Illustrator error in windows 8

My Illustrator CS6 (trial mode) is with error 16, and it's not reinstalling nor unistalling. I tried to run the cc cleanner, but it's not running either. My windows is 8, and not even the adobe suport has instuctions to windows 8!

Error 16 means the licensing system isn't working and this could be anything from a busted install to the required services not initializing, possibly due to permissions issues or security stuff. Based on your generic info nobody can realyl say more than that. in any case, you need to fix those issues. Check your permissions/ user privileges, turn off security stuff, try compatibility modes.

I can't start Illustrator CC on Windows 8.1 64bit.

I can't start Illustrator CC on Windows 8.1 64bit.

I've installed some apps (Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Muse) from Cloud and they work correctly. When I try to run Illustrator there's an infromation on screen (error raport) that Illustrator can't work 'cos of system operation language (cannot run with Unicode).
I don't know what to do in this case?
My system is Windows 8.1 64bit.
Language is Polish, could it be bacause of that?

I am using adobe illustrator cs in windows vista and i get the following error when i try to delete, move or cut illustrator files:
'The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program'
It was working when i first started using it but now it just doesn't work at all.
All solutions will be highly appreciated.

It's not just a Vista thing. I frequently encounter the problem in both Windows XP and Vista with CS3 versions of Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat files.
I've heard no report yet as to whether this is fixed in CS4.

I, of course, choose yes and everything starts up with no problem. I close Illustrator and start it up again and I get the same error. I can use Illustrator with no problems, but this error comes up every single time I start Illustrator.

If this is happening on non admin accounts the below solution can fix the issue.
Resolution: Make the user an administrator and open the Illustrator then removed the administrator rights and if you launch the application again, it will use the registry created in admin mode and this will corrected the problem.

Illustrator 10 on Windows 8.1

How can I run Illustrator 10 on Windows 8.1?

I had 10 working on Windows 7:64 bit in an XP window. I had a drive crash and when I replaced it I loaded Windows 8.1
Now when I try to start Illustrator 10 the screen comes up where it is loading features the just disappears nor error msg or anything

I am automating copy and paste between two open files in Illustrator.I'm not using CreateFromFile since that strips variable names and otherwise alters the imported pageitems and makes them useless.
For some systems users get an error when the past command is used in the script.
Not much to it, after selected groups on the first document are selected a copy statement is used, the active document is changed, and a paste statement is used. It normally works but only on some combinations of selections on some computers. Adding a redraw() after the target document is activated avoids the error on some computers but not all.

I've run directly from the ExtendScript toolkit editor and tried adding extra redraws() (to allow adobe to catch up to the scripting) all to no avail.
Any ideas on what I can try?

Putting an "alert" statement after the copy stops the error. This happens on different pc's even windows 7 64 bit with better hardware. I also tried creating a separate scratch disk for Adobe which made no difference.
So, this avoids the error:

Is there a command that I can use in JavaScript with AI that will wait but won't stop all activity? I tried "redraw()" but that doesn't do the job.
This is extraordinarily annoying. There are lots of bugs in Adobe Illustrator CS4 with scripting that I've run into but Adobe never released a single patch to AI CS4. Not a one. If upgrading to CS5 was free that'd be one thing but with dozens of users upgrading will be a major expense.

Calling Illustrator from a Windows Service

Hello,
A project I'm working on has an internal document conversion process that uses Adobe Illustrator. The conversion script is in Javascript and uses the Illustrator SDK to go through the document and extract some information. We have a script that initiates this by calling Illustrator and instructing it to run the Javascript file. This whole process works well.
To make this easier for people to use, we have a program that runs on a server and watches a special directory. When a file is dropped into that directory, this program notices, runs the script, and saves the output in another folder. This process works well, too.
To ensure that this program stays running and starts immediately when the system boots, we would like to run it as a Windows Service. This is where we run into trouble. Our program runs fine as a service, except that when we call Illustrator, it just hangs without executing our script.
I don't see any output or error messages that would help us diagnose the problem.
I was wondering if anybody else had tried calling Illustrator from a Windows Service, and maybe had some suggestions for getting it working?

I'm afraid I don't know anything that might help you on this one. I wouldn't have thought Illustrator was doing anything that unusual that might cause running from a Service grief. The only two suggestions I can think of are ones you may already have tried:
1) check the event viewer -- there might be something there that doesn't show up in stderr or stdout
2) Try posting in the Scripting forum; it feels like they might be more likely to have tried something like this than people in here. This is typically for plugin development, thoug I don't blame you at all for posting here -- it certainly would have seemed worth a shot to me Anyways, the AI Scripting forum is in:

Itunes wont open - Error 7 (windows error 127)

When downloading the lastest version of itune my computer crashed and now itunes will not open. It says itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall. Error 7 (windows error 127). Reinstalling intunes has not fixed the problem. Please help!

iTunes no longer works on my Windows VISTA system. Get error msg saying an application is attempting to access C runtime library incorrectly... Error 7, Windows error 1114. Same msg, or one that says unable to install, when trying to update or reinstall iTunes. iTunes worked well up until about a month ago when this error msg starting appearing.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
