Illustrator starts and immediately closes again

Hello Adobe community,
I'm having a problem. When I click on my Adobe Illustrator CS6 to start it, it opens and immediately closes again and says "Illustrator was unexpected closed". Did you have similar problems. DO you have a solution for my problem?
I would be thankful for a reply!

I have recently installed trial versions of both dreamweaver and illustrator CS4 on my mac, and although dreamweaver runs flawlessly, illustrator crashes immediately every time I open it. The splash screen appears, it does its little startup song and dance, but about a second after it opens it closes again. No error message of any kind.
I've spent about four hours trying everything I can think of. Reinstalling the program does nothing. I scoured the internet for some mention of this problem, but I can't find anything quite like it.
It's driving me nuts! If anyone knows how to deal with this issue I would be very grateful.

Check, whether the default configuration and data for diocument templates, swatches etc. are in place and accessible. This should be in Library:Application Support:Adobe as well as in a similar sub-folder of your user account.

PSE 11 Opens and Immediately Close

Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 opens for 1 or 2 seconds and immediately closes, no error messages; windows 8 operating system.

Close the Notes app on the Task Bar and re-launch.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold the Notes app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen

I upgraded to 5.0.1 and now 2 apps won't work. Skype and Pinterest. When i tap them they open and immediately close. I deleted and reinstalled both. What do I do now?

Since downloading iOS 7.0.2 my iTunes will not open on my iPhone, once the icon is pressed iTunes flashes up and then closes again

Since I have downloaded the iOS 7.0.2 my iTunes on my iPhone 5 will not load, I press on the iTunes icon it opens and then quickly closes again, has anyone else had this issue?

Safari starts and then closes as soon as page is loaded. Never runs long

I loaded, reloaded, and finally gave up. Safari installs and once you start it it just closes within 5 seconds of loading the start page. Never does anything else. I have given up on IE as it just slows to a crawl and stops working... 'not responding' as if I can get the program to do ro display much less say anything. I am using Firefox right now.
I have an iPhone and that works okay. I have to reset it some and have had to reload it twice. Had it 3 months. Safari was pushed at me via iTunes. Now I wonder if MS and MAC are warring on my machine. All was perfect till then...

I spent hours reloading this dog. I noticed that from the moment that i loaded it IE just started slowing down. I used it up to that time withour any problem. It has since sped up again. but I have to drop alll extensions, reset to original settings and then unload safari three times. Did that really change things... I don't know.
I tried the font del, reload, the stop the page loading idea... just about everything that I read... to no avail.
I will try this other one in a few days. Got to work now... no time to mess witha PC... and if I didn't use ONE program that will not port to a MAC I wouldn't use a PC ever again.
You mentioned you use Vista, which I don't and never will use. I use XP PRO with all downloads (thankfully working right now). Are these files in a different DIR, do you know?

Apps open and immediately close

Hello all,
I've had some problems starting all of my third party, downloaded apps. Sometimes, typically after and restart or syncing with my macbook, I'll attempt to open an app and the app window opens then immediately goes back to the home screen. After some time it returns to normal, but at the time of this posting, after about 5 hours of standby and 2 hours of usage since last charging, the apps have still not returned to normal.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I did.
Ended up restoring and syncing on a completely different computer to fix the problem.
If you don't have another computer, try rebooting your phone... hold the power button and home button until the apple logo appears. Also try rebooting your computer and doing a fresh sync.

I have Numbers on iPad2 and it will not open. It tries and immediately closes. Any ideas/

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
If that doesn't help, you might consider deleting and re-installing the app.

Purchased song starts and immediately stops

I purchased my first song and downloaded it to my iPod Nano 2Gb. When it starts playing it immediately stops and goes back to the initial menu. This song plays in iTunes, and the other songs in the iPod play just fine.
I noticed the format is a "Protected AAC file", showing up in Windows as a MPEG-4 Audio File (Protected).
Any help?

(completely normal).

After trying all the steps in the above link, i finally used iPod Updater to restore the iPod, then it finally worked. All of this was performed under full administrative rights. Many thanks for your help.

If I accidently open an app and immediately close it down, it keeps reopening. Why?

If I accidentally open an application, and I go to shut it down immediately, it automatically re-opens itself. It repeats and repeats until I let it complete the opening process.
Does anybody have this problem? And if yes, have you resolved it?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

If you installed the software that came from your printer from Lexmark - uninstall it. Most printers are plug and play - using the built in drivers in OS X. Then uninstall the printer and try to reinstall it.

Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

When I open Firefox, I'm prompted to create a profile, but every time I click the create profile button, the window opens and immediately shuts.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled mozilla several times. I've read online about looking for a profile.ini file, that file does not exist on my computer. Everytime I open firefox, the choose user profile box appears, and when I click create profile, a window opens and immediately closes.

If even the Mozilla folder isn't there then it is possible that Firefox already crashes before being able to create that folder structure.
Try to do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

*It is important to delete the Firefox program to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
