Im having problems installing itunes on my G5.  Any suggestions?

What version OS X is your G5 running?
What version of iTunes are you attempting to install?
Why do you need the new version?

    Repair your Apple Sofyware update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Mobile Device Support entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Anybody else having problems installing itunes version 11 on a MacBook Pro? Is so, how can they be resolved?

You need to tell us exactly what messages you are seeing.
You posted this in the OSX 10.4 forum but your computer profile says you are running OSX 10.6.8  Which system version you are running makes a big difference.

  • Having problem installing iTunes on Win7 x64

I tried installing iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows 7 (64-bit) from apple website but few seconds after the installation begins, an error comes up that says: "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." When I press OK it stops the installation. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

  • Having problem installing Itunes

I have this problem when installing iTunes where it prompt, "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start systme services." So is there any solution for this?

I upgraded to itunes 7.02. when I installed Itunes messages says requires quicktime.
... are you getting that right at the very end of the install, when iTunes tries to launch? or do you get it at some other stage during the install?

  • Having problems installing Itunes to Windows 7 Computer

Hello, Can someone please help me!
I've tried installling Itunes to my Windows computer since I've now got an Iphone. However, When I go to install It reaches the end of the installation but never allows me to click "Next", the Cancel button is still highlighted.
If I click the cancel button, the update will not cancel. The box will just stay on the screen.
I then noticed that on the "All Programs" section, it said "Apple software updater" - When clicking on it, it said something about the "parameter incorrect." So it couldn't perform the action. I think this is the problem but I dont know how to get round it.
Could someone please give me a simple soloution!

    This hasn't seemed to work
here are some visuals to help - it remains like this
and when trying to click on the apple software update

  • My Canon pixma pro 100 is having trouble installing its rear driver? any suggestions?- ty

When I instal the softwear; I get a warning that I belive is linked to my problem. It is the only indicator of a problem with my printer use. I have download the driver directly from the site with no improvment- see below.

I have the Pixma Pro-100. But I'm using Windows 7, so I'm afraid I can't be a lot of help to you. I tried to help someone in another forum the other day and showed some screenshots, but he said he didn't have anything like that on the Mac.
If you're going to use ICC profiles, you have to turn off color management either in the printer or in the printer driver. It doesn't matter which one, just make sure that it gets turned off. Then what I do is I use soft proofing with the appropriate paper profile to prepare a soft proof copy for printing. After I have set my printer settings the way I want them and have everything just right in Lightroom, I save the preset for printing. And it seems to keep what I have set. If you can show me some screenshots of your printer driver, perhaps I can be of assistance.
Regardless of whether I allow Lightroom to manage the color or allow the printer to manage it, I am getting really nice prints. So I'm sure there's something that you are probably just overlooking.
