Im Sooo Angry WIth my Shuffle It Wont Respond at All!!

Ive exchanged my iPod shuffle 3 times since christmas And everything single one ive had problems with, It's ruined my christmas and everything!!! When I first got the one that I have currently it worked but and error message came up saying that There was a error writing to 'IPOD" disk, The disk should not be read or written to" anyway that isnt the problem. Ever since ive disconnected it when the light is flashing orange everytime i plug it in it hasnt been doing anything at all, It wont show up in windows or iTunes, and everytime I try to restore it, the Newest iPod updater and the older ones too say that another program is using my Ipod so close them down! I DONT HAVE ANY OTHER PROGRAMS USING THE IPOD OPEN AT ALL! I checked Nothing is open at all i used cntrl alt delete Looked into task manager NOTHIN! And when I do plug it in when it's off the USB detects but nothing will show up in itunes or windows! and then when I turn it the shuffle on it's like i turned it off and the light turns green and then Nothing, Nothing at all. I just need my Ipod to show up in Itunes and respond! Please help!!!

dude try to hold button for 3 seconds with it on this will reset the darn thing then make sure that you have new update then run updater this will download in about 5 hours ..... rerun updater from start panel hit restore make sure that you use disconnect button in taskbar tray if you do not it wont work i spent 4 days on 2 of them without this page i would have never got mine to work about put them under weels of car. this worked for me hope it helps

    I just got this Ipod the day before Christmas. I havent dropped it or spilled anything on it or anything. I put it down beside me for like 5 minutes and now it wont respond at all. I held both of the bottoms for 20 secounds nothing happens. When i go to plug it into the copmputer or plug it into the wall nothing happens. All i have is a black screen. What should i do?

    If the battery has run down completely, you will need to leave it connected to power for a while before any signs of life appear, say thirty minutes. Have you left it that long?

    i was using my iPod shuffle as a portable hard-drive for some programs to put them onto my laptop and when i told it to disconnect from my dell it did but when i put it into the laptop it froze and wasnt recognized. i pulled it out and looked at i turned it on but the light was orange and too dim to see unless u covered the shuffle with ur hands. so now it wont charge and isnt recognized at all someone please help me i cant live without my music!

  • HT201412 i turned my phone off for a concert,when i turned it back on and it was acting up so i went to do a soft reset and now it wont respond at all! it wont show on my itunes or computer when i plug it in, it wont even charge. what do i do? is it broke

    If the reset doesn't work:
    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note: Data will be lost

  • Computer Wont Respond at all to ipod!!

    I have had the 5th gen ipod video 30gb for about 5 months now with no problem i recently downloaded itunes 7 like most people and my ipod would not respond to itunes then i pluged it into my wall adapter and the hardrive just clicked on and off untill the ipod wouldnt respond to anything eventually. I brought it to my local apple store and got a new one i come home today and now the brand new ipod is not responding when i plug it into my computer at all. I know a lot of people are having problems but i would love to have some help on this. Also i've tried disk mode and a lot of other things i've read here on the message board so any suggestions on at least getting itunes or my computer to respond to the ipod.

  • My iPad is completly dead. It wont charge It wont respond at all. I have tried resetting it but it wont work.

    My iPad is just dead i cant use it because it wont turn on it wont charge it wont reset. The iPad responds on itunes when syncing stuff to it but still no light or anything its just dead. Is there anyway of fixing it without restoring it?

  • Computer is frozen, it wont respond at all

    Ok the computer i have is perfectly fine, until i plugged in my 30GB color display ipod. First it froze up the computer, so i restarted the computer and took out the USB cord.   • General settings wont respond properly, all other settings work except general

    i can access all other settings except for general, everything else works fine its just when i click on general it only shows the background and the settings in the top left corner, it doesnt freeze or anything, just nothing shows up, plz help

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

    I have an ipod shuffle and it has been working fine. It turns on and off and I can play music. Now all of a sudden I cannot connect my shuffle to my labtop through its usb port. It won't recognize it at all, it cannot be charged and I cant even attempt to put new songs on it. I am very angry with apple's service. I tried all things possible on their site and have continually requested repair service. I constantly get an unrecognized serial number every single time! I have copied it word for word and number for number over and over and over again. I can't even get one on one chat with a representative online because you guys don't recognize a serial number! This is just one big hassle and I don't feel like your service is very helpful at all. I love the Ipod and all it's accessories and other models but this is ridiculous. I even purchased the usb shuffle dock to try and see if it was my computer but it isn't. The dock doesnt recognize my shuffle either. I would appreciate it if Apple would just give me some kind of recognition and service me as a consumer please. I don't want to fill out some fax forms I don't even have a fax machine. Please help me figure out what's wrong or send me the things I need to send my shuffle in for repair thank you.

    Just a note, the limited warranty on the Ipod Shuffle is 1 year. So when I got invalid serial number when I entered the s/n I knew something was wrong. What I discovered was that the character that I thought was a zero was actually a "D" and the "5" was actually an "S". Once I entered the correct serial number the website told me how much time I have left under the warranty. They even knew the approximate date that I purchased it - even though I didn't register it. So use a magnifying glass, a younger set of eyes, whatever to make sure you're entering the correct S/N. Now I just have to figure out HOW to return it. Good Luck!

    The click wheel on my ipod mini wont respond at all. I cant reset it or do anything using the click wheel. I have tried updating my software and even completly restoring the ipod to no effect. I have no idea what could be wrong with it please help.

    make sure the hold button isn't on, and then hold the centre button and menu button down until you see the apple logo. if that fails, use the hold switch and flick it on and off until the apple logo appears.

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer          
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
