Illustrator order

My Illustrator order is not showing in my Creative Cloud Account. It's not in the products list not even in the orders history. I have received a confirmation e-mail 30 minuts ago with the order ID but I just can't start Illustrator. It keeps asking for the serial number (I have no serial number)....... Adobe Support is not working, the phone number gives a messagem to go to the web site and the on line support is offline (but now it's still in their working hours).....
What can I do?

Presuming CS6 purchased (as perpetual licence), you should ask Adobe (or the independent seller) for it.

How can I preserve non-alphabetical layer order from Illustrator to After Effects?

I'm using Illustrator and After Effects CS5. When I import an Illustrator file into After Effects, I'd like to maintain the order of the layers as they were in Illustrator, but they always come in alphabetically. How do I keep the original order from Illustrator?

The comp is always in the same order, the order in the project panel folder that is created is not and there's no way to force it to be. It makes no difference to the project.
If it's really important to you to have the layers in the Project Panel Folder in the same order as the layers in Illustrator File and the comp you can adopt a more friendly naming convention in AI. I always create my layers in Illustrator using Cmnd/Ctrl + Alt/Option + l because this gives me the opportunity to name the layer when it's created. With a little advanced planning and a published naming convention you'll have just what you want in no time. You could even write an action that automatically created and named layers for your default projects.

As the phone activation service is no longer available. I try the online activation as mention in the phone message when I tried to call, but is not successful@ as it didn't bring to an activation page. What should I do to activate it or solve the problem?

There should be an option tro activate when you run any of the installed programs.

Need to Install Java SE 6 Runtime in order to launch Illustrator from Mac OS Yosemite? But it's not available anywhere?

Can anyone help me with this? I upgraded to Yosemite, and now I can't launch Illustrator because it says I need Java SE 6 runtime in order to open it. But that version is not available anywhere, not on Apple's website and not on Oracle's. I did install the latest version of Java, but that didn't solve the problem. Apparently Illustrator (and I assume all of the creative cloud apps) require version 6? Any input is appreciated, this is SO frustrating ...

yes. but if you follow that link and click on "download" you get an Apple message that says "We're sorry. We can't find the page you're looking for." That was the first thing I tried. Any other ideas?

Ordered illustrator cs6 online over 24 hours ago and its still not showing up on my order history or purchased products

I ordered illustrator cs6 through adobe yesterday morning and still have not recieved my product or any information that it went through. I paid for it through PayPal but when I look at my order history on the adobe website I says I have no orders or products. Is it supposed to take this long to show up?

in the meantime, you can use the ai cs6 trial and when your order is confirmed and you receive a serial number you can convert your trial installation to an unlimited version without reinstalling.

I've checked the account and I found that you've subscribed for Creative Cloud illustrator and it does not required any serial number or code as its an subscription based services.
You need to use you Adobe ID in order get it installed.

Why is Illustrator changing layer order when I export?

I have a relatively simple Illustrator file that consists of several scatter plot graphs. Each point is a filled circle with an outline which sits on top of an error bar. The elements are ordered correctly in Illustrator; the error bars are visible behind the circles. However, when I try to export to PNG, JPEG, BMP, or any other format, the order of the elements changes such that the error bars on are on top of the circles. I have tried several variations of grouping and ungrouping but nothing seems to help. When I save as EPS, the order is retained; when I try to export from EPS to PNG, the order is changed as described above. I have other similar AI files that don't have this problem. I have tried this on both CS5 and CS6. Overprinting is turned off, and none of the elements have any transparancy. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and does anyone have a possible solution?

Attached are two screenshots to illustrate my problem. The first shows the AI file open in Illustrator with the correct order, the second shows the result of exporting to PNG. Notice that the error bars are brought forward in order during export.

Use Artboards (all)
Resolution: High (300 dpi)
Anti-aliasing: Type optimized (hinted)
Not interlaced
Background color: White
I tried setting the raster effect setting resolution to be the same as the desired export resolution, but that did not solve the problem.

Why do I have to restart Illustrator in order for a newly opened font to appear?

When I open a font using Suitcase it won't appear in Illustrator until I restart Illustrator? It used to do it automatically but I just got my iMac back from the Apple store after repair. Is there a setting that could have gotten turned off?

Okay - I solved my own mystery. It was as simple as going into Suitcase Preferences / General / check the box for "Auto-activate fonts for the following applications" / click the + and add Illustrator (or any other program). I knew it was a simple fix but it was driving me crazy! Thanks anyway for your input.

I guess I will just be showing my age if I reference one of Bob Newhart's best routines. In the one where he is the publishing house executive handling an inquiry from some guy on the line named Noah Webster, the conversation ends with the suggestion to the would-be-author of something he thinks should be called "The Dictionary" that the agency will get back to him when he comes up with some way to order the words he proposes to put in his book.
I am sure you have native-language users and others far more competent than I in CJKV fonts and character sets, and all of them will know that it has always been somewhat challenging -- in the West and even in the East -- to come up with uniformly-accepted ways to classify and organize the Chinese character set. Ater carefully discussing just that fact in his introduction, I have long appreciated the humility of Mr. Rose-Innes when he said [concerning the Japanese version of the characters and language challenges], after noting some lack of uniform ordering in the existing native dictionaries of the time, "We ourselves have followed a plan which, if not helpful, will at least in no way inconvenience those who wish to ignore it."
Of the many diffierent listings I have visited, and I have not by any means visited them all, the one in your conveniently-resizable pop-up, is the most inexplicable ordering of Chinese characters I have ever witnessed. I defy anyone, native user or hopeless Western lover of the Asian world, to locate a given glyph in that list. As a sfotware engineer, it boggles my mind to even think of what the sorting heuristic must be. Why would there be any other natural ordering than the Unicode sequence? Ok, Unicode sequence within major blocks -- I don't really care if you want to put the Ogham glyphs before or after the Standard Chinese ones, but whether I need to find a good symbol meaning water in Chinese or Ogham, I sure don't want those within each block to just be thrown into a pile as if by someone more devious than Alex Trebek trying to invent the world's least solvable Boggle puzzle.
I searched the history and did not find anything helpful. Can I be the only person using this great product to ever run up against the completely illogical, unusable glyph list?

With Fontlab, you can copy and paste from AI because Fontlab understands AI's clipboard format. Comes in as vector. Actually, you can go back and forth. To set up an artboard, copy a glyph out of Fontlab and paste in AI. Set your artboard size and guidelines. This will help to minimize any resizing in FL once you draw a glyph in AI and paste into FL.

I need illustrator but I am unsure what package I need. Is Illustrator another $359 a year? Or is their a way I can cancel my cloud and buy illustrator and photoshop for less?

Having done that, I rebooted the my MacAir.
