Is your phone unlocked by the french provider? If no, you can't use it with an other provider.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -

Hi all! I was updating the software on i pad to ios6, update was interrupted(apple update server is unavailable...). iTunes Diagnostics shows that "secure link to I tunes store failed". I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Can anybody help please?

No iPhone records voicemail messages. Visual voicemail is simply an interface to the carriers voicemail servers.
Contact the carrier to troubleshoot the issue with their voicemail. -

how can i retrieve it?You should have been syncing your contacts with your computer all along. They should be in your computer in whatever program you have chosen to sync.

I have the 11" MBA, I was updating the software to Lion X , which is free update for me. I was charged 1 rupee on my account yesterday, BUT today again I was charged 20 USD for iTunes ( which I didnot purchase). Please advice.
The battery will run UP TO 7 hours.
The run time depends on what you are doing.
Anything that puts a heavy load on the CPU will reduce the run time.
There is a fixed amount of energy in a charged battery.
The faster you take energy out the shorter the run time will be.
Turn off bluetooth.
Reduce backlight to as low as is comfortable for you. I use level 5.
Watching video uses a lot of energy. -

If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades. -
