Illustrator CS6 student pricing. Where to purchase?

Hello, everyone. I'm brand new to Adobe's products. What I want is the CS6 version of Illustrator but I'd also like to get all of the new CS6 products (the bundle that includes Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). I also want to get a "hard copy" of the software (CD-ROM) instead of .exe files online. What do I need to do in order to secure student pricing? I've contacted Adobe but haven't heard back. Can students show proof of enrollment in an educational instituation at a retail store and get Adobe student pricing? Or, must the purchase and furnishment of college related documents be provied solely on Adobe.com? Please assist. Thank you.

Yes ypu can purchase the Design and Web Premium Student version.
you just click where it says student and teacher pricing it takes to a page where you say you can show proof hat you are a student.
Then select the product or suite you want…are you sure you do not want the Cloud subscription you et it for $30 per month available to anywhere you are in the world that has internet that is.
Anyway you can buy it from Adobe but you have to send them prrof that you are a student, you might be able to do that via e-mail.
Here is the Design and Web Premium Suite $449 less than a full price version of Illustrator alone.

  • What is the pricing for Illustrator CS6 and CS5 for creative cloud and also outright purchase

I'm wanting to purchase Illustrator CS6 or prior versions either through creative cloud or outright purchase. I haven't been able to find prices other than for Illustrator CC.
    Thanks for your help!

Okay thanks. It wouldn't make sense since it costs the same per month for CC though, right?
Also, could you tell me why it is that when I click the below link (free CC trial) it launches nothing but the screen below.

  • Is Illustrator CS6 available at a student discount?

I'm trying to download Illustrator CS6 (not creative cloud) onto my home computer but since I am a student, I wanted to get the student discount. I purchased Photoshop CS6 about a year ago and it was available, but now every time I go to Creative Suite 6 for Students and Teachers, Illustrator isn't available. Is there another way I can download it? Thanks!

    kiwioz,
According to the FAQ it should still be possible.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 won't open in Mac 10.10 without Java SE 6 Runtime. Where do I get it.
I went to Jave and downloaded the latest version of Java 8 Update 31 for Mac, but it still won't open.

    dchasin,
You may be able to get round the legacy JAVA requirement as follows:
Create empty folders at “/System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk” and “/System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle”, to make Illustrator use Jave SE 8 as it should.
The solution was presented by Kals in post #7 here:

    Here are download sites:

Some have found that the page may turn up blank to start with, so it may be necessary to reload the page.
Others have found that it may depend on browser. Specifically, a switch from Safari has solved it in one case.

  • Hello all together  I have problems uploading photos in Illustrator CS6.  I can not resize it free.  can someone help me there or tell me where I have to apply?

    Hello
I have problems uploading photos in Illustrator CS6.
I can not resize it free.
can someone help me there or tell me where I have to apply?

    Steve,
    I did say, and mean,
I rustier in German than Steve may be ~ I may be rustier in German than Steve.
inspired by the German word order, or the little green guy with the long ears, or something.
French is quite a bit further down my language list (limited to small bits), the main source of understanding/recognizing being the corresponding loan words in English.
At least some years ago I could read and understand all the half/full page German sentences effortlessly, but even then I was banned from helping our kids with any German homework.

Where can I download or aquire the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator CS6? I would like to be able to save files for HTML5 and CSS. According to the "Adobe Illustrator CS6 On Demand" book, I should be able to download the HTML5 Pack from the following link:  labs.adobe.com/downloads/illustrator_html5.html.  That link does not work. Please help.  Thanks.

If this is true the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator has been deprecated, then how is one to save Illustrator CS6 files for HTML5 and CSS now? Is there another workaround?

    It's in your user folder/Lbrary/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS6
The library  folder in the user folder is hidden on Mac OS. Search Google on how to show it and thank Apple for this great idea.

  • Illustrator CS6 unavailable for students

I am a teacher at a school in Vilvoorde, Belgium. At the moment I teach Photoshop. Next year I am starting with Illustrator. Up until CS5 it was possible for students to buy Illustrator CS5 as a standalone package. Now Illustrator CS6 can only be bought in a boxed version (Design Standard is the cheapest at about 300 euro). Most of my students have already bought Photoshop CS5 at 240 euro. It is quite a problem for them to buy a package of 300 euro, of which they now only need Illustrator, which used to cost around 129 euro.
The school can still buy Illustrator as a standalone package, but students cannot.
Flash, DreamWeaver and Lightroom are still available as a standalone package.
    Why is Illustrator treated different?
    Yours sincerely,
    Peter

It seems to me tha though it should standalone I am guess Adobe thought most people that buy Illustrator also use Photoshop and since the cost of the two are less expensive in the package and you get ID in the Design Standard why not give the stiudents the break.
And quite frankly since they probably will now need ID as well even if you do not teach it will be beneficial to them as they will have the latest version and if they wanted to upgrade CS 5 to CS 6 it cost the same as the student price so it actually seems like they woud be getting a good deal.
And if they wanted to pay by time they can get the subscription.
I( don't know if it is a good complaint or not. on one had they might save 150-170 euro but on theother had they might be loosing out on an opportunity. And maybe being on the cloud is a valuable thing for students who are much more modern and use to the idea of remote storage being able to download and use the software anywhere.
maybe it could be a good thing why not discuss it withe both customer support and your students and see how they actually feel about it

  • CS6 Student/Teacher Edition - Where to re-download

I had to uninstall my CS6 Student/Teacher Edition due to some problems I was having with the software (Adobe Pro kept locking up exactly 8 seconds after opening it).
I want to re-download the software now, and in My Account under My Products & Services, I am able to find my license number, which is great. My question is, do I just download a trial version of CS6 and then plug my license number into that? Or is there a different download somewhere specifically for the "Student/Teacher" Edition that I need to download instead? If so, where do I go for that because I cannot find it anywhere.
    Thanks,
    Jo

    Thank you!
On another note, I just went into my Control Panel and under Programs & Features, found Adobe CS6. If I click that and then click Uninstall, it brings up a box where I can select one or more components of CS6. It seems odd to me that Acrobat X Pro is in the list. I had already uninstalled it separately through the Control Panel (or so I had thought). Do I need to run this uninstall also before re-installing it?
Also, is there any way to download and install JUST the Adobe X Pro for CS6? I'd love to avoid having to reinstall all of the components (and having to re-do all the customized settings I've created for each program!).
    Thanks,
    Jo
