Im having a problem with Firefox opening web pages that i have set as my home page such as Google also will not open Yahoo but will open most bookmarked pages

After starting Firefox the Firefox homepage comes up with the google search, but if i enter anything in the search bar, nothing happens it just says done. Also my homepage is Google, imported from Internet Explorer, but doesn't come up when i start Firefox, And Also at the top on the tab it just says untitled. Now with that being said if i enter in yahoo or yahoo.com in the search tab or even enter in the actual web address, it still doesn't open it just says done at the bottom of the page and nothing happens, But if i go to the Bookmarks also imported from Internet Explorer it will open or display most all of the web pages it just seems to be having problems with search engines such as Google, and Yahoo. Now if i enter Ask.com in the web address search tab it will open that page but if i enter Google.com or Yahoo.com nothing. Also like i said most all bookmarks will open but yahoo or my yahoo that is saved in Bookmarks will not. and nothing happens with any entry made into the Google search displayed on the the Firefox Start Page.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Having a problem with Firefox using Hotmail email. Inbox - as checking messages it freezes up or a 1 item window follows cursor and does not allow you to enter

I am having a problem accessing Hotmail email messages via Fireflox server. When I am in the Inbox, reviewing messages, it either freezes up or a "1 item" small icon window follows cursor and does not allow me to enter messages or do anything. Have to log off and start over. Suggestions>?

Can you detect any pattern to it, whether related to messages with attachments, or particular advertising on the page, etc.?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page and logging in again. Does that help?

I have three problems with Firefox 3.6.8 that 3.6.9 hasn't fixed: 1) Firefox has stopped responding to any and all javascripts, 2) Firefox won't play any embedded videos, and 3) Firefox won't let me open up new windows.

Every new link has to be opened in a new tab, or nothing happens. No matter how I try, I can't open more than one window with Firefox. Worst of all, if I surf the Internet for more than an hour, all these problems have a cumulative effect and Firefox simply crashes. I'd uninstall 3.6.9 and reinstall 3.6.6 (which gave me no problems) if I could only figure out how to save and export all my passwords and user IDs first -- that's way too much to have to input again from scratch!!

Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.

The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem.

Whenever I log on to mymsn via Firefox I get this error message: TpyeError: Components. classes[cid] is undefined. Also I used to be able to type in an address or select one from the drop down menu and it would go to the site now I have to click the icon on the right hand of the address bar. Also when I am in a site and there is a link to an email like Craigslist it will not allow me to email. I have to get the email address and go into my mail and manually email. That message is usually caused by an incompatible add-on. You need to do a little bit of troubleshooting to determine which one, and then disable that particular add-on until you can find and install an updated version which doesn't cause that error.

Your other problems might be cause by that "incompatible" add-on.
Firefox 4 isn't supported any longer, Firefox 5 was a security update for Firefox 4.01. The version to "go back" to would be Firefox 3.6.19, if that is what you would prefer to do. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Netflix having JavaScript problem with Firefox 7

FireFox was working fine with 6 before the update to 7 with Netflix, and after the update Netflix no longer plays which Netflix tells me to enable JavaScript which it is with FireFox 7.

Not really a problem with Firefox per se; just wondering how I set Windows Live Hotmail as my default mail client.

Having major problem with deployed installer needing DLLs that I don't seem to use in the application

I'm a bit confounded on the library situations...I'm not using an RT target...
though
when running the deployed executable/installer.... upon start it asks
for these 2 dlls: lvuste.dll & lvalarms.dll. which seem to be related to RT ???? how do I get
around this? How would I include these dlls within an executable or installer?
I'm using 8.5.

It looks like this was a problem with the way Timed loops link directly to those 2 DLLs. Does the error ask for those DLLs in a specific folder? If so you can copy them from their current location (which I believe should be <labview>\resource folder) to the folder that it wants them to be in. Alternately you can simply remove the timed loops, since timed loops on a Windows PC doesn't really have much benefit over a while loop with a timer.

Owing to compatibility problems with firefox 3.6.10, I want to re-install 3.6.8. How? (Also tag Norton toolbar)

Specifically a number of toolbars including Norton and Nero and their related functions such as identity safe autofill will not work now. I have tried dozens of solutions, and even Symantec cannot do it, so I just want to go back to 3.6.8 for now.

This question should also be tagged " Norton toolbar". Obviously if either Mozilla or Symantec find a software fix then this one will be solved; in the meantime I still don't know how to re-install earlier versions of Firefox.

Firefox 21.0 android will not display websites but will when highlighted then searched

on my tablet android 4.0.4 when I load a website, the address bar shows the site has finished loading but the site is empty.
if I then touch and highlight the address then push search, the page displays immediately.

IF your not using .com at the end, it search via google.

I'm having a problem with firefox not handling callto with skype

I'm running Firefox 5 and Skype version 5.3.0.116. When I click on a callto link on a website a new browser window opens with the address callto:callto. I then get the offer to choose Skype to make the call again and if I select it again another new browser opens, this time with callto:callto:callto.
As an example, clicking on a phone number on my .tel - aled.tel has the issue.
Using IE9 with this version of Skype initiates the call as expected, which is why it seems to be that the problem is with FF rather than Skype.
