Illustrator opens but I can't do anything.
Since the yosemite upgrade, my Ai Cs6 is acting strange.
AI opens but I don't see the normal loading screen.
And when it is open I can't do anything but forcing it to shut down.
I tried booting my macbookpro (mid 2010) in safe mode and in this mode I was able to work with Ai again.
Please I could use some help identifying the problem working in safe mode is not pleasant.

Are you running Suitcase or any other plugins? You might need to update them.

DSP3 opens but I can't access anything
I've recently updated my OS to Tiger, as well as install Motion 2 and Soundtrack Pro. Since then I have had all sorts of problems. I can open DSP 3, but not any projects. I can see the interface, but I can't access anything, it's like the program froze. My toolbar at the top of the interface is also not present. I've tried reinstalling every program (FCP, DSP, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, and Compressor) but I am still having the same issues. I can also not get compressor to even open. I just bounces once on the dock and the tower sounds like it starts to do something but then it just sits there. The export to compressor command is also greyed out in FCP. Soundtrack Pro and Motion also seem to be acting quirky when I open them, but I haven't really used them yet, so it could be normal. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
AndyThanks for the suggestion. It did help. Why didn't that download when I would do the software update? Everything seems to be working now except for Compressor. It still just bounces once and then sits there. It is still greyed out in FCP as an export option. I guess I should take this question to the compressor discussion page, but if you have any other ideas I would gladly accept them. Thanks for your help so far. I am at least another step closer to having a working system again.

When i click on my mozilla icon on desktop it opens but i can't see anything, it just a white screen
firefox was working fine and when i went to sign back in all i got was a write screen that says Mozilla firefox at the very top but I have no tool bar and i can't do anything but close out of that window. can you help me with this problem?
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
My iPod touch 4th gen. Keeps giving me the error message "cannot connect to the app store when I sign in. I can open the app store and browse it but I can't download anything. I have full signal strength with my wi-fi and safari is working perfect. I turned it off and restarted it 3 times now. I have an iPad 2 and the app store works flawlessly with it. What is going on?
Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

Firefox will no longer open completely. My home page appears, but I can't do anything with it--can't use "Help," can't search the Web, can't even use "Sign Out." I have to close it entirely to get out of it. A box comes up and says "Yahoo Mail is loading especially slowly" and tells me my computer speed is slow. But this is the same computer I've always used for Firefox, and Yahoo comes up quickly and completey through Internet Explorer (which is how I'm sending this message). Can anyone help me load Firefox so that it works? I even downloaded the latest version of Firefox, but it makes no difference. Thanks.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.
You can also try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.

I just opened up my MacBook Pro after a few days of not using it and it was frozen. I turned it off and back on and all I see is a white screen, there was a file with a question mark flashing for a bit but I can't do anything, please help me!!

you have a 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. It’s modern enough that it supports booting into Recovery mode. To do so, hold down a Command key and the R key as you start up. It should eventually show a Mac OS X Utilities menu. Select Disk Utility from that menu; when the Disk Utility window appears, select the bootable volume from the left-hand side of the window. (It’s typically called “Macintosh HD”.) When the volume is selected, some buttons will appear on the right-hand side. If it’s not greyed out, press the Verify Disk button; if it is greyed out, or if it reports on errors that it found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu; that will restart your MacBook Pro in its normal mode. With luck, that will be enough to get you to your normal login screen, rather than the white screen. -
Sometimes when I quit Firefox, it makes my Mac screen display solid blue color. The computer does not crash, but I can't see anything. Opening programs, nor hitting any shortkey makes the display work again, so I have to shut down.
I am using Macbook pro, OS 10.6.8, 4 GB memory, 2 ghz intel processors i7. This has happened about 6 times in the last 3 months. Seems to be getting more frequent. Sometimes happens after using Netflix streaming video, sometimes after browsing sites that don't play video. I frequently use Pandora, but have Firefox set to dump cache, memory, etc. after each use.Have you tried a safe start by holding the shift key when you boot? If that works, and it can take a while to complete, see if a regular boot now works. If it does, you need to free up space on your hard drive.
If a safe boot doesn't work, you need to either boot from an OS X DVD or go into target disk mode to connect via firewire cable to another mac to free up space on your hard drive. You need 5GB min, with 10% to 15%, or more, better, for systems usage. If you have a backup, move some data files to it, erase them and empty the trash. -
Soundblaster recognized, but I can't hear anyth
I bought an old PS/ IBM PC 300 GL type 656 with Windows 95. The soundblaster is being recognized, but I can't hear anything. I've checked everything on the software side. All mutes are off, it all seems to be working, but no sound. Where am I making my mistake?

When Itunes is active, he recognizes my Iphone4 when I connect via USB (the icon appears). Itunes automatically starts when I connect my Iphone4.
But I can't do anything else than EXIT! Other functions and struments are no availables.
I removed and reinstalled Itunes several times but everything has remained unchanged

I have an iMac running OX 10.5.8
I need a portable external hard drive to back it up before updating the software to Yosemite but I can't find anything that doesn't require you to be running at least OX 10.6. Is there a suitable hard drive? When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

I want to transfer an audiobook and a movie from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone 4S, and can't figure out how. I went to "Help" and it said after connecting the two devices I should "Click Apps," but I can't find anything labeled "Apps" to click. Help?!!
If you have iTunes 11 on your Mac then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S, that might make it easier to navigate.
Connect the phone to your Mac and select it on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of the screen there should be a series of tabs which you can use to select what to sync to the phone. If it's an audiobook then it should appear on the Books tab for selecting/syncing, and films will be on the Movies tab. When you've got the audiobook on your phone you should get an Audiobooks option in the Music app (you might need to tap the '...' tab at the bottom of the Music app to see it). -
I'm trying to export a raw image from lightroom 5.6 to Photoshop cc 2014 2.1. I right click to export menu in lightroom as I've always done to export to Photoshop. Photoshop opens, but it can't open file, window opens to find a file to open. I'd like this to export my lightroom images to edit in photoshop as it has always been able to do for me. What fix do you recommend?

The Initial view setting works perfectly when the file is opened in Acrobat after setting the desired Initial View.
When you upload the file onto Wordpress, and view it on that website in the browser...it might be using a different pdf handler program which might be causing this issue ( it would be helpful, if you could provide the screenshot) , however when you download the pdf again from wordpress server...and open in Acrobat/Reader...then what exactly happens ? Does the pdf opens in the desired Initial View setting?

Did you use the latest backup after setting it up "as new device"? If yes, try again, this time without using the backup, maybe it contains damaged data causing your problem.
If this does not bring any change, you should get it serviced.
