If you do not have a local copy of a song which you have purchased (i.e. it is available via iTunes in the Cloud), you may need to redownload it before you can transfer it to your device. You may find the following article helpful:

It means – more or less – that the job action (burning the disk) failed.
Sometimes this happens because the app doesn't like something about a background image that is to be used in the menu. If you have such an image, reduce its dimensions. If you don't have one, in Settings in the dialog, cick Add and then Cancel.Some people have found that that alone is enough to kickstart the job action.

I had been using Verbatim which had copied the music fine off the Real Player on my PC at school, but wouldn't work with I Tunes. Tried a Staples and an Office Depot CD-R , both of which did the job.

My computer a few days ago wouldn't start up, would just stay at the gray loading screen forever. So as a result I tried to reformat the hard drive and reinstall, but I can't reinstall, until I erase the hard drive, but when I try to erase the hard drive it says the erase failed due to an input/output error. What does this mean? What can I do to fix my computer?

The startup drive is failing, or there is some other internal hardware fault.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional — ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

This is the Rating - the equivalent of the rating that you would have for a film (PG, 12, 15 etc)
Britain does not have a TV rating system equivalent to this - like they have in America. TV shows you download with adult content may be rated caution. You can't then restrict access to them using itunes or device parental controls.
There is no way as far as I know in iTunes to change the rating. You have to do this with a third party tagging application.

If you are using an iphone, take it to your nearest apple shop if you have one available. However make sure your current phone info ie, applications have been stored on your computer. This happens automaticlly in the first phase of restoring your phone when it is retrieved from your phone. That way you don't lose your vital info and contacts once your phone has been restored. Basically do not opt for restore as a new phone on your return from the Apple shop. I had the same experience last Thursday.

Trying to update iPhone4 to 5.1 but getting an "ineligible to update" error. What does this mean?

I'm a very novice iPhone user but am tired of getting update requests to install newer apps. So I've tried to install the newer 5.1 iOS update from my current 4.2.1 version. However, I get an error that states I'm "ineligible" to update this version. I've heard terrible things about the 6.0 update and don't want to lose Google Maps. Can I still get the 5.1 version on my phone?

The 5.1 version is no longer signed by Apple, so you'd have to update to 6.1.2 at this point, or stay on 4.2.1
If it's only the maps that are holding you back from upgrading, well, they have gotten better since Day 1. Also, google came out with their own app and it's actually pretty slick and better than the one you have now.

I cannot download Google or Yahoo toolbars. It says Firefox could not install file there is an error 203, what does this mean and what can I do to fix it?

I have Firefox 3.6.16, I upgraded to Firefox 4 but there were many conflicts with Kaspersky so went back to 3.6.16 which is fine but I cannot get Google nor Yahoo toolbars to load. I have tried several times and the same thing happens. I have another computer that I did the same thing with but both toolbars loaded on it.
