Illustrator Entry Point Error

Illustrator CS 6.  All other application work as always did.  Illustrator, however, displays an entry point error that wasn't solved after de-installing and re-installing the whole suite and cleaning the registry using adobe's application for that purpose.   What happened is that my disk crashed and all applications had to be re-installed.  Illustrator, however, displays this message and quits.
This is my system:  Dell 8700, Windows 8.1, plenty of memory.
IF any one knows, please, help.

Metaphysically speaking, you are right.  Technically, a browser and Illustrator CS6, are two complex beasts that don't breed together and don't even try to cross pollinate each other if only to multiply their complexity factor, which I can only imagine, since they work independently.
As far as my system, this is a plain one, although I don't take it as totally innocent.
Thanks, anyway, for elevating a simple bug to a dignified philosophical consideration.

    Hello,
It's just a guess: Power Pivot uses the MSOLAP = "Microsoft OleDB Provider for OLAP" and maybe that Provider is damaged on the machine. You may try to reinstall the Provider, you can get the installer named "SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi" from
    Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 SP2 Feature Pack  =>
    ENU\x86\SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi (for 32 bit)

I downloaded iTunes onto my laptop and was getting an Apple Application Support error so I downloaded that and now I'm getting a Procedure Entry Point and Error 7 (Windows Error 127) messages. I have no clue how to go about fixing whatever the problem is...can anyone help me?

iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
    The procedure entry point
AVCFAssetCreatWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • Premiere Elements 7 Entry point error

    Hello Team,
    In trying to start (Adobe Premier Elements 7) I keep getting the following error message;
"The Procedure Entry Point FileInfoinitializerFileinfoLibrary with BIB could not be located in dynamic Link Library"
Can anyone help? I recently had this program on my C Drive and recently unistalled it and move to my external drive for
space purposes. Once I moved it to my External drive, it began to give this message.
    PLease help!!!

I agree with John on this. You can use your external for your media, and/or your Projects and Scratch Disks, but you want the program on your C:\.
Note: if you do use your external for your media files, and/or your Project files, you WILL want to set the drive letter to a constant in the OS of your computer, and to the same drive letter in any computer, where you might wish to "transport" your external to.
Otherwise, when you plug in the external, you might get a different drive letter and then have to manually locate your assets for PE. That is a lot of unnecessary work. I transport my Projects between the laptop and the workstation, and each one has a permanent drive letter assignment, that matches in the OS of each computer.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How do you fix entry point error sqlite3_wal_checkpoint

    HI All,
I just downloaded the "lastest" PUSH (iOS (iPAD/iPhone), Quicktime, iTunes upgrades for Windows 7 (x64) from Apple, and upon reboot (required) I was greeted with the following error msg.:
"The procedure entry point SQLite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll."
    How do you FIX this????
Thanks in advance for your help in resolving this matter.
    Regards   Jeff

    HI B Noir,
No that did not help.   I did copy the SQLite3.dll to the:  Program Files(x86)/common files/Apple/Mobile Device Support folder and that got rid of that error.   It appears that this is an ongoing issue with iTunes on Windows machines.  I'm starting to remember that I had to do this for the last update, fouond the fix in another forum dated in 2010.
    2 other issues also occur:
    1.  Can't backup to the computer, only to the icloud.  When I change it in itunes it reverts back to the icloud, and will not backup to the computer.
    2.  The "category list" in the radio on itunes refreshes forever, and no station appear under any category.
    Thanks for trying.
    Regards   Jeff

  • CS4 Entry Point Error

    Hi.
I'm running WinXP SP3. I just upgraded from CS2 to CS4 (and yes, I installed the update. I'm currently running 11.0.1). Whenever I load photoshop, just as it is about to finish "Initializing panels..." an error box pops up saying: "Adobe Photoshop CS4: Photoshop.exe - Entry Point Not Found" "The procedure entry point IsThreadDesktopComposited could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll." After the box pops up I press the "Okay" button (that's the only one there) and it then opens Photoshop - which works perfectly. No other errors, no missing functions, no lag. Still, it's become quite annoying to start the program like this everytime and I'm pretty sure getting an error during start up is a good indication that not everything is 100%. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should do? I attached a picture of what I get in case I wasn't able to describe my problem clearly.
    --jenn

On a Windows XP-based computer with Family Safety installed, you receive an error message: “The procedure entry point IsThreadDesktopComposited could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll” - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969155 This issue occurs when the dwmapi.dll has been installed in the Windows\System32 folder. Note: dwmapi.dll is a Windows Vista file that may have been installed by another application. Just rename it to dwmapi.dll.bak and the error goes away. I hope this helps. It worked for me.

Is the other machine "IDENTICAL" in terms of operating system, software, etc? Does the error occur when trying to acquire an image in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), as well as in your programming environment? Have you tried reinstalling the NI-IMAQ driver? Has this system always exhibited this problem, or are these errors a new phenomenon?

The Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control or Database Control should display the following network utilization metrics for each network interface:
    Network Interface Combined Utilization (%)

If these metrics are not displayed for a particular network interface, create the $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/config/network_speed file and enter the network interface name and speed in the file as follows. Hi Daryl,
POWRPROF.dll is a Windows file that Illustrator uses. It be that this file is damaged or because of an issue with the registry on the computer.
I would first try uninstalling (Control Panel > Programs & Features) and reinstalling Illustrator and see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't that file might have been corrupted and you may need to replace the current version with a version from the Windows 7 installation media.

  • Tried to upgrade and after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, keep getting "procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  Error 7.....Help, please??

Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library"  followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  "Error 7".    Help, please??

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
