Illustrator/Indesign is not syncing my Typekit fonts anymore

Any one else experiencing a similar issue.
When I open my Creative Cloud desktop App there is nothing in the Home tab or Fonts Tab...
Deleted and replaced Creative Cloud app, deleted contents of OOBE and still Nothing
Miffed!

Treo 755 will not sync with my computer anymore

I have a Treo 755 (Palm os) and it will not sync with my computer anymore. I have a PC with Win XP pro SP3. The last time it sync'ed was about two months ago, I had to fiddle with the connection before it would work. Now when I plug the phone in and push the button, the computer chimes but that is all that it will do. After it times out the phone gives an error message. I am thinking that maybe it is the cable or phones contacts that are bad. (It has always been hard to unplug the cable from the phone). I have also tried reinstalling the software with no luck. How can I check the connections, is there another way to sync with my computer?

It said that the connection between my handheld and desk top could not be established. After I posted yesterday I looked though the web site and found were is said to blow out any dust from the terminals on the handheld so I did and it worked. This morning I tried it again and it will not connect. It must be one of the connections either on the handheld or on the cable. Is there a way of testing either? The computer is recognizing the handheld but it just will not communicate.

Are you syncing over WiFi or over the USB cable? Try doing the opposite.
Also try a different USB port on the iMac.

could you give us a bit more detail on the situation, Eeve?
is it that the songs say that they're transferring, and appear on the ipod screen in itunes, but when you unplug the ipod they aren't on there? or is something a bit different going on?
(if you're getting an error message, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

Indesign workspaces not syncing

I have updated Indesign and the 'sync settings' option appears, but as far as I can see, after syncing my work computer (which has the preferences I want) then syncing on my laptop, they both remain as is.
Am i doing something wrong?

Hello, I also had issues trying to get my workspaces to match up between desktop and laptop after repeated restarts, sign on/offs, and reinstallations. Here are a few things that may be entirely obvious to everyone else, but ended up solving my problem one way or another:
On my desktop, there was a CS6 installed. I moved all the folders somewhere else, i.e., out of the Adobe folder in Program Files, and the sync was able to work.
The workspaces I had created before this move did NOT sync, but the new ones I created since did.
I'm assuming something within one of these folders was interfering, but I didn't bother to try and track it down.
Make sure, after the sync, you select the workspace/menu from the dropdowns. For example, I didn't think my keyboard shortcuts made it; I had to manually select my shortcuts file from the dropdown within the keyboard shortcuts box (they didn't load automatically, which makes sense).Also note that the workspace tools/panels may be synced, but the color scheme will not. I have a custom % darkness that was not carried to the other device.
When sync was eventually working, there was an active "Apply Now" button I had to click to apply changes when something changed. To me, it appears that if one just syncs for the heck of it, there isn't this option to apply changes since nothing has changed. Thus, if this option never appears, then things are likely still not working properly.
I should also note that as of this posting, my CC and InDesign app were both up to date (version 1.9.0.465).

Illustrator CS2 Suddenly not Recognizing Arial Narrow Fonts

I created a graphic earlier today that used Arial Narrow Bold Italic. Later on today I had to update the graphic with new information and now it is telling me I don't have the font installed. The Arial Narrow fonts are in the fonts folder and are recognized by all other CS apps, Office apps, etc. I have replaced the fonts countless times since getting this message, restarted my computer, all to no avail. I eventually had to go to another computer to do the update. I even tried copying the fonts from that computer to mine and I still get the same error in Illustrator.
I don't know what the heck happened. I didn't install any new fonts between the time I made the graphic and the time I tried to update it. Do I need to re-install Illustrator? I need to know ASAP, as I will be updating this graphic tomorrow and of course would still like to use Arial Narrow in Illustrator.

I had the same problem when I upgraded to CS3. Haven't explored the reasoning behind it but did try resetting (deleting) several PREF files, reinstalling the font, but nothing changed. I did find the following: Select ARIAL font and under FONT STYLE select the NARROW option. This will be give you the equivalent of NARROW REGULAR but there are no direct style options for italic, bold, or bold italic. Since I don't use the font that much, my only work around was to apply a stroke of .15-.25pt to the text for bold and a 20° shear for italic.
If anybody's got a answer to why ARIAL NARROW got wrapped as a font style of ARIAL and not just a font, such ARIAL BLACK, etc., it would be greatly appreciated.

Illustrator CC will not Sync Settings

Just added AI CC to my home machine, changed my prefs, etc. and then synced them to the cloud.
Then I installed AI CC on my work machine, and the Sync button isn't even an option. It's grayed out.
Is one supposed to be "signed in" somehow when using CC?

Regardless, I don't think the Sync feature is even available yet for CC, I think it was delayed and pending?

Help: iphone 4 does not sync with Outlook 2007 ANYMORE

It used to, but not anymore :-(
I have an iphone 4 and work with Microsoft Outlook 2007. In the beginning all worked perfect and I could sync my calendar from outlook with my iphone. Then one day it stopped working and I don't know why or what has happened. I tried a lot, i.e
- I ticked 'sync all calendars' - NO LUCK
- I ticked 'sync selected calendars' - No LUCK
- in the tab "Info" under Advanced I ticked "Replace information on this iphone...." for during this one sync only iTunes would replace the calendar on my iphone with the calendar on my computer - NO LUCK.
- I restored my iphone completely, and after that was all done, I still and again had the 'wrong' calendar on my iphone
But no matter what I do, I have a different calendar on my iphone than on my computer and have to enter all my appointments now twice, once in the computer and then in the iphone.
All the other sync works perfectly fine, contacts, notes, podcasts, music everything but not calendar.
Any ideas??? Thanks for your time.

BB not syncing with Outlook XP Anymore

I am running BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1.0.32 and my BB is at Software version v4.5.0.174. I believe I recently updated the BlackBerry syncing software and now I am getting errors when I try to sync. Some errors say I don't have permission to a folder and some errors are just general sync errors. My Calendar seems to be syncing OK but not my contacts or my memo pad. Thanks.

Can you please provide the full error messages you are receiving? Have you already tried uninstalling the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and reinstalling it? Please make sure you are installing it in a Windows® user account with administrative privileges.

Can I not sync Calendar via USB anymore?

I just noticed that my iPad no longer syncs with the Calendar on my laptop. I did a search in the Help menu (which actually worked this time) and it said that you have to sync Calendars in Maverick with iCloud. What??? I don't use iCloud, and don't intend to.
Is this true? Hooking up the iPad to the computer no longer syncs data through the cable??

Ok so here is what i have to work with, an action tech modem with a usb port, and a airport express connected to it via that usb port. the problem is in the airport express itself. Its not configured yet! How can i configure the AE via usb because this pc running vista doesn't have wifi? Can it be done via usb?
The AirPort Express Base Station (AX) must be connected to a DSL/Cable modem via Ethernet to function as a wireless router; the AX's USB port is only for connecting to a USB printer.
It sounds like you are attempting to use the AX as a substitute wireless card for the PC by connecting it to the PC's USB port. Sorry, but that will not work.

My iphoto is not syncing all my photos anymore...

Facebook app is not syncing contacts/bday calendar anymore..

Yesterday I've noticed that my sisters birthday is gone from my calendar.
Half of birthdays were taken from facebook contacts, so i've tried to resync it. After resync I was left with 2 facebook contacts, all other entries from facebook were gone.
I've tried resync again for several times, tried to re-install facebook app, no luck..
How to full-sync all facebook contacts to my iphone again?

Why are the TypeKit fonts I am syncing not showing up for use in Illustrator?

I am beyond frustrated right now. But that's neither here nor there for anyone reading this so I will get to the point.
I have synced the TypeKit font, Tablet Gothic Wide to my Mac, but it simply won't show up as a font choice in Illustrator. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sam,
I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. I've confirmed that the font selections are added to your account correctly.
In case you weren't aware, the Creative Cloud application needs to be running on your computer in order for the fonts to be synced. If you don't have that installed, you can download it for free from https://creative.adobe.com/products
Once you have Creative Cloud running:
- Are the fonts showing up in the Fonts tab of Creative Cloud?
- If you haven't done so already, would you please try turning off font sync in the Creative Cloud application, wait a moment, and then turn it back on? The option to do this is under the gear icon in Preferences > Fonts ("sync on/off"). Sometimes the app just needs a fresh session for the fonts to appear again.
If that doesn't make a difference, please send your recent sync log files to Typekit Support at [email protected] so that we can look into it further.

* Open the Finder
* under the Go menu, select "Go To Folder"
* in the window that opens, type: /Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/
Remember to replace "(username)" with your own account name.
(Or if you are comfortable working from the Terminal, cd to $HOME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/)
Attach the 3 or 4 most recent CoreSync-yyyy-MM-dd.log files to an email. Please don't send a zip file, as they often get flagged as spam.

Illustrator CC - Where are the Typekit fonts?

One of the things I anticipated most about upgrading from Illustrator CS6 to Illustrator CC was access to the Typekit font library. The Creative Cloud application manager merely has a "coming soon" banner under the "Fonts" menu. I don't see anything in Illustrator CC related to Typekit.
Does anyone know when the print oriented applications in CC are going to be able to use Typekit? Another thing I found disappointing in the fine print: only a partial group of Typekit fonts will be made available to applications like Illustrator CC and InDesign CC. Far more fonts are available to the web based applications. I figured I'd be able to use certain popular typefaces like Brandon Grotesk in Illustrator CC via Typekit. Now it looks like that might not be happening, at least not for now.

As you've mentioned, we've announced the upcoming ability to sync Typekit fonts to your desktop. Unfortunatley, we don't have a specific ETA on this feature at the moment. However, we'll be sharing any updates on our blog: http://blog.typekit.com as they become available.
We're starting with 175 font families from 7 top-tier foundries. You’ll be able to sync them to your desktop and use them in all your applications for web mockups, print design, word processing, and more.
