Illustrator CS6 help thinks it's not connected to the internet

This problem just cropped up for me today after using illustrator online and offline for the last year. The app suddenly thinks it's not connected to the internet when we are. I get the error message: "To access online help or to download help contents, you need to be connected to the internet." I haven't been able to find any fixes. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution. Thank you.

Let's start with some troubleshooting an arrow down this issue.

Hi, I have found this answer in a post and it has just worked for me.
    Here is the solution:
    1) Open Internet Explorer.
    2) Go to Tools->Internet Options.
    3) Go the the Connections tab.
    4) Click on Lan Settings.
    5) Check the box that says "Automatically detect settings."
    6) Apply/OK out and close IE.
    7) Go back to iTunes and try it again. You may have to restart the program.

  • Help! Time Capsule not connected to the Internet

    Hi everyone!
I have this problem, and hope someone can help me.
In my house I have this network
Modem/Router Netgear DGN2200 connected via ethernet to Airport Express.
Airport Express is set to create a wireless network, bridge mode.
In the house I also have a Time Capsule set to extend the wireless network, bridge mode.
Time Capsule is connected via ethernet to my TV decoder to have extra services through the Internet.
Ok. All worked fine until a couple of days ago.
Then, I didn't change anything but Time Capsule (and so the TV decoder) seems to have no acces to the Internet anymore.
But Time Capsule is still available on the local network, so I can access to it, make backups and so on.
    What should I do?!
Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad English.
    Matteo

Did you try a simple reboot of the network devices.. turn off all the network stuff..
    Restart in correct order..
    1. Modem.. wait 2 min.
    2. Express.. wait 2min.
    3. TC.. wait 2min.
Then try the TV.. if it doesn't work reset both the express and TC to factory.. and redo the setup.. you had them setup correctly but please use SMB names.. since the TV will not talk apple.. SMB names are short.. 2-20 characters.. no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
so for example the name of the Express.. AEx Name of the TC.. TC1
    Name for wireless. Aex24ghz
Use a different name for 5ghz if your Express is a dual band latest model. Aex5ghz
Use fixed channel so that it is locked.. eg. 2.4ghz on channel 11 5ghz on channel 40.
The TC will follow the wireless exactly.
    See how you go.

  • "Not connected to the Internet" - YES I AM!

Hi, I'm not as angry as those capital letters would imply. This isn't a critical issue, just annoying.
None of the products in the eLearning Suite seem to be able to deal with an authenticated proxy environment. Even though I've been prompted for credentials, many of the Internet-dependent functions fail to work. Two examples:
Adobe Presenter 8.01 > Help ... "Not connected to the Internet. Check your internet connection and then try to access the help."
Adobe Captivate 6.01 > Help ... Program seizes up for a minute or so while it desperately tries to connect, then ... nothing. No error message. No help.
Thankfully, Help > Updates... and Adobe Application Manager have no problem downloading and installing updates. No other program on this machine has any problem prompting for credentials and accessing the Internet.
    Any ideas?

I do understand you are behind a proxy. Normally when you need to activate there are some addresses you need to have access to. You did state it's working for you for most part of the activation. But please check with IT to see if they can test to see if unblocking this is helping for stability ff so: you can not use the software in your 'protected' enviorment. Best thing is to test or you will never know whats causing the issue.

  • CS6 Design and Web Premium: can't open DW as it tells me I'm not connected to the internet

I downloaded CS6 Design and Web Premium 30 day trial, but can't open Dream Weaver as it tells me I need to install a java runtime to do this but that I can't because I'm (apparently) not connected to the internet. I am connected however, and when I try the network diagnostics it also confirms that I'm connected to the WiFi.

  • HT4199 What does it mean when I click on my wifi name and the bars come up but the network keeps thinking and the ipad says safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet. ?

What does it mean when I click on my wifi name and it show I'm on my wifi, but the network keeps thinking and the ipad says, Safari cannot open this page because it is not connected to the internet. ?

When you click on the WiFi network name, have you also provided the password for accessing the network?  You should get a dialogue box asking you for the security information the first time you connect.
If you are not able to connect, you might want to go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings.
Then go back to Settings > WiFi and select your network name again and make sure the security information is now entered correctly.
If you still cannot connect, power down the router, wait a few minutes, power up the router, with the iPad powered down the whole time, and after the router has had several minutes to stabilize power up the iPad.  See if it now connects correctly.

  • My macbook 13 pro is not connecting to the internet even though the airport says it's connected. Can someone help me?

My macbook 13 pro is not connecting to the internet even though the airport says it's connected. Can someone help me? My iphone and other macbook connect and work no problem. What steps can I take?

    Ok....
Now go to your router's settings.  Not sure who makes your router...
Look at wireless part of it and see how many computers are actually hooked up to it.
Delete your computer from it (in your router).
    Restart your router.
After your router has restarted, try to connect to it with your MB and see if you can browse the net.

  • "itunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet" Help?

Hello all, new to the forums.
I've been recieving the error message "itunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet". This problem didn't occur at all for the past 2 years of using itunes.
I've already scanned through numerous websites and forums for help, but none of them worked.
This  set of instructions resulted in no change to any of the problems, though iTunes lists that as the supposed solution.
    # Open Internet Options from control panel.
    # Click the Connections tab.
    # Click the LAN Settings button.
    # Select the Automatically detect settings checkbox.
Others include installing IE7, which that didn't work either.
    Can anyone help?
