I have a very new Macbook Pro 17 Retina running OS X 10.9.3. After purchasing Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard for download and installing, InDesign and Photoshop work correctly; however, illustrator would not. It seems sad that after recently purchasing the software the Adobe installer installed an old version 16.0.0. Illustrator would not install after the original installation, so I installed the first update 16.0.1 and then attempted to install 16.0.3 which failed. I then uninstalled AI and reinstalled fro the web and installed 16.0.1, 16.0.3, 16.0.4 and 16.0.5, restarting between each install for good measure. The resulting program will still not start with no error message provided.

A few of our users have reported that once Flash is running Adobe Illustrator will not launch. We are moving from Windows XP SP2 to Windows XP SP3. The version of both Illustrator and Flash is CS2 (will be upgraded later to CS3).

CS3 Illustrator will not launch...help?

CS3 Illustrator will not launch on my MAC 10.4.11 all of the sudden. I created a new user on the same computer and it launches fine. All my main info and updates are on the "main" same computer where as the "new user" computer recognizes the same computer as being basically new. I tried to trash the CS3 prefs and even trashed CS3 in total and reinstalled it to no avail. ANy thoughts. Right now to use CS3 Illustrator I have to switch back and forth on the same computer to use Illustrator. Very frustrating indeed.Also reset the Preferences two ways hold the sift option command keys while relaunching Illustrator or for a more thorough reset quit Illustrator and trash the following Users/Username/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS3 Settings trash the settings folder.
BTW What type manager are you using? -

Last opened the application maybe 10 days ago.
When I try to launch the icon bounces in the dock, no splash screen...after a while I have to "Force Quit" - the application is not responding.
Rebuilt my permissions, checked for updates, restarted computer.
Nothing works.
Anybody got suggestions?

Go To Computer/Users/(Username)/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS5 settings
You will find a folder named "en_US", MOVE the complete folder to the desktop.
Try to restart Illustrator.

Adobe Illustrator CC will not launch
My Adobe Illustrator CC simply will not launch. It only opens a dialog that says, "Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 quit unexpectedly." There is a button that says "Reopen", but when I click there, it only opens the same dialog page. I have filled out the problem, which is suppose to notify the problem to Apple but so far so results have come to me with what might be wrong.

Illustrator CC for Mac trial will not launch
I have downloaded and installed the trial version of Illustrator CC for Mac. When I try to launch it. the icon flashes for a couple seconds and then disappears. The application will not launch.
Install the Verdana and Tahoma fonts from Microsoft.

I found out what the problem was. The font "verdana" has to loaded in my system fonts folder otherwise Illus. CC will not work. (don't't ask me how or why but it worked)

I purchased this CS6 product and have been unable to use it. What's the problem with the error? I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I just got off the phone with Apple and they helped me install Java but Illustrator still will not launch. I'm a designer and have work to do. Someone, please help! Thank you.

If you are on MAC 10.7 or 10.8. Try the following steps:
Step 1. Download Apple Java 2013-002 for OS X 10.7 and 10.8 from location: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/39490/apple-java
Step 2. Install this JAVA version using the DMG file.
>>> Once the installation gets completed a “Software Update” dialog gets displayed which says that “To open ‘Adobe Illustrator CS6’ you need a JAVA SE 6 runtime…..”
Step 3. Click on the “Install” button on the “Software Update” dialog
Step 4. Launch AI

On one computer we downloaded the software but Illustrator will not start up. She even uninstalled it and reinstalled but Illustrator still will not boot.
if windows, right click the exe and click 'run as administrator'.

My Illustrator will not open my files. At first I will launch the program open a file then the timer just spins and spins as if its thinking but nothing ever happens. The menu on the dock says its not responding. If I leave it like that for about 2 hours it will eventually open. But when I work and save again I get the same thing, application is not responding unless I let it sit there for a few hours. I reinstalled the software and nothing seems to be working.
Please help. This is wasting my time and very frustrating.

Since installing Mac OS 10.10.1 photoshop will not run, it will not launch. A window indicates that it needs JAVA SE6 to run. JAVA SE6 is installed. I have re-installed and restarted but photoshop will not run and I get the same message window that I need to install JAVA SE6. How do I make this work?
Have you added any Photoshop Add-on that uses an external JavaScript. Photoshop itself has is own ScriptingSupport Plug-in and does not use an external java. Also Java SE6 is old and has security issues you should update to version SE8

Illustrator is not launching/opening
Hi - I have just come back from maternity leave and found out my Illustrator will not open. Of course everyone at work says it was working just fine when I was gone - yea right!
So, I called support and they can't offer any help to me because I have CS2 Illustrator (unfortunately, my boss is too cheap to upgrade).
Anyone have a ideas of what I can do?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
The opening box does come on my screen, it freezes when it says it's initializing....

Oh - I also have CS1 on my Mac, but the applications closes on me as well. So I have nothing!

If none of this helps try simply going to User/Username/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS2 (& CS) Settings and trashing those folders and the com.adobe.illustrator.plist well also in the preferences folder.
Then try launching Illustrator. -
BB Desktop Software will not launch
PC, running Windows XP - Upgraded to new BB Desktop Software. Was working for about a month. Now, Will NOT launch - getting Windows Error

I re-connected to BB and loaded the "fix" versus the fuill version and still cannot load.
From the Windows Control Panel - Removed the BB Desktop Software and re-booted the PC. Re-Loaded the full Desktop Software from the BB website. Still NOTHING - except for the Windows errror.
Dead in the water. Cannot launch the BB Software to connect and synch BB Storm! iPhone on Verizon is looking better and better. Mid-February is NOT coming soon enough.

Re-stating my Problem:
1. I had loaded BB DM6 on a Windows XP PC about 3 months ago with no problems. In fact, it linked with all aspects of Outlook that I needed (Calendar, Task and Contacts). Yeah!! This did not happen with the 'original' BB DM that I loaded January 2009 when I bought the BB Storm from Verizon, but I lived with this short coming of BB. So the original installation of the desktop manager software loaded in January 2009 did not correctly function with Outlook.
2. OK. So something happened last week and the BB DM6 will not launch without getting the error message that I put in my 1st Posting of this Problem.
"So something happened". We can only go on your description of the problem. If you have no idea what happened i couldn't possibly know. The only "guess" would be an there was an auto update to existing software or you have added software.
3. I went to BB and loaded the "Fix" for PC. Also, this did not Launch BB DM6.
4. Unloaded the BB DM6 with the Windows XP Control Panel "Remove Program". Re-Booted the PC. Then, went to BB and reloaded the BB DM6. Same error message and no Launch.
Try using the repair/modify option in the Remove Program function on the DM installation currently loaded on the PC.
5. I am far from the "Techie" that the respondants to this Problem are!! I am a SIMPLE End User of this BB Storm having mucho problems ... all of a sudden ... last week after using BB DM6 without the problems.
6. What can a SIMPLE, non-techie End User do? From the Respondants Postings .. I am reading about Loading Roxio for BB DM from the Roxio website? Also, reading about that the Unload from the Windows XP Control Panel, Remove Programs, is incomplete for the removal of the BB DM6. I am being directed to removing 'hidden' files/keys as directed in a BB Problem Solving Posting for the CLEAN Removal of BB DM6--- which is surely not written for the SIMPLE, non-techie End User!!
The error indicates a problem with some Roxio software. If you were using DM with Media manager prior Roxio was a part of that software, or you are running Roxio software.The Roxio information I gave you was to remove Roxio drivers not load Roxio software.
In your description of the January 2009 install there were problems with the install that were never correctly addressed. What we are suggesting is to remove all traces of the Various installation of desktop manager which includes editing the registry. That is why using Windows remove programs is not sufficient.
Once complete you will be installing a fresh copy of DM on your system, this will ensure that the DM software can correctly integrate wit both Windows and MS Outlook
The install procedure is SUGGESTED as the best resolution to your problem. Whether you run it or not is your decision.
7. In simple non-Techie language for this SIMPLE, non-techie End User ... what can I do to fix the problem and be able to launch BB DM6 from my Windows XP PC??
This is as plain "non-techie" as I can write it.
