get my Illustrator to finshin Installing without a Indesign 4 disk?

  • Illustrator 10 installation woes

    Hi,
    I just installed Illustrator 10 on my windows 7 x64 PC. The installation went smoothly & s/n accepted without error messages. Unfortunately, when I go to run the program, I see the initial splash screen for a split second, and then nothing. The program isn't running.
    I was assured by the seller of this disc that it isn't installed anywhere else, and has been removed from her PC. Does this sound like a licensing issue or a technical problem?

  • Problem installing Photoshop and Illustrator during installation CS4

    During the installation of CS4 on my Vista computer, i get an error saying: cannot install Photoshop and Illustrator. I've already tried to use the CleanCS4 program and other cleanup programms to clean up my registry but nothing has helped. Computer is 4 months old and there is plenty of memory.

    It appears you are facing a file permission issue possibly with a previously installed color profile?

    I have been trying to install the updates for Illustrator, but I keep on getting the same error.
    "Adobe Illustrator CC Update (version 17.1.0) x64
    There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1P34"
    I have unistalled and re-installed Illustrator twice, in hope that this will solve the problem, but with no much luck.
    What else can I do? Please, any help would be welcome.

  • Illustrator CS3 installation troubles...

    Apologies in advance if my explanation seems waffly, this is not a very short story...
    I'm working on a Dual 2.3GHz PowerPC G5 Mac Pro with 2.5GB DDR2 SDRAM and have been using CS3 Design Standard - specifically Photoshop and Illustrator - quite happily for a few years, but then I needed to get After Effects and an up to date version of Flash (I was on a Macromedia Flash 8). I downloaded the trail of Flash CS4 which worked perfectly and the trail ran out as it does so I uninstalled it and then persuaded my bosses to buy me CS4 Production Premium. I received the box, got very giddy and then tried to install the software. Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash... no problem, then I realised with crushing disappointment that because I have a PowerPC based mac all my nice new shiny and very useful software was useless. (I'll not go into the fact that I phoned an Adobe representative and asked whether my mac was compatible before I bought it and was told, yes, as long as it's a G5 you'll be fine!) I uninstalled, deactivated and sent my form back to Amsterdam telling Adobe I had done all that was requested and then bought CS3 Production Premium from a reseller as Adobe no longer provide CS3 software.
    Again, everything fine (ignoring the fact you still need an Intel mac to use Premier, Encore and Soundbooth) and installed, have been using happily for months now. Until today when I came back off holiday and a couple of my Illustrator plug ins are missing. Toolbars are all over the place or missing and apparently not available for me to bring back. I tried to reinstall Illustrator to start from scratch and when installing, was asked to put in the Flash CS4 Professional disk for it to continue...
    As I said earlier I no longer have this software as I removed it before purchasing CS3 Production Premium. I've tried the CS4 clean up script which did take the remaining parts of the CS4 software that hadn't been removed off my system but alas, I got the same request when trying to reinstall again. I've tried reinstallation from both my original Design Standard disk and the newer Production Premium disk and both ask the same thing.
    I've started to download the trial for Flash CS4 again, and although it won't work because I've had my trial, I'm hoping it just being on my system will put this problem to rest. But until then I could really do with a suggestion or a thing to try, because not having Illustrator while at work is not helpful and I really need it ASAP.
