Illustrator CS5 trial--download will not open

After a complete download and extraction period, the message "illegal seek" appears on my Mac when I attempt to open.

I did find a thread on the Apple discussion forums at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3112605?start=0&tstart=0 which seems to indicate the download could be corrupted.  I would recommend deleting the currently downloaded file and then try downloading again.  If you continue to have difficulties you may want to try using an alternate Internet connection.

    Sorry for the inconvenience that has caused to you.
    Please let me know if you have tried converting any other PDF to word with Reader.
    Alos, please sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials. Click on 'ExportPDF' tab and upload the PDF that you want to convert to Word.
    Let me know if this converts fine.

    Photoshop CS6 Trial Version will not open on my MacBook Pro 10.6.8. Message: Photoshop CS6 will not open on this type of Mac. Dreamweaver opened without a problem. When I go into my Adobe Application Manager, it shows Photoshop and Dreamweaver as installed even though I had to unistall Photoshop. I was hoping to try the download again??

    Imac G5 OS 10.4.11 Itunes will not connect to radio or store.  Errors out check internet connection.  Safari connects fine. 
    New downloads will not open i.e. ms office critical update, nor Filemaker re-validate registration, also new intaller of itunes 9.2.1 etc.
    After clean install of 10.4 and all updates same problem.
    Other 10.4.11 systems I have work fine on ibook etc. 
    Can I move the system app that opens .dmg files from OK system to imac?  Would that even solve the problem?

    You have 10.4.11 Macs that iTunes can connect to the iTunes Store???
    I was pretty sure they changed to a minimum of 10.6.8

  • Photoshop CS5 64 bit will not open in windows 8

    PS CS5 will not open in windows 8 (neither will lightroom install)

    I am also having the same issue. I have Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.  The program worked fine in Windows 7 64bit. I recently upgraded laptops to a Samsung with Windows 8 - 64bit.  After full install program will not run/open.  Here is what I have tried to no avail:
    Right Click Photoshop.exe file > Properties > Compatibility Tab >
    Run Compatibility Troubleshooter > Troubleshoot Program >
    Checked box that reads: The program worked on earlier versions of Windows but will not install or run >
    NEXT > Selected Windows 7 for last version program ran on > NEXT >
    Test the Program button > NEXT > No this did not help, report the issue to Microsoft >
    Check for more solutions >  Issues Found with Yellow Exclamation Point - "Incompatible Program Detected" >
    CLOSE
    No other options have worked either. Ive tried compatibility for Windows XP SP2 and SP3 and neither of those worked either.
    I really do not want to pay to upgrade already - how can this be fixed??

  • CS5 64 bit will not open

    I purchased a Sony Vaio with Win 7 64 bit to use CS5 64 bit.
    The program installs perfectly but when opening it gets to the final initalization and I get the "Adobe photoshop CS5 has stopped working" error.
    I've diabled all security and User account controls then reinstalled, I've even gone as far as a factory reset then redownloaded and reinstalled with no cure.
    The 32 bit version and Bridge work fine and the 64 bit version even opens in Safe Mode but still will not open in Admin or regular user accounts.
    Anyone have a clue?  Sony is not very helpful.

    I completely removed the Wacom driver and CS5 64 bit opened just like it should!
    Unfortunately those were the newest drivers for the Wacom Bamboo.  I'll try it again.  I can always remove them again.

    The files I created in the trial version of Indesign CC will not open now that I have the monthly subcription to Indesign CC. They are .indd and .idml Files. When trying to open them I get a message that says "no application is able to open these files".

    Whenever I download items and I click on them in the download bar they will not open and they say "sorry we could not open this because it does not have anything to install into"

    It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
    Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

    I just got my iMac G4. It is used but for the most part works fine. But I am having problems downloading. The internet explorer that was on it was not loading right so I was told to download firefox. I downloaded it everything went smooth until I tried to open it. It flickered and then nothing. I tried reinstalling my Mac OS X 10.2 but that changed nothing. So I tried downloading a few different games to see if it was just the firefox ap. But everything I tried downloading did the same thing. I checked all the system requirments and everything matches up fine.I don't know what else to try.     I am using my husbands pc to get on here. My mac will open everything that was already installed on it. All of the applications open fine except internet explorer. It only peices parts of ech web site together. It still logs onto the internet just halfway loads all pages and some pages will not load at all. So My grandpa suggested firefox. But my problem is not firefox anymore. its that nothing will download right. I downloaded the application it went through the install process correctly and popped onto the desk top. I copied to my applications folder like it said. when I was done downloading I double click the icon to open and by flickering I mean it shows a square outline as if its about to open but the the outline disappears and nothing else happens. I can redownload all day anything but the same thing happens everytime. And I know the 10.2 version is older so I have been downloading what will work with the 10.2 But I also have not touched a mac for over 6 years so I don't intirly know what I doing anymore.   • CS5.5 InDesign will not open but says "quit unexpectedly"

    I own a copy of the Adobe creative suite. All programs have been working fine except for InDesign. Within the last week, every time I attempt to open the program, it does not open and gives the following error message: "InDesign quit unexpectedly." See screen shot below of message details. The only think I can think of that might have effected it, is the free fonts I've downloaded recently, but that is not effect this same set up on my MAC desktop and it is not effecting my other Adobe programs, like Photoshop for example.
    I have restarted me computer.
    I have held down shift, control, option, & command while launcing InDesign and deleted InDesign Preference Files.
    I have uninstalled & reinstalled InDesign, the entire Adobe Suite, and every since Adobe program for a total of three times.
    I have also followed this link's instructions: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6, HOWEVER, when I ran the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool (Step 3), there were no files to select from for cleaning. I selected "all", and proceeded, although there was nothing to "clean". I was also unable to follow step 4. "Verify that the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool completed successfully" as I did not understand the instructions. I opened TextEdit, but did not know how I was supposed to open /Users[user name]/Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.log.
    Please HELP! I've spend hours and am no further in figuring this out!

  • My illustrator cs5 eyedropper tool will not pick up any color! help!

    I have been scrolling through this forum and google, and have not found an answer.
    My Illustrator CS5 has been working all day, and I went away from it momentarily to pack some boxes for moving and the eye dropper tool started picking up colors that didn't exist in the placed image i'm grabbing from.
    (clearly not black within that circle...)
    I "found" a solution on this site where you go into your eyedropper options and make sure your appearance boxes are checked, and they weren't so I did that, and now the eyedropper tool won't pick up any color at all.
    I have a project deadlines that require this program, and i've tried just about everything but re-installing.
    Anybody have ANY solutions?
    Here are the way my settings are now:
    P.s. I'm not crazy tech saavy, so go explanation crazy if you'd like.

    It's not live traced just vectored with the pencil tool!
    I was trying to grab the individual pixel color from a jpeg, cmyk image to apply to the shapes drawn with the pencil tool.
    I'm not sure what the problem was with the tool/program, but it seems to have fixed itself!
