Im trying to restore my phone
Randomly my phone turned off and I went on itunes to restore it and now my phone is stuck on the load screen and itunes says waiting for iphone do I just wait it out to see if it works ?
Iphone4 restore "waiting for iphone" for ever
The Phone drained to 0% and never came back again...
TROUBLESHOOTING LOG:
- The only way to activate ANY electricity is to start "iphone restore" on itune and let the automated process restore.
- During that restore automatic "turn-on" the "waiting for iphone" from itune loops forever! (apple logo with empty progress bar)
- I get past "prepare iphone"...
- I get past "waiting for iphone" (that instals the "apple mobile USB driver" from windows)...
- I get past verify to apple...
- Then I get STUCK on "waiting for iphone" again and for ever this time!?!
- All parts work fine (power, home, all buttons "not defective")
- Zero Physical damage
- 2 battery tested (1 new and 1 original)
- it Charges as I let the "jammed" logo image ON for a long time without being plugged.
- Itune latest version...
- Iswp download Manual and automatic equal result...
- Never jailbroken
- Host file empty
- PC Firewall off
- router Firewall off
- modem Firewall off
- All port suggested listening
- Ping to gs.apple.com never return (assume that it only replies to verification. not pings?)
- All power off/on DFU and button combinations have been tried with:
> It Powers off when holding both
> It gets recognize by windows and itune when holding home or enters "DFU")

i was trying to restore my phone and it was connected and everything and i went to restore it and after a couple of minutes something popped up saying it couldt restore. i looked to my phone screen and it looked as if the phone was going to restore but the screen never changed and after an hour, it still hasn't changed. i tired holding down the lock button but that didnt do anything. then i tried hooking it back up to itunes but itunes doesn't connect to it and my computer doesn't detect a connected device. I am trying to restore my phone, but when i go to do it on iTunes, it Updates to 4.3.3 however everytime the 2 and a half hour update finishes, it FAILS. So the update fails, and the restore fails. Its happened 4 ties.

Somebody told me this is hardware problem, I make change my battery and charging connector too.

I am in Saudi Arabia so I don’t have any nearest store of Apple.. even Saudi Is Big Consumer of IPhone

You could follow the instructions in the support document that you linked from. There is a section regarding the passcode and the inability to use it or enter it. However, you may encounter more issues since you cannot use the screen.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you have no service on the iPhone. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There is one step you did not mention trying that i think is worth trying.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.

Loading the latest OS on my Iphone 4 caused the phone to freeze and stop working. I get error message 4013 when trying to restore the phone.

Check USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

plug cable into computer not phone
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.

I delted an app by mistake. when i tried to restore my phone from icloud I need an older backup. How long are they kept?? I'd like to get this app and it's contents back.
thanksApple states that it keeps your last 3 iCloud backups, which would only go back a few days if you back up daily. Also, apps are not stored in the backup, only your app data is. The backup simply notes which apps were on your phone when it was backed up, then downloads them from the App store when you restore the backup. If the app is no longer available in the App store, it will not be restored to the phone when you restore the backup.

Particularly:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.
You could just update or uninstall the security software on your computer and then test again. -

You could order the Full Retail Version of OS X (Black DVD with a silver X on it). Regarding always starting up in Open Firmware, in this thread a bloke had the same problem until he disconnected his peripherals before restarting. See if the entire thread helps:
