Illustrator not printing images - Only printing as white fill.

So I've had this issue a few times and to get around it I normally just flatten the entire image in Photoshop.
I'd like to truely solve my issue though now as it seems to come up frequently now that a certain client has been supplying me with their artwork.
The file they send has pantones colours in it, which I than convert to cmyk including the entire document.
They've got a few images of drinks in cliping masks. When I go to print the document the entire image comes out as a white fill as though it wasn't included in the printing process, just its path.
The images are embeded and not vectorized. They are resolution photos of a drink.
Any solutions?

Safari 8.0 not loading images (only on Amazon)

I have tried clearing cache and force quitting and restarting with shift but nothing seems to work. And the weird thing is it is not all images on amazon, just images of products, such as within search mode or wishlist.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Photoshop file imported to illustrator not printing right

I have imported photoshop psd file into Illustractor and there clear background are tinting background in document when printing. Is there a solution

CS4 InDesign (and Illustrator) not printing in Lion OS environment

I have had no trouble installing CS4 in a Lion environment on my Mac. However, while I can open and edit files, I cannot print anything. Nor can I edit or change the print presents or anything at all related to printing. InDesign (and Illustrator) just drop out. Bang. Just like that. No error reporting at all. Photoshop, however, prints just fine. I get crash report dialog boxes for both Adobe and Apple but have so far had no answers. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN
BTW I have called Adobe several times, waited literallly for hours, and once paid for support but the line dropped out. Next call, another wait of between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours, and the call dropped out again. I am so cross.

Unfortunately, this is a user to user forum, and rarely does anyone from Adobe cross path here with the users, nor do the customer care staff. Sorry you had issues with them though, I personally have never dealt with them.
Considering both programs are acting "wonky", perhaps you could try to install your printer again. Or perhaps get an updated Driver for the printer?
I'm not a Mac user. But when I was, peripherals on my Mac went wonky with new installs of software regularly. It was always worth unplugging the peripheral, restarting the computer and see if the issue persists.
I'd try rebooting the the computer without the printer plugged in. Then once booted, install the printer again. And see if it helps.

Yahoo.ca homepage will not show images, only red blocks, Firefox 4

I had to reformat my hard drive because of a bad virus, and everything worked properly before that. The OS is Windows XP Pro SP3, fully updated. I updated to Firefox 4. My sympatico.ca home page is working great, but when I go to the yahoo.ca home page, there are red blocks instead of images. I dumped 4, went back 3.6 and it worked for a few days, then went back to red images. Subsequent gradual updates to 4, haven't resolved the problem. I've gone through everything I can find, in help and troubleshooting, checked page info, options, uninstalling and re-installing Firefox, with the same result. Installed the latest versions of Flash Player and Shock Wave. I'm at my wits end, and can't figure out what I'm missing. The same problem exists if I use Internet Explorer 8, which I really don't like to use. I haven't used Netscape for many years.
This is totally frustrating, and I really need some wise help.
Can anyone please, give me some answers and genuine direction to fix this issue.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I didn't see any solution to my issue. I did detail in my original question post what my OS is, and all other info about my system. I have changed nothing that was on my PC before this issue happened. I have the same PC security package, antivirus software etc, provided by Bell Canada, that I have used successfully for years, and didn't have this issue previous to having to reformat the hard drive. I did go into the ad blocker program, but the only thing I can do is change the color of the blocked image.
I've been building my own PC's for about twenty years, and normally can fix most issues that arise. I've also been using Yahoo mail for a long time, and was always able to see the images, except for the last couple of weeks since the reformat. I can live with not seeing the images, but it's frustrating not to be able to resolve the issue.
If you can help great, and if you need any other info, please let me know.

JScrollPane not scrolling, image only flickering

Hi, guys:
I have this problem that I used JAI to render an image on a JPanel and then put the JPanel into a JScrollPane. The strangest thing is that when I scroll, the scrollbar is moving but the image just flicker a little, for like 0.1 second it scrolls but quickly back to the original position. I feel that it has something to do with the paintComponent but I can't see what should be done. I will be very thankful if any of you can give me some suggestions!

I solved the problem by add the JComponent which renders the image to an additional JPanel, and then set the JPanel to opaque by setOpaque(true), and then add the JPanel to the viewport of the JScrollPane.

I ran all the diagnostic tests including cleaning the cartridges, cartridge alignment, shut off the printer unplugged it, restarted, shut down computer retarted. All the other colors work except for the black cartridge. I checked the vent on cartridge and it is they way it should be. How can I print with Black Ink? very upset!!!! Have got to get something printed ASAP

I've got the same with a new black ink cartridge. The display keeps alerting that you have to renew the ink. Tha's oke but the printer does not print black/White.
Do i have to replace the collor ink also at the same time?
Does it mean that if you replace black and not the color that it's NOT possible to print b/w?

Mail 7.3 (1878.6) not displaying images in random messages.

In the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that, with no preference changes made by me, that random messages are not displaying images only empty boxes with the small blue question-mark box in the middle. This is almost exclusively from companies and organizations that I'm interested in.
I've made no changes with regard to messages downloading with my mail in Mail's preferences. If I had, I'd think that ALL such messages would behave the same.

Nothing happens. Loading remote content is a Mail preference for me for everything. Best I can do is choose to click the "if your having trouble seeing this..." offered by many advertisers to take you to their site.
Since it's random, I wonder if it's not something that has to do with those specific servers sending those messages. And it's only a few, but enough to be annoying. These are people I've received perfect content from for years in some cases. No changes have been made to my preferences.

Creating gradient mesh object, object turns into a gradient mesh object w/ white fill automatically.
I would like this to be a stroke object as I cannot see the picture that I am trying to recreate.
Illustrator is not allowing me to change the white fill into a stroke after I create the gradient mesh object.
Here is the image when I try to create the gradient mesh object, I do not have the white fill option chosen and the image still
becomes a white fill gradient mesh object.
Please can anyone help??

Sure. A gradient mesh won't have strokes. It will always have fills. If you want no fill, you need to set the opacity of a single mesh point to 0%. But you actually don't want to do that for the complete grid, because it will be very time consuming to adjust this back to 100 percent for every single meshpoint when coloring them.
Instead the usual setup is with the two layers. This allows you to see the gridlines and the template. Then you first adjust the grid (color doesn't matter for this). Then you pick up the colors from the template to color the single mesh points. From time to time you switch into preview to admire your work.

I only print black and recently the magenta cartridge started making sounds as a defective cartridge. Since I only have black cartridges on hand so I replaced it with a black one, but it says that the magenta is in the wrong spot. The overide out is on and I don't know how to override this error. Help please.

Hi , I read your post and see that the magenta cartridge started making sounds as a defective cartridge, you replaced it with the black cartridge and it was rejected. You are using over ride and still can't print. I would like to help you.
You have to replace the cartridges for the marked cartridges in the printer.Over ride will allow you to continue printing until one of the toners are completely empty & then will have to be replaced to continue printing. Basically this setting is for you to finish the print job. You will have to replace the magenta cartridge in order to resume printing. Illustrator file not printing correctly

How do I set my Illustrator file to print clearly?
I am designing a simple label (3.75 x 1.25 inches, black and white) that is mostly text based. I tried printing directly from Illustrator and also as a converted PDF (high quality) and the results are the same - slightly blurry and fuzzy text.
The printing problem seems to only happen when I try to print Illustrator files and PDFs converted from Illustrator. (Printing with a laser printer.)

With some adjusting the artwork actually prints ok, not great, but not as bad as the text, which I created outlines but still fuzzy.
After doing more research, I don't think my laser printer (Brother 2270DW) is postscript and I can't find a driver for that specific model and for a mac.
I've tried printing eps, opening pdf via preview (which some suggested), print as image, uncheck bitmap, use PCL setting on the printer... nothing seems to work. I guess new printer? Or is there another roundabout way?

On the printer driver documentation, Page 5, in the Imaging setting, although the options are not specifically shown, there should be an option on that screen of the print driver to click and select "B/W" or 'black and white' or 'grayscale' or 'monochrome' as Print Mode rather than the "Full Color" option shown in the illustration below.
You access these settings once you have selected 'Print' from an app.
If necessary, you might need to click on the 'Down arrow' button next to the printer name (OS X 10.6), or 'Show Details' button at the bottom of the print dialog box (OS X 10.8) to see additional settings.

Illustrator CS3 printing to pdf as grayscale only

I'm pulling my hair out over this one. I'm simply trying to print from Illustrator CS3 to Acrobat 8. It will print colour designs fine, as long as they contain no images. But if I try to print a design with a psd in it, or load a psd into illustrator to print, the whole thing comes out in black and white.
I've just upgraded to Windows 7 64bit but have switched to XP compatability mode for Illustrator, still no luck. I'm not sure Win7 is the issue though as I've had this problem before, in 32bit XP, but can't remember how I resolved it. All the updates are installed.

Ok the Output pane of the print dialogue pointed me in the right direction. I'd got it working for straight psds with yet another go at updating; but in additions, somehow a Pantone colour was the print output mix in addition to the other 4. I've loaded some completely different client work and it now works fine, so I just need to purge that Pantone and it should all be good.
