    If your Apple ID is disabled for security reasons, try resetting your password via the web using the steps in this article:

    You may not be able to change your iCloud email address, but once your password is reset you can remove your iPhone from Find My iPhone using the steps in this article:

    I have an IPad mini and I changed the Apple ID and the password almost one year ago and, for a while, a message asking me to sign in to ICloud pops- up constantly. My ICloud account is registered with an old email address and password. I do not remember the password to my ICloud account, and ID address that my ICloud account is registered under is an old email adress which is deleted right now (the old mail account is deleted). I don’t have a rescue email adress and I don’t know the answers to the security questions, so I have no way of changing the ICloud password. A message asking me to sign in to ICloud pops up constantly, but I always just hit cancel. However, now I am unable to access Find My IPad. How do I get my ICloud account changed and registered to be under my current Apple ID (email) and password? It is possible to set the device as New Ipad?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
    The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
    The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
    Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
    Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
    Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

    On your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you want to use.
    If you're running iOS 7 on your iPod and old ID is your ID, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
    If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you will need to do so (these are user-to-user forums) :
    - go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
    - click on your country's flag
    - click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
    - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    - then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    I changed my apple ID and password over and over again (using the same one) updated all my information (the same) and I can log in and out fine.  But my Iphone does not work at all and that is where I need it!  Everytime I try to update or download a new app it says my Apple ID is disabled.  I have tried to reset the settings but nothing.....what am I doing wrong!!!     What exactly do you mean by the statement that you have reset your Apple ID and password. I am not familiar with being able to reset and Apple ID.

    Try making a new Apple ID? I don't really understand what you mean.. Make a new apple ID, log in with that one and then when you are on your phone log out of it and THEN log in our old ID? If you still can't log in the old one then it's most probably a bug or something.. Anyway.. Good luck with your problem!!

    Follow these steps to correct your issue:
    1.     Log into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old ID (this is temporary). Do not verify the email address, just save the change and exit: https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
    2.     On your device, go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom and delete the iCloud account. When it asks for your password type in your current password, and follow the rest of the prompts to delete the account.
    3.     Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to your new ID. If you need to re-verify it, do so.
    4.     Go back to your device and sign onto iCloud with your new Apple ID
    You should be all set!

    Different services on your iOS device (iMessage, Facetime, iCloud, iTunes and App Store) can be signed into with an Apple ID of your choice. Make sure you verify the settings for each device and that you are signed in to each service with the correct Apple ID.
    I'll do an example for iMessage:
    1) Go to settings on your iOS device
    2) Select "Messages"
    3) Select "Send & Receive"
    4) At the very top you will see "Apple ID", by selecting your Apple ID, you will now have the option to sign out of messages with the current Apple ID, and sign in with the new one.
    The steps for changing your Apple ID for other services will be very similar.

  • When I bought my ipad i set it up using an itunes account name that my sons and I shared for music. Now I want to use my own appleid on the purchases for my ipad. I know my apple id and my password but dont know how to switch it on the ipad itself

    When I bought my ipad I used my family apple id that allowed us to share the itunes and pay with one card. (mine).  now my sone's apple id is connected to my ipad and I cannot change the password, nor purchase a book. I have reset my password and have my own apple id.  How do I link it on the ipiad with the itunes etc?  I am willing to "lose" the music I have purchased on my itunes account if that is what must happen. I believe that is why I did it in the first place but now I regret that choice.

    Settings>Store (or iTunes & App Stores if you are running iOS6)>Apple ID. Tap your son's ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID and password.
    You shouldn't lose the music, but if you try to update any apps that you bought with the family ID, you will have to use that password that is linked with that ID in order to update.
    Avoid downloading past purchased content with the old ID if you can since you will associate the iPad with the old ID for 90 days and you will lock yourself out of your own, new ID for that period of time. Read more about associated devices in iTunes here.

    •Repeat this process for any affected device

    •Manage Account
    •Sign in with "old" ID (current password)
    •Edit Primary Email Address
    •Save Changes
    •Verify Primary Email Address
    •Sing into each device with "current" ID under •Settings>iCloud
