so this happened out of nowhere about two days ago but i am getting TONS of email sent to me from something from blackberry. its never the exact same address but here is one of them: [email protected] and here is the message it keeps sending me:

Im seriously getting 2-3 of these messages an hour. i had to take email off of my phone because i kept getting them on my phone. if anyone has any explanation for this please let me know ASAP. thanks

Hi,
This means that you have installed you BlackBerry Desktop Manager the wrong way. You installed it with the option of Enterprise or Redirector option.
What you need to do is to uninstall Desktop Manager and reinstall it again. When you are in the installation process you will be given an option to choose between Enterprise/Redirector and BlackBerry Internet Service. You should choose BlackBerry Internet Service.
The ETP messages are messages that the Entrprise Server and Desktop Redirector process. Since you are not connected to an Enterprise Server or an Exchange server (for the redirector) then the messages gets stuck in your inbox.

First, don't unsubscribe. This only tells the spammer that your email address is valid and they will send even more.
If this is only being sent from a few specific email addresses, you can set up a rules on icloud.com similar to the image below to send them to the trash. This describes how to set up a rule: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a3f8a.

How to get back the emails from an old hard drive that has no more OS ?

My computer crashed recently.
The problem came from Windows somehow. So the hard drive is fine.
since windows couldn't be repaired I just copied a disk image backup to a new hard drive.
The problem is that I lost all the emails that were recieved between the moment I did my backup and now.
I can still access the folder :
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\XXXXXXXX.default\Mail\
How can I use the files in that folder in order to get back my emails in Thunderbird ??

Thunderbird mail is stored in MBOX files. these will be locted in the mile folder (well sub folders) along with an MSF index of their contents with the same name.
This add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/ will import MBOX files. Once installed it adds an entry to the bottom of the Tools menu.

In the Actions box select Preferences
Select the Email Notifications Preferences tab
Set the values as you like

In the Actions box select Manage Email Notifications
delete any that show

Getting my verizon email from another computer

my main computer just went down and I would like to continue to view my verizon email from my laptop, which is not set up with email account from verizon.
I know there is some string that I can type to retrieve my email but not sure what that is.
I looked in the help section but could not find the answer in all the junk listed there.

If you want to use webmail, simply point your browser's address bar to http://webmail.verizon.com and log in.
If you prefer to use a pop3 client (such as Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or Mac Mail), then you will need to configure your client of choice with the appropriate settings. Below are the settings you should be using. If you have trouble with the configuration, tell us what client you are using and we can try to give step-by-step instructions.
For the sake of example, we are going to pretend that we are setting up fictional account "[email protected]" and the password for logging into that account in webmail is "fakepassword" - Again, this is a fictitious account for the sake of an example.
The settings for using Verizon's servers would be:
Incoming Server: incoming.verizon.net
Server Requires Authentication: Yes
Username: fakeacct
Password: fakepassword
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): No
Port: 110
Outgoing Server: outgoing.verizon.net
Server Requires Authentication: Yes (You can set it to use the same settings as incoming, or manually enter the username and password.)

Port: 25 (although 587 also works.)
These settings should work unless you have a Verizon/Yahoo account, in which case the server names are: incoming.yahoo.verizon.net -and- outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net

I setup "Call-Home" here and it works fine for server reboots, FCIP link problems & Line-Card issues. Every time a issue/problem Hardware/Software happens you should get an email saying what the issue/problem is.
Help us the other week when our FCIP link got turned off by our supplier.
One thing it will show from the switch end that a HBA goes off-line but you will need something like SIM (HP servers) for the server end.

Don't get password reset email from Mozilla

I filled in the 'please reset my password' form 3 times and still do not see any password reset email. Over the weekend all my bookmarks disappeared and the solution apparently is to logon and perform a Sync reset. But I can't do that without my password. How can I get my new password link? I use gmail and my spam folder has no reset email. Is the Firefox password reset service working?

I forgot to mention for future finders of this error report. If you click on the 'Server Status' button that appears at the bottom of your FF screen (I'm running v15.01) you are taken to a web page showing there is supposedly nothing wrong with the Sync servers and a link to send in troubleshooting information. So far the follow up has not occurred for me.

I'm having a problem signing into Facetime, it says my apple ID account has not been verified so I go to My Apple ID and sign in and click verify in order for it to send me an email. It doesn't be anything. It doesn't send an email it goes through the process of refreshing but I know that normally if it sends an email, a message comes up saying an email was sent.
