Gray snow, hides left top dots and blurs scroll bars, how can I repair this?

After I cleaned up my macbookair, by throwing away some unused software, the fill out fields and the red, yellow and green dots and scroll bar all turned into gray snow. Still works but I need to guess where the dot's are in the gray snow.

Anybody, can you tell me how to repair this? Re starting doen not help. closing and opening also does not work.
I am not sure if I have mountain lion, or so, at least I can't find where it should be.

Keep getting error and don't know how to fix...

ok, I keep getting this nullPointerException error.. and I have no clue what I've done wrong.... I believe its on the client side of it... because when I run just the client.. the try catch should make it be like "can't find host" but instead.. it just sits there.. the cursor blinking.. and Idk why.. so if you could please help me!!!!!!! heres the server and client code

ok so that was a silly mistake I made... yet it didn't fix the problem... whenever I run just the client, shouldn't it not find a host and not just sit there blinking? but when I do run the server then run the client I get this error from the server side
java.lang.NullPointerException
at SocketServer.main(SocketServer.java:32)
which is when it starts the ObjectOutputStream and such... so I can only assume the problems on the client side, I bet its something easy too that i'm missing.. lol

Why is it necessary that, every time I open Firefox to Google, it displays the Search | Firefox Help" tab and the "Start Now" tab. These are redundant and not wanted. How can I eliminate them?

I don't know what more details could be needed to respond to this simple question. It is a nuisance to have the help window when there is a help tab and "Start Now" may be some people favorit search engine but not mine.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

You must have a counterfeit iPod since that latest model sold by Apple is the 5G.
Assuming y have a 5G with iOS 7, that means those songs are available for download via iCloud. To download just tap on the song/icon when an internet connection is availalbe.
Of yo do not want those to show, go to Settings>iTunes and App Store>SOW ALL and turn off Music.

Follow the steps listed below for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps under Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
