Illustrator CC pastes unformatted code when trying to copy objects

When I attempt to copy and paste objects or text, illustrator pastes unformatted code (see picture).
When I copy the object and paste it a second time, it works fine, it's only when pasting for the first time.
It's not the end of the world but it's really quite annoying, any help would be appreciated, cheers.

just fixed my own problem: preferences > file handling & clipboard > include SVG code

Hi,
It might help if you could tell us your version of PSE and your operating system.
In between requesting the verification code and trying to apply it, you didn't change any of the settings in Edit -> Preferences -> Sharing did you?
Did you use Copy & Paste to copy the verification code from the email to PSE?
On the page that is asking for the code, you can always click on the resend button and it will send you the code again - worth a try.

Is this coming from a link, or from something you are trying to type in the address bar?
Try replacing the "html" at the start with "http",
so if you have html://somesite.edu,
change it to http://somesite.edu.

What OS X version?
How are you upgraded or downloading the software? (Directly downloaded, or via Software Update?)
Have you tried quitting all applications, and then performing the Software Update? (Discussion per this thread — but that thread is for iTunes, and I'm guessing you're looking at Safari here?) If that doesn't work, I'd keep everything quit, reboot, and try again.

OS X errors are cryptic. error code -50 says error in user parameter list.
You need to give us WAY more info if you want help.
What is WD for Mac? If it's an external drive - did you install any software for it? (shouldn't need to)
How much free space on the Mac HD? Size of the file(s)?
Is it a USB drive or Firewire or Thunderbolt?

I don't know exactly what they said b/c they are nolonger on my screen. It said something to the effect of "incomplete dowload, there was an eror during the dowload of *Song*".
The songs purchased were showing in my purchased list with an "exclamation point" by them, which I believe indicates the download was incomplete. I restarted iTunes and the songs are no longer on my "Purchased list".

Text goes wonky when trying to copy from PDF

Hi all,
I'm having a problem when trying to copy text from a PDF which is distilled from a PostScript file. When i paste it into anywhere this is just all rubbish and symbols.
I'm running distiller 5.0.5 and PPD 3011.104. The font's should be TrueType however they just up as custom encoded Type 1 fonts with a prefix "File" in front of the name. e.g. FileSwis721BT
Does any one have any idea's.
(please note this is not to do with restriced copying access in distiller, the options are all unticked!)

First, this is the wrong forum for this discussion...
Second, Distiller 5.0.5 is almost 10 years old at this time and Adobe no longer supports it.
Third, it sounds like your Postscript may/does have problems based on the font issues. But w/o seeing the PS, we can only guess.

Error -50 when trying to copy files to external hard drive.

When trying to copy files (itunes music folder) to an external hard drive, I get the following message: Copying music failed. An unknown error occurred (-50).
I have tried repairing disk permissions but still get the message. Any thoughts?

A couple of posts referencing "error -50" seem to indicate that the error could result from a corrupted file.
One from Kappy follows:

One way you could save your music to the other drive would be to do it folder by folder (dragging each artist's folder, to the other drive). I suspect you won't have many (if any) errors doing that, and if you hit the corrupted file, you can come back to that folder and see which one is bad. You could also try to drag groups of artists folders to the drive if you had quite a few. One note: If you save your files this way, you won't be saving the library, which contains all the playlists you've created...you'll have to recreate them.
If you needed that music down the road, you could just do a File>Import from iTunes....
