I want to simulate a resivoir tank being filled from the water from the roofs of 10 houses and it in turn being filtered, chlorine added, fluoride added, alarms, controls for pressure, leak detection, ph levels etc......

I am having trouble with my new Mac....Help please
I just got a new Mac G4 from my neighbor, who happens to be older, so the computer is still in great condition. The only problem is, he doesn't remember the login password! So I can start the computer, but I can't actually login. And I've tried to put the Panther reboot disc in and the restart it, but it doesn't do anything. None of the discs will even try to load when I put them in to restart the computer. Its not like the HP computer I have, whereas if I put the reboot disc in it actually works.
This is my first Mac computer and I'm not really familiar with them that much, so if some one could point me in the right direction, other than taking it to an actual retailer and having to pay them a bundle of money to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it.Cool handyandy42!

ItHi,
Do you have Adobe Reader installed on your device? You can check it under Settings-->Apps. If Adobe Reader is installed on your device and still the pdfs open in some other app, then you might have chosen that app to be the default app for always opening pdfs. You can clear the defaults for that application. Just go to Settings-->App--->Polaris(or any other app where the files open)--->Clear Defaults. Next time you try to open a pdf, you will be presented with the options again. Hope this helps. Please let us know if you still face some issues.

High School Student Having Trouble With Film Project
Hey everyone,
This is the first project I'm making with Final Cut, and whenever I log and capture a clip I get the following message:
"The audio sample rate of one or more of your captured media files does not match the sample rate on your source tape. This may cause the video and audio of these media files to be out of sync. Make sure the audio sample rate of your capture preset matches the sample rate of your tape."
Does anybody know how I can fix this? Where can I find the sample rate of my tape?
Thanks!Each cam may be a little different, but drill down into your cam's menu to find something like Audio Settings. You are looking for 48K or 32K. Your project's Easy Setup has to match those settings ... DV NTSC for 48K or DV 32 or 32K
Now, I was working with a version of Final Cut (5.1? not really sure) that gave that warning even when everything was kosher.
But definitely check to make sure everything matches .. if it doesnt, it will lead to sync issues -
I'm having trouble with iMovie crashing when I Finalize Project or Export Movie.
Every time I Finalize Project or Export Movie my iMovie crashes.
This has only started happening recently, I was creating movies and finalizing and exporting with no problems before.
I'm doing exactly the same thing - creating simple short movies with jpg stills and an mp3. It's all working fine until I Finalize or Export, then it crashes.
Can anybody help, I've tried every thing I can think of. I've installed the latest version from the Mac Store, but it still happens. I'm on an iMac with OSX 10.7.5

"I continued to talk to other Apple Mac users on iMovie….Interesting to have found out that their movies were made using iDVD without any known issues as yet…Looking at the results from Apple Support Forum and Youtube, problems appears to be when NOT using iDVD. I and many others can't understand how these many technical problems were overlooked by the programmers of iMovie. One would have thought iMovie problems have been iron out prior to getting rid of iDVD. By the way when I first contacted Apple Support back on 16th Nov, I was told I need to RE-INSTALL my computer…..that I did and in the process my iDVD was removed and never was re-installed.
May I suggest you delegate a junior person or someone string together a project consisting over near 1700 images, approx. 25mins of video footage, titles and including with and without transitions then export the project.
I am still in the dark as to what is being done about this extended non result. I am not sure if is known by the people who is in charge of this iMovie programme. it would be nice to get some sort of feedback. Not sure if I should refer this to a third party to do the testing?? I am sure Apple's competitors would love to make a mockery of this.
There has to be a time frame for this to end, as I and many others can't simply sit here in the dark and wait for someone to come back for a solution, this could be months or years who knows. As you can appreciate I am not the only user anxiously waiting for a solution.
I guess I am in a way representing other worldwide users in pursuing a solution on this matter ASAP. I therefore ask you to please make this a priority if this is at all possible.

I am having trouble with Canon scanner Presto!BizCard 5 HELP
I am trying to use the Canon P-215 scanner to get my business cards to scan using the software Canon sent with the unit. The CD says BizCard 5 and the Canon rep couldn't get it to work with my MacBook Pro....said it was a disk "cleaning" issue with Apple... The Canon guy doesn't know mac...please help me use the scanner to scan business cards, has anyone used BizCard with Mac? THanks...Please Help!!
Do you have alot of apps running in background? Tap home key 2 times and there's a list across screen with icons you can deselect them by hold on one and they wiggle touch the minus button and it will deactivate them untill you use them again. Do you have the phone dim after so many seconds or minutes? Is the screen bright all time? Do you go on the Internet or watch video on phone?
These things can affect the hrs of use. -
Having trouble with the adobe extension manager---download taking too long?
Hello, I'm currently in the process of downloading the last of my CS6 web design and premium which consists of; Dreamweaver,Flash,Photoshop,Fireworks,Illustrator,Acrobat X,Indesign- Everything downloaded just fine except indesign and acrobat. The extension manager just keep downloading , its been 3 days--and I've had this problem for awhile and had not had the time to download etc.--Does anyone know what is wrong--can I download indesign and acrobat without the adobe extension manager etc.----????

It works when I check it in Indesign but when I export the epub file and open it in Digital Editions or Calibre there is no evidence of a hyperlink. As if I didn't create any. Tried everything.
Could it be something in the Microsoft Word doc. I imported into Indesign?

I'm having trouble with my screen display. Could you help?
My screen (iMac Intel) is not displaying correctly. My menu items are off the screen. I'm wondering if I hit some kind of key commands, but am not sure what has happened. If I scroll to the edge of the screen, I can find them, but everything else on the other side moves over. I've tried restarting and that isn't helping. Any suggestions please?
Check your display settings, but I suspect you've accidentally zoomed the screen. If you go to System Preferences, Accessibility and then Zoom you may find that you've accidentally switched on screen zoon.

Having problems with brand new battery installed...Help please!
Here's my problem. I just recently replaced the battery on my 13" Macbook. The brand new battery ordered from Apple arrived on Saturday and up until last night everything was great. Now all of a sudden the computer is doing the same things it did with the old battery. I am getting the green light on the MagSafe Adapter even though the battery is not fully charged. I am also alternating between "Not Charging" on the battery icon and a "X" on the icon.
I did some reading and tried resetting the PRAM and SMC. I even uninstalled Leopard and reinstalled Tiger (updating everything afterwards), thinking maybe it was a software issue. (I just recently installed Leopard and hoped it was just a bad install.) None of that really seems to work.
There is one slight exception- the SMC reset. After I do the SMC reset I get the amber light from the adapter, the icon shows charging and all is well for about 15 to 30 minutes. Then I am back at square one.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or ideas on what could be going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Call Apple (800-275-2273) and explain the troubleshooting you have already done. They should set up a repair for your computer. If it is out of warranty you may have to pay for the repair.

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

When I search a topic gives me pages of links as normal, but when I click on a link, the page is hijacked to a site called 'www.goingonearth.com' ...
I've done a separate search and found that other users are affected, but there doesn't seem to be a clear-cut solution ... (Norton, McAfee and Kaspersky don't seem to be able to detect/fix it).
I'd like to continue using the Firefox/Google combination (nb: the hijack virus also affects IE but not Safari) - do you have a patch/fix that could rectify the vulnerability in your software?
