Im connected to my home-wifi but it's not connected to internet?

I updated my both iPhones and ipad2 a few weeks ago to the newest version of ios 5.01,  but yesterday My iPad lost the connection to internet, but i'm connected to My home WIFI, i have checked all of my other units, such as computer, both iPhones, my smart tv, and they all work fine.
I have also tried to connect through static by manually type in ip, router etc with no success :(
Can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Sebastian T

Each IP address on your local network must be unique.
You might be able to enter static information but if DHCP is being used then you must use IP addresses that do not conflict with the IP addresses being used for DHCP.
I think that you need to find out why DHCP has stopped working on your router/modem.

IPad won't connect to my home WiFi. Was connecting fine then stopped.  My phone has no problem connecting to same WiFI.  Confused.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • My iPhone5S will no longer connect to my home wifi but others do.

My iPhone5S will no longer connect to my home wifi but others do. Mine will connect to other networks. I have rebooted the router and the phone, reset Network Settings, deleted the wifi network and reinstated it. Can anyone please help?

    Good day Telbuoy,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iPhone 5s is not connecting to your home Wi-Fi network. You've done a good job of isolating this behavior to your iPhone and home Wi-Fi router.
There are a few more steps that I'd suggest trying next:
Make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS version using the steps in Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Make sure your router is using the settings in Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points.
Update your Wi-Fi router with the latest firmware and make sure the router supports your Apple product. For more information, contact the manufacturer of your router. (from If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network)
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

When I am connected to my home wifi, it says I am connected but the 4G icon doesn't go away.  How can I make that go away when I am connected?

When I'm at my home, and on my Wifi, my 4G icon on my LG G2 is still present. No big deal. If the bits can flow via WiFi, that's what they'll do.
You might try (if you really MUST shut off the cellular radio):
Settings, Network Connections and More networks. Select Mobile Networks and uncheck Mobile data and data roaming.
Not sure if that will work - but give it a try.

  • My MacBook Pro will not connect to my home wifi but will connect everywhere else. My other Apple devices (I-pad, I-touch, another MacBook Pro) connect to the router without problems. It was working fine but all of a sudden stopped working. Thanks!

My MacBook Pro will not connect to my home wifi but will connect everywhere else. My other Apple devices (I-pad, I-touch, another MacBook Pro) connect to the router without problems. It was working fine but all of a sudden stopped working. Thanks!

    try this.
get back into your router's settings and start deleting devices that are not connected to your router.
you can also delete the ones that are connected - they'll connect again.
on the DHCP side of it, increase the amount of users that can connect/log in to your router.
see if that sorts it out for you.
    good luck.

Since you have already isolated it down to your home network, if following Steve's instructions do not fix your issue, contact your Internet Service Provider or Router Manufacturer and make sure your network is set up according to this information: iOS and OS X: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

My macbook pro is connected to wifi but it will not connect to the internet. When I go on safari, it says that "Safari can't verify the identity of the website". • TS1398 My iPhone 4 won't connect to my home WiFi, but all my other devices are connecting to it just fine. Please help!

Hey everyone, I have been having this problem for about a day or two now. I have an iPhone 4, and have iOS 7.1.2. Basically, my iPhone will connect to my home WiFi sometimes, but it randomly loses connection and won't connect for hours upon hours. I have tried turning it on and off multiple times as well as resetting the network settings. I know that it is not my network's problem because a member of my family has an iPhone 5S, and it works fine with the WiFi, along with all of my other devices. This issue is getting very annoying as I don't like to use my cellular data at home since it is limited. Please help me!!

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
What happens when it fail to connect?
-----  Does the iOS device see the network?
    ----- Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • TS1398 My Iphone 5 wont connect to my home wifi but other devices will. What do I do?

I went away for a weekend and when I came home my iphone would not connect to my home wifi. I have tried everything I could think of. Reset the phone, the network settings, the router everything that I could possibly think of. Other devices will connect to the wifi but just not the phone.

Remove all power from the router for about 15 seconds. If that doesn't fix it check if you have MAC filtering enabled on the router. If you do the iPhone needs to be added to the Allowed list.

  • Connected to my home wifi, but will not load pages

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has a iPhone 4 that is having Wifi issues. I am connected to my home wifi (it shows the wifi bars & I'm connected to my network), but when I try to access any internet based programs it will only say Loading..... The page will never load. When I access wifi from anywhere else I do not have a issue. What can be the problem?

Yes, router has been turned off & reset. I have wifi connection bars. Tells me I'm connected, but will only get Loading..... My sister also has a Iphone 4 & does not have a problem connecting to Safari, itunes or App store. Any other suggestions.

  • I am connected to my home WIFI but it says that I am not on thr internet..what can I do

I,m connected to the locwl WIFI but not able to get internet. What can I do?

Try restarting your router by removing power for 30 seconds.

  • My iphone 4S is not able to connect to my home wifi network although it easily connects to others. Infact, i have tried connecting another iphone with my home network without any difficulty. So its just my new iphone 4S that is not connecting.

My iphone 4S is not able to connect to my home wifi network (BSNL). It does detect it and even tries to connect to it but in vain. However, it connects to all other available networks easily. Another interesting thing is that all other devices including an iphone 4 easily connects to this home network. So what is the problem with iphone 4S???

There are two ends to a wireless network. Try rebooting your router. Just pull the power for a few seconds and replug. No settings are lost.
(The fact that all your other devices connect to the internet is irrelevant)
