Illustrator cs6 stopped working
I have got a subscipriton to creative cloud. I have a laptop and a desktop. both were working fine until a few weeks ago when the desktop version of illustrator CS6 stopped working. all other apps are fine. totally wierd. have unistalled and reinstalled, and also repaired permissions just in case but it still wont work.
basically it boots up OK and then when you go to drop down menus its all greyed out so unusable. even quit is greyed out so i have to force quit to close it.
any ideas?? very irritating and im desparate to get this working asap as got a backlog of work to do.

Illustrator CS6 stopped working upon opening
Just over a month ago I had installed the trial version of Illustrator CS6 to try it out. I had also done the same with PS CS6.
I decided to buy and so bought the whole Web and Design collection. After ordering it I decided to remove the old trials to ensure a simpler installation of the whole package. So I uninstalled these the other day using the Program add/delete in the Control Panel and then deleted the folders that contained Adobe products except for my Adobe reader etc.
I had a few issues with Flash player after and a script in Word so I restored my computer to an earlier date and then just removed the bare minimum.
Now I have just installed the new package and everything works fine. Serial number, then logging in with Adobe ID then installing.
The issue is if I open Illustrator it opens but within seconds blanks out and a window pops up saying it has stopped working. I hoped that I could go into the Computer's add/remove to see if I could fix but none of the new programs are even listed.
I need to get some graphics done and really need to be able to open Illustrator ASAP.
If it helps, the exe file is in the support file folder which I did not know it should be in. Is there a way of fixing this easily? Like a fix program that could diagnose the issue?

Please note, all the other programmes open: PS, Fireworks, Dreamweaver. However Bridge also doesn't.
I also tried running as administrator and this doesn't help.

Just an afterthought. Could I uninstall and then reinstall? As it is on the same computer I assume Adobe would know that I wasn't trying to use the serial number a second time on someone else's computer. I just don't know what else to do. The live chat is not available until Monday and I really need to use Illustrator over the weekend to prepare a design for a client.I am sorry, Windows 7, x64.
I ended up taking the trial download of Illustrator out of my recycle bin and reinstalling only that. It opened. However I clicked quickly on file before it had a chance to close as I read somewhere that can break the glitch. Right now I am not going to close it until I finish the work just in case.
I checked the Event Viewer but it did not give a reason.

Illustrator CS6 Stops working in Windows 7 when Opening file or Starting new project
Just installed CS6 (legal copy with serial number) on Windows 7 (64bit) computer. Photoshop seems to work fine. Illustrator opens, but when I try to open an existing file or start a new file windows says the program has stopped working. I've already removed every Adobe product I could find on the computer and reinstalled. I also tried deleting the AppsData\Roaming\Adobe\AdobeIllustrator\en_US folder.
Try checking for permissions on these folders one by one: C:\Users\Current_User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CSx Settings

Adobe
Adobe Illustrator CSx Settings
Permissions on above folders should be R & W.
If these settings are fine then check for permissions on these folders at location: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CSx\Presets\

Permissions on above folders should atleast be 'Read' or 'Read & Write' both.
This might help. Since, it works for you using different user account then it is definitely a user permissions issue. -

My system is slowing down after nearly two years, and I am dreading a reinstall - there always seems to be something you have forgotten! What really worries me is what happens to existing raid0 arrays seeing as the mainboard needs drivers. They are backed up, but I just don't trust a single level backup, and will have to add a further 3Tb of drive space to make a straight copy of the raid0 arrays. I also like the idea of Windows 8.1, but dread finding out that the drivers don't work!
The Premiere Pro hardware forum is the perfect place to ask about stuff like that. Harm, Bill, Erik etc. are super clued up on such things, so I shall run my concerns past them before committing.
So I wish you good luck again, and I know you'll make a plan before going ahead with it. -

Normally they don't. You might have some sort of problem on your system, possibly a conflict with other software, or corrupt ID prefs or application. Trashing the prefs is easy, and good place to start: Replace Your Preferences
It will help if you tell us the OS version, whther you've installed the 8.0.1 patch, and how you are trying to access the commands, and what happens when you do. Is this isolated to one file, or does it happen with all files? -
Adobe Illustrator CC, error at start up. States Illustrator has stopped working?
Adobe Illustrator CC, 64 or 32 bit applications open, then show an errore stating "Illustrator has stopped working". Windows then tries to find a solution but cannot and the program closes.
Before tryig reinstalling, refer to below. This worked for me.

I may have been able to resolve my issue. I held shift while opening Illustrator and opened it in a bare bones mode, then closed it and reopened it without getting the error message. Good luck to you. -
Illustrator 10 stopped working suddenly
When I tried to open Illustrator 10 on my Windows 7 Dell laptop today, a window popped up saying "Adobe Illustrator has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution." After a few seconds the message informed me that Windows would close the program, and I only had the "Close Program option." This has never happened before. I tried chatting with Adobe support online, and was told to rename my Adobe Illustrator 10 folder within the user/appdata/adobe/ folder to something else. I did that and tried to launch again. This time, and new folder was created, the Illustrator splash screen flashed on for less than a second then dissappeared. Then nothing. At this point, the person with whom I was chatting told me to call the product support specialist line, which I did. After awhile on the phone and being put on hold, the specialist informed me that Illustrator 10 is no longer supported.
I understand this is an old program, but it has served me extremely well and I have no need (or money) to upgrade. I haven't installed anything new on my laptop or made any other significant changes. This just suddenly started happening. I've uninstalled/reinstalled several times to no avail.
If anyone has any idea why this would be happening or what I can do, please let me know!!! Thanks.Thank you for letting us know, Jim. At least I was pondering, so far without any clues.

Adobe media core cs6 stopped working......???
Can anyone help?. i am new to photoshop elements 10. i get this box come up on screen when i start elements "Adobe media core cs6 stopped working" . It appears elements still works but if i use smart fix for auto levels or colour the photo goes white....this never used to happen.
The editor saved prefs often get corrupted. This is because PSE saves your settings each time you close the application. Problems can sometimes occur if you don’t let the program close properly or if you launch another application too quickly whilst closing down Elements. You may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts. To begin, close Elements.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. After a few seconds release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Alternatively hold down the three keys whilst clicking on the desktop icon for the Editor or PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe in the Programs folder. Keep holding down all three keys for a few seconds; then release. You should get the settings option.
When you see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Then wait whilst Elements rebuilds the preferences.
If that doesn’t make any difference go to the Apple website and check for updates to your Quicktime player.
Also check your internet security/anti-virus software is not blocking. For example the internet filter NetNanny is known for sometimes blocking the .exe file 'Adobe QT32 Server.exe'. It may be possible to add that file to an exceptions list to prevent blocking. -

Folio Builder-Indesign CS6 stopped working
Hey to everybody!! Every time that i want to open Folio Builder it keeps appearing the same thing. Adobe Indesign CS6 stopped working. I don't know why. I tried to reinstall digital publishing suite in case if some of the archives were damaged but i can't find a solution to my problem. Any suggestions?

Normally I use a printer from my university network as my default printer, but this caused the error since the computer is not always connected to that network. Now I put the Microsoft XPS Document Writer as default and everything works fine.

Photoshop CS6 stopped working while exporting images via imageprocessor! [PC]
As the title says, my Photoshop cs6 64bit allways stops working and freezes when i attempt to export several opened documents via the imageprocessor.
I try to export them as JPEG, qualitiy 12.

so it looks like there was a porblem with MSVCR100.dll ... What is it?Thanks for your responce, i will try that but i think nvidia is on newest driver..
It would be intresting to know what this MSVCR100.dll is doing, i have seen problems in Games like Battlefield and Fallout..
I will now try to disable the GPU acceleration in PHS.. -
PS CS6 stops working when Liquify filter is choosen?
Everytime I select the liquify command PS stops working, I've tried with different resolution pictures, with the 32 and 64 bit versions. If I use CS5 I have no problems.
Liquify works with the GPU turned off.

CS6 Stopped Working on OS X Mavericks (Serial Number Revoked)
I have used Adobe Creative Suite 6 but it stopped working after I upgraded my Mac OS to Mavericks.
I contacted Adobe support and was advised to uninstall/reinstall, but it still shows the same error message “The serial number you entered has been revoked. This product cannot be licensed.”
Support staff said there is no issues with my serial number and it must be some technical issue (so they did not agree to reissue the serial number).
Please kindly advise how to solve.
I refer to this support page and tried below solutions but did not work for me.
Delete the FlexNet Publisher preferences folder: I did not have the folder.
Run the License Repair Tool: Did not work for me
Repair disk permissions: Did not work for me
Reset permissions on the FlexNet Publisher licensing service folder: I did not have the folder.
Solution 5: Reset permissions on the Adobe PCD folder: I did not have the folder.
Also, I updated Java OS X as shown here, but did not work either.
I am using Mac Book Air with Mac OS X 10.9.4. I appreciate any advise. Thanks!uninstall (using the adobe uninstaller, clean (using Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and reinstall using the installation files.
