Illustrator CS4 gradients across a large wall - banding?

Hi,
I have just received a design which needs to be artworked in illustrator. The designer has a light green to dark green radial gradient which goes across the whole wall, with a black gradient to white multiply ontop. Should I be concerned about banding?
I am using illustrator CS5 and Mac OSX Snow Leopard

Not necessarily, but if you set the goal too high, any transition will be unsatisfactory. Large means coarse. If you use a strong magnifier on a delicate pinting you will just see parts of strokes.
You may think in terms of congruence: the artwork will appear the same if the ratio of viewing distance to size is the same; about 0.9 m wide viewed at a distance of 1 m corresponds to about 9 m viewed at 10 m, both will be viewed at the same angle.
If you can print it in a representative way at a smaller size with the same total number of dots, you can view it at the corresponding distance.
Apart from that, the measures do not add up. The 950 to the left look more like 1000 (and if not, the total would be 9000 instead of 9050).
