I got my Zen V yesterday and I love it but theres one problem. 3 of the songs I have on it won't play. It says that the audio format is not supported, But the format is mp3 and it plays every other mp3 song that I have. I Don't know why it's having a problem with this song. Can somebody Please help me? Sorry if this is the wrong section to put this in, this is my first time on here. Thanks in advance

Now, where did you download these songs? Are they from a CD? From a subscription service? Try to convert them to a different format (like WMA or WAV) and see if they do work on your player. So try that and let us know if it worked.

If the G5 is involved, the packet loss seems to be greater. Does the nature of wireless account for some loss on the MacBook Pro? The MacPro, which is wired, has no loss going to Google.

Not sure if this is in the correct place! But here goes!
2 weeks my car was broken in to. The wife has only just told me that she thinks her ipod was in the car! As you can imagine its not in there now!! I have spoke to the police and the lad they caught has lots of stereos and other items including ipods!
As ipods all look the same and the police wont let me look at them. They have asked if i can find the serial number. Problem is i dont have the box any more!
The point if this post is.... In itunes is there any way of finding out what ipods have been synced with it?

I've browsed this subject in the forum but none seem to apply...
Last night I put my Mac to sleep, nothing unusual there. When I woke it up today all of my Safari and Mozilla bookmarks were gone. When I checked the bookmark plist for Safari and the html file for Mozilla they were set back to default. Does anyone know what caused this, how to recover them, and how to prevent this in the future?

And I really should've known better than to use Energy Saver on here. It did screwy things to both my old Beige G3 and my iBook, so I left them running all the time as you said. A31p problems... not sure if this is normal
I have a thinkpad A31p which is apparently able to be upgraded to 2 gb of RAM. After upgrading the ram to one 1 gb (pc 2700) and one 512 mb (pc 2100), the graphic card seemed to act up. It only recognised 32 mb of the 64 mb on the adapter and the colours constantly would screw up unless I restarted the computer multiple times. That day I also upgraded the wireless card to an Intel 2200 BG card. I am not sure if this is a strange coincidence but in order to test out if the ram had anything to do with it. I put the 1 gb in an A31 and the same thing happened. Only 8 of the 16 mb of the graphics card are recognised and the colours are all wacky. In a somewhat related issue, I was trying to upgrade the HD of the A31p as well... I was trying t use a Hitachi Travelstar 160 GB drive. All seemed to go well for installing XPbut after installing SP2 on the machine, the drive stopped responding, almost as if the computer realised that it was a 160 GB drive and did not like it. The old 30 GB drive still worked great so I am not sure what caused that. The Hitachi drive tested fine when teasted on another computer. It is almost as if, the larger the drive gets the more the computer doesn't like it. Has anyone ever had these problems before or know of any solutions?

You're not going to like what I'm about to say...
GPU in your A31p has started going bad, which is a very common problem with this machine type. If you're lucky, solder re-balling or re-flowing will solve the problem. If you're not and it's the actual VRAM going haywire, you'll need a new motherboard.
Your upgrades have done aboslutely nothing to harm your ThinkPad, so don't worry about that aspect of the story.

I am signed in with the account that I purchased it I don't have another account I'm not sure what's going onOpen up iTunes. Go to Store. Go to Account and sign in. Click on Purchase History. Find your purchase record.

JSP default error page - not sure where this goes
So I am not sure where the jsp section of the forums is but Ill post here ....
Any ways I dont like the look and feel of the current default error page when you throw an error on a jsp so i created my own cutom error page and set that as isErrorPage="true" then in the header.jsp I placed errorPage="error.jsp."
It doesnt work.
I have a jsp, a servlet and the error page. the jsp sends information to the servlet which sends the result back. if that servlet throws an error then it should be displayed on the error.jsp page where I told it to...How ever - it just goes to the default error page.
How do I fix this.

And even if it was possible, it's not something that could be recommended.
A normal way would be to catch the exceptions in your servlet and handle them there (log the exception and redirect to an error page). -
I tried updating my iPod 5th gen to iOS 8 but it only shows me a picture of the iTunes logo and a charger at the bottom, I'm not sure what this means or what I need to do. Can someone please help me?
After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup
To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

When I click on an email address embedded in a web page, a page would open in my email program with this address in the "To" line. I recently installed Microsoft Office 2010 and now when I click on an email address nothing happens. I am not sure if this is due to Office 2010 or a Firefox problem. I use a PC with Vista.

Hi,
Again, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but its worth a shot.
so i've been transcribing video all day using microsoft office for mac, and was saving the project (i thought) to an external hard drive. at one point the HD came unplugged, and i plugged it back in. no big deal. i continued to save, to type, save, type, etc until finished. so when i finished and saved the project, seemed okay. when i closed word, it kept asking me if i wanted to save changes...i said yes, and it would just ask me again, did this a few times. i assumed it was asking me to save it to a new location, which i didn't think i needed so finally said no.
i then find out that somehow when the HD was unplugged it erased Words ability to save to said location. so my last save was really before the HD was removed, which is odd, because i kept saving and never was prompted the path was interrupted or anything.
so my question is two part...
1. where would i find in the depths of the computer the saved files? if i was saving, they had to have gone somewhere, but i dont know how to find them.
2. also, assuming it wasnt saving, my word prefs say it autosaves every 5 minutes, so those files must exist somewhere also, yet can't find them...
does this make sense, can anyone help me?

In Finder, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes".
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists.
See if it may be in one of those with a 1 or 2 added to it. -
iPhoto is no longer allowing me to export & resize photos into a file on my desktop. It just states that it is Unable to create file on desktop. I'm not sure what this means on how to correct this issue. Any support would be greatly appreciated!

Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download IPhoto Library Manager 4 for OS XC 10.6.8 and iPhoto 8.1.2 and later or iPhoto Library Manager 3 (for OS X 10.5.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and earlier) and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 3) or Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 4) option.
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory. -
