Illustrator unexpectedly quit

Question

Hi there,
I had my 2012 MacBook Pro replaced by Apple owing to various issues and have since tried to install Creative Suite 6 and Google Chrome amongst other software.
Creative Suite 6 installed with no problems, however Illustrator will not open. Instead I get an error message every time I try which I have included at the bottom of my post.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software on numerous occasions to no avail.
I am a complete technophobe (well, I'm sure I am compared to most of you in here) and I'm at a loss as to what to do. I've googled the issue and I managed to find some stuff out about moving files to folders etc, but I seriously haven't got a clue! I've got some coursework due for Wednesday and was hoping someone might be able to give me a step by step guide as to how to resolve this if it is obvious to some in here.
PLEASE could someone help?!! In an ideal world, one of you helpful lot would tell me what to do in baby fashion, but I totally understand that's a big ask!
Sorry to be so stupid! Oh, Google Chrome comes up with a similar message, but that's not my ultimate concern at the moment.
It comes up with a great screen with a yellow exclamation mark followed by 'Adobe Illustrator CS6 quit unexpectedly'
