HELP! HOW CAN I GET THE DOWNLOAD ASSISTANT TO WORK ON MY MAC? IT KEEPS POPPING BACK AN ERROR IN THE INSTALLATION CONFIGURATION. CAN'T I GET A DIRECT DOWNLOAD W/OUT GOING THRU THE DOWNLOAD ASSISTANT?

    I'm trying to install Illustrator CS6 through the Adobe Application Manager on Mountain Lion 10.8.  All of the other apps downloaded and installed fine.
    But when trying to downlaod Illustrator, it downlaods the file, and the a message appears saying "The download appears corrupted.  Please Cancel, wait a few minutes and try again. (-60)".  I've been trying off and on for the past week or so now.

    Not sure if it's relevant since the other apps installed fine, but I'm currently installing to a new external SSD drive that I've booted from.  I'm installing all the software I need onto it.  Then once I'm done and ready, I'll swap drives.
    I'm running Apple OS 10.8 on a Macbook Pro with 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo procs and 8GB of RAM.  The MacBook Pro is a 17-inch early 2009 model (first unibody model).

    Hi Adam,
    Its a workaround but might be an easy solution, you might just download and install the Illustrator CS6 trial and then just license it to be part of your Creative Cloud membership using the "License This Software" option.

    Thanks but it seems Adobe doesn't think I have bought the software. Perhaps it's because I buy the Serial Number from other source (shop.edu.cn, a website provide Chinese teachers and student with coupon).

    Depending on your OS, you should be able to use;

    Some have found that the page may turn up blank to start with, so it may be necessary to reload the page.
    Others have found that it may depend on browser. Specifically, a switch from Safari has solved it in one case.

    Hi, I hope someone can help.
    I downloaded an Illustrator CS6 trail, which while I was using it (novice) crashed a few time. I had to force quit and start whatever I was doing again.
    After the trail ended, I purchased the full Illustrator CS6, which I downloaded direct from Adobe. The confirmation email I got said there was no need to uninstall the trail.
    Now, I'm trying to use this product and it crashes on every use. And being a novice, I'm only asking it to do simple things like change the colour of something! Today, it's crashed 3 times in a row and needed a force quit, each time on the very first command I gave it. I'm using the most up to date version of the software.
    I'm guessing the first thing i should do is uninstall it and try and re-download, but I've spent a while on the Adobe site trying to work out how to do this to no avail.
    Should I un-install and re-download? And if so, how do I do this? I'm on a Mac using OS X 10.6.8.
    Sorry for asking the most basic question ever. I do hope someone can give me a few pointers here.

    You have Distiller (used by the PDF Printer) or the Acrobat Quick Launcher running in the background. Shut down the processes or terminate them in task manager.

    I'm having the same issue. I keep getting:
    "Too many redirects occurred trying to open “https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page."
