Estimados, en el foro de inglés de Illustrator varios usuarios se han quejado del problema que hay al querer usar Illustrator CS6/CC con Windows 8.1. Les aparece este error:

Esta aplicación no es compatible con el idioma del sistema operativo actual. Abra el Panel de control "Opciones regionales y de idioma" en el menú Inicio de Windows.
Adobe ha respondido diciendo que están enterados del problema y que están en comunicación con Microsoft para resolverlo. Mientras tanto sugieren algunas medidas alternas para lidiar con este problema hasta que sea resuelto. Básicamente sugieren que se regrese a Windows 8 (o que se use la versión en inglés!). First of all, our apologies for the inconveniences. Our team is aware of the incompatibility issue of Spanish WIN 8.1 RTM with Spanish Adobe Illustrator CC & CS6. We are currently working with Microsoft to investigate the issue and will be providing a fix as soon as possible.

Illustrator CS6 - opens in window too small
Anytime I double-click on an Illustrator file to open it, the Illustrator CS6 window opens up too small to view the file. It comes up with an error message that says "Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase document area and try again."
If I then click on the box to expand the Illustrator window to full-size, then I can open the file. It's just frustrating that everytime I try to open an AI file by double-clicking on it, I get this error message.Like many I'm experiencing the same problem. 'Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase document area and try again.' Running Windows 7 - dual monitors although I don't believe that's the problem. Tried the suggestion in preferences uncheck 'open documents as tabs' didn't work. Tried Properties shortcut tab choose 'Maximized' didn't work. This is what I find, when I right click to open a PDF in Illustrator - I can open the first illustration (if it was closed using Exit), but I get this error on the second illustration I try to open in the same way. If I close an illustration using the X than when I try to open the illustration the next time I get the error message. If I chose Close or Ctrl W - the next time I open the application I get the error - HOWEVER, if I close the application by hitting Exit it will open properly the next time. Even if the first illustration opens properly I still have a problem with the second one. Can anyone help as this is a pain. Been using CS6 for sometime but this just started happening ~ 3 months ago so it didn't start with the upgrade.

Is there a way to run Illustrator CS6 under a Windows XP standard user account?
I spoke with Adobe Support over the phone and the only answer I could get was Illustrator must be run under an admin account.
For those who may be interested in helping figure this one out:
This is installed on an enterprise network, therefor handing out admin privledges is not the preferred solution. I have a privledge manager that allows directories and the files and folders within to run with administrative privleges so I was thinking with C:\Program Files\Adobe\, C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\, and C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Adobe\ all allowed to run elevated that might work. Unfortunatly it did not.
After further examination I noticed that when I try and run Illustrator as the user, Illustrator.exe will start under that users username, but only for a few seconds and then terminates with no error or event in the Event Log. However if I do a runas and use elevated credentials, Illustrator.exe runs as SYSTEM and opens perfectly fine.
Anybody ever run into this or have any suggestions?

Illustrator CS6 opening and saving problem. Please help

I have Illustrator CS6 installed on windows 8.1. Every time I save a file as ai. format, it will automatically create a copy on the desktop. When I deleted the copy and try opening the original file, the error message "The file is an unknown format and cannot be opened" pops up. I've checked that the file is not "read only", deleted the pref files and even reinstalled Illustrator CS6 but none of these have solved the problem. I have also noticed that I cannot copy or rename the file as the same error message pops up. Any solutions? please help(1) When I go to open files, raw or jpeg, I now need to enter a value for 'enable' on the open dialog. That never was necessary before.
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels/Dialogs visible?
(2) When I go to save as jpeg, the file type defaults to eps.
So you select jpg from the dropdown list and it switches to eps? -

It is necessary to have or acquire a licence to get (legal) access to an older version, and that is based on the serial number.
For (legal versions of CS5 and) CS6 (to work) you have to register, so if you buy a used version second hand, make sure you get a licence transfer through Adobe.

新規ファイル作成→ファイルから配置して該当ファイルを配置後に、中身見えるか確認をお願いします。
見えない場合はファイルが壊れています。
保存されている場所がネットワークドライブやクラウドストレージ、外付けHDDであれば直接保存は破損しやすいので
一度ローカルで上で保存してからの移動をオススメします。
環境設定ファイル初期化すると、意外にも改善することもあります。

Just installed the trial version of the new Illustrator CS6 release and what do I find... some very strange behaviour from the app.
Okay so basically all is well until I try to drag or interact with any object... a wall of gray just shadows the whole area of the screen to the right of the cursour. The gray mass would only dissapear if I pan the artboard or zoom in or out
What the heck is going on?
My system info:
Illustrator CS6 64bit version
Windows 7 64bit
i7 2600k
Nvidia 9 series
16gb RAM
Check this screencapI'm having a similar issue but it's not the wall of gray. I'm getting lines and blocks of gray. Our photographer is getting the same thing on a different computer and chipset. We are both running intel macs. Here's a screenshot. I really really hope they fix this because I just ordered updates for CS6 and would hate to have to use CS5.5.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stopped working on Windows 7
I've seen a few posts about this and I stall haven't seen it stop or a fix that works.
I use Illustrator any length of time (up and running just a few minutes till up for weeks on end) and as soon as I quit (either by File -> Exit, the X in the corner or Alt -> F4) it closes panels and after a bit pops up that "Adobe Illustrator CS6 has stoppped working. Microsoft is looking for a solution to this problem."
It saves the recently opened files. All settings seem to save as I don't need to reset them. But of course its worrisome.
Note:
Everything has been unisnstalled and reinstalled 3 times.
All permissions have always looked okay.
I have tried running it as Administrator and still have had it happen
Illustrator has been the only program of all the ones installed to have this issue.
Are there any fixes I've missed? I'm a cloud client so have expected a patch for a while now to come out fixing this, as I've updated Illustrator a few times since starting using CS6.

Unable to start Illustrator CS6 64-bit on Windows 7
I installed the CS6 Master Upgrade yesterday and almost all of the apps are working correctly. However, when I try to open Illustrator CS6 64-bit it returns this error message: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." The 32-bit version works correctly. Any suggestions or similar cases? Thanks.

I saw the Lightroom (error unable to start correctly) fix mentioned in a few places, and thought frick I've tried EVERYTHING else. I did the following to fix this annoying issue:
1) Download the Lightroom fix (mentioned in the link from crebimacedo)
2) Extract the .dll files from the .zip. There are 2 files; msvcr80.dll and msvcr100.dll
3) Opened folder Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64 Bit)/Support Files/Contents/Windows
4) The above folder already contains the msvcr80.dll so I did NOT overwrite it. I simply copied and paste the msvcr100.dll into the above folder.
5) Tried to launch Illustrator CS6 (x64) and imagine that. WORKING!
To me this says that this was indeed an Adobe issue and their installer appears to be missing a file. Especially when a fix file from their website resolves the issue.
I would also just like to add that I have confirmed that this file already existed in my C:\Windows\System32 and in C:\WindowsSysWOW64 so my OS was NOT missing it as a .dll; again reiterating that it appears to make this an Adobe issue.

Optional Components Fail to Install with Illustrator CS6 via Creative Cloud on Windows 8
Hello,
I'm a paid subscriber to the creative cloud and I'm having a problem with installing Illustrator CS6 through the Adobe Application Manager on Windows 8 64-Bit. I've tried redownloading and reinstalling through the app multiple times to no avail.
My specs are as follows
Windows 8 64-Bit
16GB Memory
Installing to 120GB SSD with 30GB free space
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 1.5 GB
The OS is completely up to date, as well as the other CS6 Apps I have installed through the manager (Which all installed easily and work well!): Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro Family, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Audition, SpeedGrade, Prelude, Lightroom 4.1, and Acrobat XI Pro.

thanks for the fast response. cs5 remembered the window position. I like having the window in the middle as I have a 27" monitor. I just upgraded to cs6 yesterday and I'm sure it was remembering the window document position. I think. If i find out how to fix this, I'll post it here.
And while I'm on the subject of cs6, why the f*** did adobe combine the stroke and swatches pallettes? Now I forever have to click stroke and swatch tabs all day. And I love the army and navy file icons of photoshop and illustrator. I won't comment on Acrobat X. ; (
