My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

I have Find my Phone enabled on iphone and ipod. Could a possible thief switch off location services to stop it being tracked? If so, an update must place the location services and icloud into the restrictions menu to be protected by the pin to stop it being turned off, surely????
Now find a way of stopping the thief removing the SIM, or simply turning off the phone or restoring it.
The "Find" feature is useful if you mislay the phone, but not usually of value if the phone is stolen. -
When I use Home Sharing, I can see the library I want to copy under Shared, but I can't get it save on the computer under the regular library. I go to edit and "select all" but there is no import button that is in the right hand corner. Also, it will not let me click and drag the music. How do I get it from one computer to the other?
Since both computers are connected via the network, you could simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from one computer to another via the network.
If both computers are running Windows, use the Easy File Transfer Utility built into Windows to move iTunes and all other user media/data. -
.When installing a CD/album into my library some of the tracks get separated away from the main group of tracks. I try to click and drag the stragglers to the main group but it doesn't work. My laptop is using Windows 8. My old XP laptop didn't have this problem. I'm not sure if that has any thing to do with it. Any ideas would be appreciated. It's more of an irritation than a problem but if it can be solved, it would be a good thing. Thanks! Paul

If I understand correctly, it sounds like iTunes is not grouping the songs from a particular CD together. The cause could be something as minor as a misspelling or slight variations. For more information, see the following resource:

Cant import TGA in Flash CS4 by clicking and dragging

It seems that my new computer has a weird bug to it...I have the Master Collection CS4 installed and Acdesee installed on my system, it seems that I am unable to click and drag a TGA file created in Photoshop CS4 and put them on the stage in Flash. I am able to do File>Import but i woudl rather click and drag. Anyone has any suggestions?

yes importing does work. but not the clicking and dragging a tga. which is really weird. I work only with TGA cuz I need the alpha, Im workding if Acdesee does something to the TGA file format.... -
I try to click and drag music from my music from Itunes into my story line and nothing happens. it won't move into the story line

BTW can we ad screen capture videos to posts? The only button I have on the toolbar of these posts is an image icon and the video icon appears greyed out. Is there any method I need to resort to to make this icon active?

I have created a site with iWeb. I have replaced the iWeb Nav bar with a vertical one I made myself. Problem is, my top button disables itself (and the animation doesn't work) if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area (indicated by a blue rectangle). I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest of my site is pushed down the page. Don't know what to do about this. I don't know how to bring the rest of the page up without dragging it also into the designated nav bar area. Also, by doing this, is it affecting my site in ant way? see my site here at www.steveburrowsimages.com

One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...

I am unable to add some songs to a playlist. There is a red circle with a line diagnonally through it that appears when I click and drag to the new playlist.
That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

when I click and drag itunes to an external harddrive all I get is a shortcut an icon to itunes not the files the music to itunes
I am running windows xp home editionI had this problem once and in my case it happenned with music I had not purchased through itunes and also to music that stored in icloud. Once I brought that music off icloud and into my laptop it resolved most of the issue.

Track pad wont click and drag help?
this may not be the right place but for some reason my track pad just randomly quit working when it comes to click and drag. i updated the software because i read one correct this issue but its still happening. can anyone help? do i need to take it to a mac store?

I see that your location is on the list. It's possible that you could contact Apple directly and be referred to an Apple Authorized Service Provider who could diagnose what is wrong.
In the meantime, you could always make a good backup and then reinstall the OS from disc and see if this cures the problem.
If you really feel this is software rather than hardware, it might be worth posting your question in the Snow Leopard forum where all the software experts are. It may be a simple matter of trashing a .plist or something like that.

I can't import any files from itunes... the click and drag isn't working...
I've tried clicking and dragging my mp3 from the desktop, from the finder, and straight from itunes, but i can't get it to be in garageband... at all...
I feel like i'm doing the same thing i was doing even just earlier today, but it isn't working anymore...Is your mp3 maybe called .MP3? Then try to change it to lowercase.

Hi, first time poster, also new to MacBook.
I started using iMovie and all was well. However recently I am not able to click and drag clips into the project window...very odd... everything else appears to work...I can copy and paste which has other issues which can be avoided by dragging..

Drag 'n drop of clips can sometimes have a problem with timing delays in deactivating the Event window and activating the Project window for receipt of the dropped content. Try using the "Add Selection" or delay dropping the content until the Project window is fully activated. If this doesn't work, then you may have an installation, plist, or similar problem. -

Can insert into timeline from Source Window but can't drag from source window.
Can cut and paste within timeline.
Restarting cs5 doesn`t help, but restarting computer solves problem for a while.
Tried many mouses, but that didn`t help.

In the Project Panel a left click highlights the asset but ignores the drag.
In the timeline, a left click highlights the panel and when I try to drag it gives a flicker but that's all.
I can cut and paste in the timeline.
A restart of CS5 has no effect. Restarting the computer solves the problem for a while.
Four different mouses--same problem.
