Im told firefox is installed on my nexus7 but it is not also flash player is not installing

I am trying to install firefox on my nexus7 google says its installed but it is not. also trying to install astro file manager am told its installed but it is not. also adobe flash wont install.

The Firefox page in the Play store app says Firefox is installed, but the Open button doesn't work?
Strange. Sounds like some kind of problem with Android. Have you tried completely powering off and restarting the device?

Connect the device to iTunes on your computer (you can do this with a USB cable or by wifi if your software is up to date). Select your device from the 'Device' list in iTunes (Top right corner in iTunes 11) and navigate to the 'Photos' tab. Ensure that the 'Sync Photos' checkbox is checked, select the items you want on your device and click apply/sync.

I have Adobe Flash Player Plugin for Firefox, but I'm still missing Flash Player?

So I have installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player Plugin for Firefox, and I'm able to watch youtube videos on my browser and other things that require flash player, but I have a disc that i got along with my Samsung monitor, and when I put it in my computer, it says that I do not infact have flash player. Also, when I try playing a game, DawnGate, theres a black box where a video should be, and it says that i do not have flash player, and it is required to watch these videos. I tried uninstalling, and I was unable to watch youtube, and when i reinstalled, I was able to watch youtube again, but that did not fix my problem. Is there something I'm missing? I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Odds are it's looking for the IE plugin: (A lot of software just assumes ALL Windows users are "slaves to Microsoft" and only have IE installed.)

This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

I haven't used my Adobe Captivate 4 for a bit, but when I try to start it up, I get the following message:
"The Flash Player for Microsoft Internet Explorer, is not installed or its an older version.
You will automatically be redirected to the Adobe website to download the latest Flash Player.
Please note that the Adobe Captivate cannot be used until the Flash Player is installed."
Even if I click the OK button and reinstall the Flash Player, I still get the same message, when I try to startup Captivate.
I have verified that I'm running Flash player 16,0,0,235, which is supposed to be the latest version.
I'm running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.

The problem is that your version of Captivate 4 needs to be updated with a patch that Adobe used to supply. (I don't have a link anymore to it.)
Captivate 4 was unable to recognise Flash Player versions beyond a certain number. It gives you a misleading error message that makes it look like you have the wrong version of Flash Player. But the real problem is that Captivate needs to be patched to recognise the latest FP versions.
I'm hoping that someone from the Adobe Captivate team will chime in here and give us another link to download the patch. Otherwise, you really might be forced to upgrade to a newer version of Cp. However, if your current projects are being built in Cp4, your next issue will be that if you purchase Cp8 it will NOT be able to upgrade your Cp4 projects. You'd need to download a trial version of Cp5 or 5.5, and do a two-step upgrade.

Firefox freezes when going to a site or page that requires Flash Player, such as YouTube. I have the most updated version of Flash. Is there a solution to this problem?

I'm having trouble visiting sites or pages that require Flash Player, Firefox will just freeze when they're partially loaded and it will stay frozen until I close Firefox. This will happen with any page that uses flash player. I can disable it, but then I can't access the content which requires Flash Player, have to use a different browser and I'd rather just use Firefox.

Is it correct that "Shockwave" (an Adobe plugin) is necessary for viewing YouTube etc.? If so why can we never find Previous versions for Firefox, when a BIG problem is found, as with new Adobe Flash Player 10.2 FF Plugin??

Firefox 3.6.23 having freezing and rebooting issues with Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin

Firefox 3.6.23 is experiencing constant freezing and rebooting issues with Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin, not sure if it is a conflict issue or not.
Since the update there had been no reported issues till today when the blue screen came up on me, this issue prior to plug in 11 had occurred at least 6 times, this issue only happens on firefox.
I do not wish to update since recent firefox browsers seem to have a lot of ongoing issues.

I have installed Firefox 4 Mobile on my N900 but I am not satisfied with it. How do I go back to the previous version?

While Firefox 4 is a suburb application, it does not play Flash Videos and there is no add-on for that, and therefore it prohibits me from watching videos on the various news sites I visit.
The previous version of Firefox Mobile supported a software version of Flash that was adequate for playing Flash videos, but I cannot find the previous version of Firefox anywhere on the web.
My question is: how can I install the previous version of Firefox mobile on my N900?

After closing firefox, if i re-open quite quickly i am told firefox is running, when, to me, it is obviously not.

on some occasions, i will close firefox by the top right corner 'close' other than minimise it, whilst i open another application, eg e-mail.
if i then open firefox in the usual way within a little while of closing it, i receive a message that a version of firefox is running, and that i should close it (?) and continue, or if not, then restart the system. if i do nothing for a while, the problem disappears in the sense that i can open firefox as normal.
i have another situation that occurs when i use ' clear recent history'. i sometimes receive a message to the effect that some script is still running, and it is therefore preventing the deletion
of history. the comment that shows is 'SCRIPT:chrome://browser/content/sanitize.js:133'.
this could indicate that there is something always running in the background, even though i have closed firefox, which may be causing both problems.

Flash video, .4fv files in particular won't play in Firefox - Any one have any suggesstions? I already updated my Flash player and plays in Internet Explorer and Chrome

If you look at this page in Firefox, http://www.vpi-corp.com/Empower-Demo/index-iframe.asp, you will see that the html portion of the page loads, and if you right click in the white area in the middle, the Flash is present as well. I can view this page correctly in Internet Explorer and Chrome. I have tried to export the movie as far back as Flash 7.0, but will not resolve. I have also been able to see this video for a while in Firefox, but then mysteriously went away. Any help would be appreciated. I suspect some patch to the programming on this page will be necessary.

Trying to start Firefox and it say already running,but it is not runnimg.

The message I get back is firefox is running and must be shut down or retsart system. I have had the system down snd off for over twelve houses and get the same message.

Firefox supposedly works on kindle fire, but it will not allow the download (any solution to this)?

When I try and download firefox mobile to my Kindle fire I receive the message that it is not compatable, and the download is refused by the Kindle. When looking at the page of supported tablets, firefox claims that it compatable. Is there a workaround?
