Illustrator is chopping off a part of my image when exporting

Okay so I have an image I created on a canvas that is larger than the image. When I export the image as a png, I get the image without any of the white space there was surrounding in illustrator and a very small part of the image is actually chopped off ... Is there anyway I can get illustrator to export the entire canvas or at least not chop off a part of the image if it is going to auto-crop?

Add a rectangle the size of your artboard, or at least larger than the rest of the artwork, fill it with white but no stroke and send it behind the rest of the artwork. Save and export. The result should be the size of the white background.
Not a good solution if you want the background transparent. In that case, put a stroke around the rectangle but no fill. Then, upon export, open it in Photoshop and crop out the stroke around the outside. If you are using some other program to manipulate it, you should be able to crop out the stroke there as well.

Part of logo missing when exporting to PDF

I'm running ID CS6 and Acrobat Pro X.
When I export a document as a PRINT or INTERACTIVE pdf, part of my logo goes missing. The funny thing is that our design team are all running the same programs and 3 of our members can view the logo completely, the other 4 see half of the logo missing, I can see the logo just fine.
• The logo mark is visible, but the typography that is part of the logo is missing?! And it's a single grouped object in Illustrator.
• We've compared the settings on our teams' programs and on my ID program as well, and nothing seems be remotely related to the issue.
• Finder on Mac shows mixed visibility in file preview on different computers. Some show, some don't.
• In the past, I've been able to place vector objects from Illustrator into Indesign completely fine. I prefer vector over image because it allows me scaling flexibility.
• I have not changed any settings on my program between the time I was able and not able to do this. I don't understand why different people are getting different results on their screens. And in a couple of occasions, it has happened to one of our team members and it fixed itself mysteriously.
I would like to provide screen shots, but it is a private design.
One key note to realize is that the logo is completely outlined and grouped as a single object. I then save the logo into the same folder as the ID file (tried both, .EPS and .AI) and placed it (CMD+D) into InDesign. Both files are CMYK files.
I then make my PDF by hitting (CMD+E) to export, choose PDF Print. On the PDF settings, I choose [High Quality Print], compatible with Acrobat 5 and beyond, uncheck optimize for web, include bleeds, no color conversion.
I've had issues in the past where hidden layers in an .AI are still visible in the PDF. The .AI is imported into InDesign then exported as PDF... The hidden layers from the .AI preview in Finder, but then vanish when opening the PDF...so buggy.
Make any sense?!...

Similar to Mikey's response… If the logo has a spot color in it and it overlaps any raster image (or vice versa), then the overlapping part will appear white if "Overprint Preview" is turned off in Acrobat. This is really a bug. One possible fix is to export the PDF as an PDF/X-4:2010 in the "Standard" drop down—this preserves all transparency layering without flattening.
This issue causes frequent headaches and confusion in my workplace, especially since a lot of people want/need to hold on to the PDF/X-1a standard, which flattens the artwork.

IMovie 08 cutting off the end of my video when exporting

First off, I'm running 10.5.3, iMovie 7.1.2, iDVD 7.0.2 on a MB Pro. I have a 256mg nVidia video card, 4gigs of RAM and about 55Gigs of space left on my hard drive. The movie is about 5-9gigs in size-I made sure everything was updated before I started. I created a 45 min movie in iMovie and exported it via-"export using QuickTime." Under "options->settings" I chose Apple Intermediate Codec (frame rate current, compressor-other) with the default settings for AIC. It takes about 35 minutes to process. I import the movie into iDVD via drag-and-drop where I want the movie to go in the menu. All the menu links, music and buttons work. I test the movie and its flawless up until the very end where I have the credits. It plays all the credits except the second to last one. The one that failing is a scrolling credit that lasts the maximum 60 seconds and the last credit/frame of the video is a non-scrolling screen that lasts for 6 seconds. This 6 second credit/final frame is fine. The whole movie is exactly 45:56sec. What happens is that the movie will play through all the credits and once it gets to flawed one, instead of scrolling words it scrolls a solid white block up the screen where all the words should be. I've tried the whole share/import to iDVD twice and actually let it burn to a disc once. Same problems. I have tried exporting to the media browser as well, same problem. The video has the issue once it's exported (so the problem is not in iDVD 08). ANY tips or ideas would be welcome. Sorry if there is a ton of useless info, not sure what's relevant and what isn't. Can't find anything specific to my issue in other posts.

Ditto white screen problem.
I am using iMovie 08 for a 23 minute photo-music slideshow for more control over placement and my music.
The final scrolling credits are 60 seconds long over a photo that is 59 seconds long. I have a wipe right and a new photo and the credits/music end. Everything plays well in imovie, but on the DVD i burn with iDVD, there is a white screen where the credits should be.
Applecare suggested changing to another photo. I did. No change, another DVD coaster. Applecare suggested changing the jpg photo to tiff. I did, no change, another DVD coaster.
I exported again in Media Browser, different name, but got the same white screen.
The 5 other titles in the project are fine in iDVD. When I play it on my TV, it looks fantastic, except for that last white screen and no credits.
Any suggestions?

Hold down the command key as you drag the image.

Saving Illustrator file as PDF/ chops off top and bottom help pls

I have some business brochures that I created in Adobe Illustrator
I am tying to save one as a PDF however when I do the save it chops off the top and bottom of the page

Part of the letter W chopping off ! - need help

I wonder if anyone can help. I sometimes get part of the
letter W chopped off when it is an uppercase W and the first
character in a line of text. Havent had this problem for many
years. This only happens in IE (6&7)
There is a solution around it of course which is to add a
couple of pixel of padding to the text or the div but i was
wondering why it happens and if there is another fix for it so i
dont have to alter all of my padding setting throughout the site
which will mean i'll have to tweak all my grids etc.
Havent had the problem for a while now but this has raised
its head again and cant find much about it when i google for the
problem which means i would have thought its not that commen,
leading me to think its something else im doing??
Any help would be greatfully appreciated. To see it in action

Photomerge panorama in PSE 12 chops off part of final image?

I've tried several times to stich together 4 images in Photomerge panorama using PSE 12. Every time the right edge of 4th image (the right-most) is chopped off (I'd guess about 25% of the image is lost). I've tried the "Auto" and "Perspective" settings. The "Cylindrical" setting turns the panorama to garbage, with one image at the top and the other three at the bottom of the final composition.
I was able to stitch together the same four images in PSE 9 without any problem.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get Photomerge to include all of the 4th image in the panorama?

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running?

Where is the audio in the project - numbered audio tracks, Narration Track, and/or Soundtrack? Any chance that you are using a XviD.avi file?
- audio is either in the soundtrack , or in audio 2 when part of a video
Besides the full properties of your source file including file extension, what are the full export settings that you are using presumably for Publish+Share/Computer/MPEG?
- i was just using the default for MPEG, which is the NTSC DVD standard, file type MPEG2-DVD
What player are you using? Does the file playback video and audio using the VLC player? Does the problem exist in a new project?
- i have tried in quicktime and VLC, both have the same effect (picture works, staccato background noise). I have not tried in another file, but will do so now.

Trimming end of clip causes some of frame to be chopped off

Ok, I'm new to Premiere Pro (have been using it for the last week as part of my job) but have so far managed to pick up the basics. In the last sequence I edited, I have had a problem with trimming. I have tried trimming the end of the clip (which is at the end of the sequence) and it ends up with a small part of the frame chopped off the side. I've been searching online and can't find anything like this. Any suggestions on what might be causing this? I bet it is probably me being stupid/a newbie, but for the life of me, I can't work out whats up with it...
I'm trying my hardest to pick this up on my own, but I've spent a day fighting with this now, and there is no one at work who can help (I'm resident techy on my project...)

Text wrap issue:ShowDetaillItem chop-off in the PanelAccordion.

Issue: Text wrap issue in ShowDetailItem header. Tittle of the S+howDetaillItem+ chop-off does not display completely in the PanelAccordion.
I have a few texts that does not wrap in ShowDetailItem Header used for the panel accordion. I could not fix it after trying a few options like changing the css skin, and in the design property inspector.
Please suggest a way to fix this.
Oracle Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 is the version.

I want the text to wrap and display in the second line as it has more no. of letters compared to the other texts available.

How can I get TV shows viewed through Hulu Plus on the Apple TV 3 to show as widescreen with black bands above and below the screen shot instead of chopping off the sides on my non-widescreen TV?

I just bought a new Apple TV 3 today so I can watch shows from Hulu Plus without having to physically plug in separate audio and video cables from my Macbook Air to the TV every time. I have a non-widescreen TV and when I normally watch Hulu Plus on the TV (though Safari on my plugged in Macbook Air as mentioned above), the entire wide screen shot is shown with black bands above and below the sceen shot since I am watching a widescreen program on a non-widescreen TV.
However, I noticed that when I watch the same show through Hulu Plus on my new Apple TV 3, the left and right edges of the shot are chopped off to make the program fill my non-widescreen TV. This bothers me because I would like to see the full shot and not just the chopped off middle portion. This is a real bummber because watching Hulu Plus without having to plug in my laptop is the only reason I bought the Apple TV. Is there anything I can do about this?

How are you actually connected to the TV? Does it have HDMI? Most non-widescreen TVs would not.
I would suspect a converter is either not outputting properly, your TV not interpreting the signal properly or you have some form of Zoom setting enabled on the TV.
How does your TV handle widescreen from say cable or terrestrial TV sources ?
Unfortunately AppleTV is not designed to be used with non-widescreen TVs so there's no setting on AppleTV to tweak.

Calendar list view (not just birthdays) off by part of a day

The list view of the calendar on the iPhone 4 is showing events on the wrong days... Not just birthdays, not just the Exchange calendar I'm syncing, but also not all events. And it's only off by part of a day. The calendar on 10.6 displays all of them correctly, and the day view of the iOS 4 calendar is correct.
Here's an example:
