If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.

what do i do if my internet is wep and i need it to be wpa2 because my ipod touch 4th gen connects to the internet but when i click on safari or itunes it says safari cannot open the page because its not connected to the internet. i have contacted apple support and they said to change from wep to wpa2 but when i change it to wpa2 and type in password and connect on my laptop it says the saved setting on this computer for the network do not match the require ments of the network
My 2nd gen works fine with WPA2 and AES encryption.
You may need to go back and start over. Reset the router back to factory defaults, log on as the admin, set up security, DHCP, and make sure the IP address pool has enough IP addresses to lease to ALL of the computers/devices that will connect to that the router. -
I've had my IPad 3 for awhile and had no problems with it. The other day I went to connect to my wi-fi and it told me could not connect to network. It recognizes my wi-fi but won't connect. I have shut off my wi-fi and still the same problem. Today I reset my ipad back to factory and when I get to the wifi setup I still get unable to join the network. What is wrong
Dont use a password to connect the ipad and try if unable to join happens try another network. After that it is a repair. Now most likely it is the password on router. typically you access your router with http://192.168.1.1/ BUT it may be different if you changed it or your router uses different one.

Why do my songs and mps disappear with a exclamation mark when I click on them on ITunes?
I have ITunes downloaded to my PC. I also have an IPad and Ipod. Until recently I was able to play my Mp3s and whatever I had downloaded on ITunes from teleconferences and sync them without problem on both devices. Lately however, whenever I click on a song (on my PC ITunes) I immediately get an exclamation mark and a window that asks me if I want to "locate file" then the statement that song "original file cannot be located".
Many of these downloaded talks that have disappeared. (They were downloaded legally by the way by (saving link as.. and on ITune go to File, ad file to librairy. I have had them for 2 or 3 years and don't understand why they are rendered unusable all of a sudden. Can someone help me?
Thank you.There are a number of ways that the files could have been moved, or that could trigger iTunes into looking in the wrong place. Select a broken track, press CTRL+I to Get Info, click No when asked to locate the file and look at the location on the summary tab. Where is the relevant file really located. If you post back both paths I may have a simple solution, otherwise I have a script that can usually find the "missing" files and reconnect iTunes to them.

I am trying to restore my phone, but when i go to do it on iTunes, it Updates to 4.3.3 however everytime the 2 and a half hour update finishes, it FAILS. So the update fails, and the restore fails. Its happened 4 ties.
Im trying to restore my phone, because it says my memory is full when its not and an online solution says to restore. I cant restore because it wont let me update.
Im so frustrated, i cant take any pictures, download any music or apps, and its really getting me down. Please can someone help.This error generally indicates a hardware failure. Bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

My touch screen is not responding, I have reset the phone, plugged into different charger and tried to update it to itunes but they will not connect because I cannot put my passcode in, HELP please!

So I keep trying to sync music to my iPhone from iTunes, and whenever I select the album the sync goes by really fast and nothing goes onto my phone. Then when I click "On this iPhone" it shows the songs, but they're grey, and I can't click on them. Help?
Ok, sorry. And yes, I just restored my iPhone as new and tried to put all the songs on there before I even restored with my previous backup, but it still does the same thing... even when I just checked the option to sync only "selected music or videos". How's that possible?
P.S. After I tried syncing with checked songs only, nothing showed up under Music on my phone and this message popped up in iTunes: "The iPhone "..." could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish." If you could, please tell me what that means, thanks. -
I am trying to update ipod touch from ios 4.3.2 to ios 6.1.3. I have it connected to my computer, and the summary in itunes indicates the update is available. However, when I click "update", it opens Windows Explorer and waits for a file name to open.
I am not at that computer now, but I did check via windows update & with the check updates menu choice in the itunes program - neither indicated a newer version of itunes is available. (it is a vista computer).
The itunes software on the computer displays my ipod & the current ios (4.3.2), and indicates a newer ios is available (6.1.3). When I choose "update", I am taken to Windows Exploer and prompted to choose a file to open. it is as if the "update" button has the incorrect code attached to it.
The ipod is working, but there are several app I would like to install, but I can't with the current ooperating system. -

You will probably want to download the newest version of iTunes (iTunes 11.1) directly from Apple and install it on your computer if you are having issues updating. The link for the download can be found here:

New update are listed on the app icon. When I click update all I'm prompted to enter password. When I do, the progress bars go away and nothing gets updated. Tried logging out, reset iPad, and nothing seems to work. Keeps asking me to enter password.
I've been having the same problem for days and just solved it. Tried going to Apple ID and had all the same problems you did in the second paragraph. I signed out with my current username on the ipad under settings--->store and signed back in with my oldest apple id and password. Now the apps don't ask for a password to upgrade. I too had a username that wasn't an email address and had to change to one that was at some point. That's what caused the problems. Hope this can work for you.
