Illustrator File convert to PDF becomes Blurry

I have a fine resolution artwork in illustrator and when i convert to PDF it becomes more blurry on screen. Please advise, I want a PDF copy as smooth as the original AI was.
Also how do I apply the gradient color on Text?
Many Thanks

A gradient fill can be applied to live text via the appearance palette.
Live text can also be used as a clipping mask (e.g., on top of a gradient object).
If text editability is not important, the type can, of course, be converted to outlines then treated as any other compound path object.

  • When saving my illustrator file to a pdf it doesnt show all the artwork ie boxes are hidden in the pdf or only showing part of them. How can I fix this?

when saving my illustrator file to a pdf it doesnt show all the artwork ie boxes are hidden in the pdf or only showing part of them. Even some text is hidden. I have flattened the artwork so everything is in one layer. How can I fix this?

    Hi John
I have indicated on the attached jpeg where the problem is, basically a line of text is missing at the top and part of the feeding diagram is missing. I created the artwork in different layer and then flattened. All text has been converted to outlines, however the areas being affected have no transparency, I have used solid fills or no fills. I get the same result when I export the file as a jpeg. Hope you can help.

  • I was informed i need to purchase standard 11 or standard 12 (?) in order to make word files converted from pdf editable. how do i do this?

i was informed i need to purchase standard 11 or standard 12 from adobe in order to make files converted from pdf to word using the recently bought and installed adobe pdf exporter file. how/where do i do this?

Currently the Acrobat version is "XI" (no "12").
    With Acrobat XI installed:
"File - Save As Other"  --- from here you pick the supported file format for the export.
If a PDF has content that is the output of a scanner then that output (as is the case for All scanners' output) is a picture of text and not real text.
During an export all that can be processed is the picture. As a picture of text is not text it is understandable why Word (or other word processors) cannot edit the content.
So, for such, prior to export run Acrobat's OCR and save.
The export will be of the OCR content.
Do expect to do clean of the text, spelling, punctuation, layout etc.
This may be minor. This may be major. But, there will be some.
Adobe as some online subscription services that can take a "proper" PDF (NOT all are eh) and export to supported file formats.
Two are "ExportPDF" and "PDF Pack".
    Be well...

  • From PSD to Illustrator to PRINT READY PDF getting blurry

    Hello Experts,
I got a problem about converting my illustrator file to print ready pdf's. Basically i did my design in Illustrator but some of the graphic elements in my design are in PSD format, i just imported it to illustrator using place command and even embedded it to the main illustrator file, I got not problem with the resolution 'coz i set it to 300dpi CYMK. But the problem occurs when i print it to PDF because those images from psd file i imported are getting blurry, no matter how i set the settings to its maximum i still got those result over and over again. If anyone got a solution to this problem it might a good help to anyone not only me who is experiencing this problem.
    Thanks,
    erick

Thanks Mylenium, i finally figured it out now how to tweak those blurry stuff. First i tried to set the bicubic downsampling to its maximum pixels per inch and secondly i set the  bicubic downsampling off, both settings just works fine. Thanks again. This is a great help.

  • Illustrator file into customizable PDF

I have created a "bid form" in Illustrator 6 for a client. They want to be able to pull it up in acrobat, fill in the fields according to the client, job, customizations, etc. They want general blocks of info to remain on each form (which is part of the form I've designed in Illustrator) How do I import the ai file for .pdf usage in acrobat?

When you save the .ai file as a .pdf file it will contain no form fields.  In Acrobat Pro XI you will launch the application.  In the splash screen (or welcome screen) you will click on the Create Form button.  In the Create Form dialog select From Existing Document and click the Next> button.  In the next dialog you use Choose Another File and then use the Browse button to navigate and select the .pdf you created in Illustrator.  The .pdf file will open in Form editing mode.  The tools for adding fields will appear on the right.
This will work for Acrobat Pro X as well, but the names of the buttons may differ slightly.

  • White Lines Across Powerpoint files converted to PDF

I have a number of PDF files that were created from Microsoft Powerpoint presentations on a Windows PC. The Preview inspector says they were created with Acrobat Distiller 8.2.2. Until recently, these PDFs looked 100% correct when viewed in Preview or Safari. Now, though, they have horizontal white lines across the pages. There are 6 white lines on each page, evenly spaced, each about 1 pixel in height. They stay at 1 pixel in height even when I zoom in/out on the document. At some zoom levels (100% being one of them), the area above and below some lines will become misaligned. When viewed with Adobe Reader 9, the lines are not there but the misalignment is (though it is not exactly the same as in Preview). Unfortunately, I can't say when this started happening other than it was fine in September (2010) and isn't this afternoon (Nov 22, 2010). It happens on a coworker's Macbook Pro as well as my iMac so it is not something unique to my Mac.
Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas as to how to fix it?

Hi, I am having this problem also on my iMac. Some of the images have the lines and some of them don't. When the PDFs are printed, the lines don't show. My problem is that these PDFs will be linked to on a website for the clients to print, and they will seem them with the lines. They are pretty unsightly, and my boss has put this into my lap to figure out, since I am the designer. Did you ever find an answer for this? I don't know where else to turn, since this company is insisting on using Pages, rather than something like InDesign.

  • Why can I not download a file converted from pdf to word

I cannot download a document converted to word from a pdf. the error message says the internet site is not available. seems odd, given that I am looking at the converted document. Any idea whats wrong?

    Hi roger.edi,
Are you still having trouble downloading that convert file? If so, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/files.
If you're still unable to download the file, please try from a different web browser.
Let us know how it goes!

  • Hyperlinks to external word files convert to pdf

    Hello!
I have many Word documents (version 2007), which are linked among themselves through hyperlinks.
Now, I want to convert these documents in pdf files (Adobe Acrobat Prof. 7.0).
The problem of the pdf files are the hyperlinks: They still link to the word documents and not to the pdf files.
Now, my answer is: which is the best (and fast!!!) way to solve this problem?
    Thanks for any answer!
    Janina

Hopefully someone will chime in with a link to a script or plugin for you. ;-)  I don't know of any way to do mass edits of links in Acrobat. You might try asking around the Word support forums for some sort of VBscript that can include underlying hyperlink destinations in Find/Change or something. I wouldn't be surprised if one exists already.
Maybe this free doo-dad could help, couldn't tell from the web page:
    http://www.ablebits.com/word-hyperlink-manager-addins/index.php
Otherwise, the fastest way I know of to do this manually in Word is to:
    1) Save the Word file as a web page
    2) Open the .htm file in a text editor
    3) Use that editors' Find/Change to change all refs to .doc with .pdf
    4) Open the edited .htm's in Word and save as a .doc
There are many text editors that can do batch find/changes on hundreds of files at a time; so all you'd need would be to figure out an automated way to do the .doc > .htm conversions en masse, and back again.

  • Trouble with png files converting to pdf

Why are my files getting all distorted when I convert a png file to pdf?

    best of luck, david r.
    Hi Donald and David,
Thanks to you both for the ideas. Peter at SONiVOX technical support has been trying to help solve this also. He just sent me an email with an idea that solved the issue!
He suggested I change the length of the SF2 file names to abbreviated names - as the ones included were long (see above in OP).
These samples sound great in the EXS ... really very nice - and dry enough to be very usable in a variety of scenarios I am thinking. I will try their horns next.
And Sonivox technical support is great if anyone is thinking about trying them out. Fast and approachable. They go above and beyond the support we are used to with some third party companies.
    Again thanks for this.
    Cheers
    Dee
