Running the Lion Os requires a MINIMUM of 2 GB of RAM, as you have. However, with that little RAM the computer will have trouble with many memory based tasks, such as copying and pasting. You really need to increase the amount of RAM your computer has in order to increase its speed and performance. Now, when a task requires more RAM than your system has available then the OS will use some harddrive space temporarily instead. This is called "Virtual Memory." Is it possible that at this time that your harddrive is very full relative to its stated capacity, so that even "virtual memory" is not really available? If that is the case, you really need to cleanup your harddrive by deleting a fair number of less used files.

I get this error when I try to import an Image file exported from my application on another PC, everythign else has moved over fine except the images:

I tried to use an external hard drive from my windows computer that was formatted in NTFS Windows format. Mac Pro sees that hard drive as "read only". Itunes works on existing media on the hard drive to play music or movies, but when you try to purchase from itunes store and download you get the above message. You need to move your library to a library that is formatted in exFAT format (which can be used both by "windows" and mac computers.

my hardrive Had a smart status warning so i made a backup of it on my external harddrive through disk utility. i checked to make sure that the backup was working and i had no problems with it. i then bought a new internal harddrive and swaped it out but when i was in recovery mode to try to restore my new hardrive i kept getting an error message saying restore error, input/output error

The big dilemma with a new Internal drive is separating Drive operation from 'inside the MacBook' operation. If you had an External Enclosure, you could do all the work (including booting up from the new drive) using the External enclosure.
Then if a know-good drive develops problems only when moved inside the MacBook, it is time to try a replacement cable.

It's alright I wanted to change the partition order anyway.

I am getting error when I try to generate Data Preview

Hi Friends,
I have created a view and Validated also activated which was successful, Now when I try to generate data preview it is giving me error
The error says:
com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException:SAP DBTech JDBC: [391] (at 130) : Invalidated view : P1163893/EXP_ONE: Line 1 Col 13(at POS 130)
Kindly help what went wrong in this process.

this is well known bug/feature of SAP HANA
issue is explained in following SAP note:
1612696 - "Invalidated view" error when using analytical views

You need to execute following statements:
grant select on schema <SCHEMA> to _SYS_REPO with grant option
Where <SCHEMA> is schema of tables used in the view definition.
(If you used several schemas - you need to do this for every schema.)

Imac 10.6.8 keeps getting error when i try to upgrade to mavericks

i have went under apple and applied all software updates then to itunes to download mavericks and i keep getting error. help. please. im not computer savy.

Ipod disabled getting error when I try to recover/restore

Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help. I bought my son an Ipod touch (2nd generation) from ebay (he’s only 8 and I didn’t want to spend the money on a new one). The auction said it worked perfectly and of course it doesn’t and the seller isn’t responding to my emails.
When I turn it on it says “Ipod is disabled try again in 21,439,586 minutes.” I googled this and found out how to go through itunes to restore it back to manufacturer settings. Unfortunately, when I do this it begins downloading like it’s in the process of restoring but when there’s about a minute left I get an error message that says something like “cannot connect to Ipod because a passcode is needed.”
It goes through almost the entire recovery/restore process. I've watched videos on youtube of this and I'm doing the same thing as on the videos except I keep getting the final error regarding it not being able to connect because of a needed passcode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm the stereotypical struggling single mom and I really wanted to surprise my son on Christmas Day. I'm so upset now that it's 3 days before Christmas and I've got him a gift that doesn't work.
