Illustrator CC tools working strangely using Cintiq 24HD on OsX Yosemite.

Hello everyone. A couple of weeks ago I got a Cintiq 24HD to replace a previous one. I mostly use the tablets to work with PS but do some illustrator work with them too. So far I've used 3 different tablets with this same 27" iMac, a 21Ux, a 22HD (for only a day) and this 24HD one.
Ever since I switched to the 24HD, I haven't been able to use Illustrator due to a strange bug that messes up with every tool.
It seems like the tools "snap" to a point outside the area of the 24HD, to the far left of the screen, "pulling" everything I try to do towards that point, be it a selection or a figure or whatever I try.
Im attaching a picture to better illustrate this. In this picture my mouse pointer was located on the upper right corner of the long rectangle you see there. I was actually trying to pull the square tool to the right to create a perfect square, and that is what happens.
This only happens with illustrator. Photoshop works perfectly.
Apparently, this is one more issue related to this Yosemite thing.
Anyone else having or experienced this sort of issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

IIRC this issue has been brought up couple of weeks ago. Seems to be some issue with Yosemite (maybe only 10.10.2). There's not much you can do about it, but you might try and search for it in the forum.

Use of IWeb in OsX Yosemite

Our IMac was acquired in 2010 and came with IWeb as one of the loaded applications. We have found this quite useful. We learned from friends who bought IMacs a year or two later that IWeb was no longer part of the package. While considering whether to upgrade to OsX Yosemite, we are wondering if this will still allow use of IWeb, or whether this might be lost.

why would you use Pages when there are templates in iweb
as for the URL question, that is determined by the host, not iweb which just writes the page. but I would not use tinyurl since it has become a favorite of phishers and other web nasties. it might be worth getting a domain name if you can find a good deal.
i would search for some realtor sites to see the kinds of information they are giving and how they are laying it out. and make sure that all photos look really really good. nothing is more off putting on a house ad than crappy photos

Why doesn't the Map module work with Lightroom 5.6 on OSX Yosemite?

Since upgrading to OSX Yosemite the Map module won't display the roads or satellite images with Lightroom 5.6. Sometimes it will download a small portion of the imagery but then it just displays the message "No imagery available". If I try and zoom in all I get is a blank view.
It's nothing to do with my internet connection as Google Maps in Safari comes up instantly.

Adobe acknowledged this problem some months ago in the official Adobe feedback forum, but it still hasn't been addressed:

CS5 owners have simply been reinstalling CS5 from the original disk, or purchased download. That seems to be fixing it.

I think in CS5, it was called "Live-Trace." Whatever it's called, it should become available on the options panel (the context-sensitive control panel at the top) when you select a trace-eligible raster image on your artboard.

Does Wacom cintiq 24hd work with windows 8?

I want to buy the Wacom cintiq 24hd (the non-touch). I'm reading a little around the different sites, but I'm not able to see if it works with windows 8 or not. I need to know this so I can be sure I can use it with photoshop. I hope you are willing to help me out on this!

Wacom's own page for the Cintiq 24HD specifically states Windows 8 as one of OS's that work with it. (It's at the bottom; you have to click to expand the specs.)

The video I am watching this guy is just dragging every line to make curves. And every anchor point is a corner. He is not switching back and forth between the pen and the anchor points tool, and he is not using the convert points tool. He draws a curved line and starts another straight line only to curve it with a click and a drag. It is super efficient, and I could save a world of time if I could figure out what he is doing.

Direct select tool in illustrator CC not working

I think i might of, at some point, hit a shortcut key by mistake that has rendered my direct select tool duff. But after a lot of search and going through options i can't figure out what's going on.
If i select the direct select tool (A), click on my expanded stroke split into dashed lines. Usually i'd be able to use direct select to target each dash, but instead now nothing gets select when i use my direct select. Nothing at all. It's bugging the hell outta me as it's effecting my workflow. Is this a bug, or an option that's been switched on/off?

Is the Direct Selection Tool working normally for other tasks?
If it is, there must be something strange about the former dashes. You may have a closer look at them in the Layers palette.
If not, there may be preference corruption. You may press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during restart of Illy, or Move the folder (follow the link with that name); the latter is reversible.

Elements 11 - Brush tool not working when using layer mask

My brush tool won't work when using layer mask in PS Elements 11. I also have Elements version 10 installed and there it works fine. If I do the exact same proces in version 11 nothing happens.
Is this a bug or has something changed in the proces?

Make sure you have the mask thumbnail selected - it will be highlighted in blue.

The "Sample Field" letters are very dim. After punching several times the right click revels "Clone stamp mode". The next little circle has a line through it and after several right clicks, it says: "turn on to ignore adjustment layers when cloning," Despite this I cannot get any kind of a response to change any of the existing entries. Enter Key Not Working When Using Text Tool

For some reason, my enter key has stopped working when using the text tool. Instead of making a soft return to a new line, it simply commits the type. What is going on here?
I'm using a desktop and CS3.

there are 2 enter keys in key board
if u enter main key board enter, sentence will go to next line
In case u enter the key available in rightside of the key board , in the cluster of numericals, the type tool is committed.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences):
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press CtrlAltShift/CmdOptionShift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Illustrator CS5 no tools work except hand tool

Hi,
I've just installed the adobe illustrator CS5 on my mac os X Lion 10.7 and now when I open an .ai document or try to create a new one The only tool I can use is the hand tool. When I try to click on another one the hand comes back automatically when the mouse is on the document.

Yeah! I've turned on the acces for peripheral help.
