Imac 24inch not showing menus in firmware

i will try to explain. when i press the ALT button for choosing bootin system there is no any picture comes, i meant white screen appears but there is no any menu_icon on screen. but mouse is there! when i try to open it in target mode there is no any firewire icon on screen <only white screen>. im trying to open it from DVD with C key not booting! im trying to open it from another intel 24 inch imac but nothing happens. i tried to open it with altoption+shiftback_delete even this command not worked.
is there any other command that i dont know? why icon menus not appear???
is there any software or any other stuff to solve this problem?

Here are the pictures. This is right after a fresh install, nothing has been done. I'm using MDT 2010 to manage the installation. It's not a precreated image. I"m going to try installing Windows normally without MDT right now.

you can transfer the music with MediaGo, this is what I do
on a PC > open the album with WindowsMediaPlayer > look for the album info > then update the album info > this should allow you to have the correct album art > now transfer the music either through MediaGo or just drag and drop the folder

IMac does not show open windows in Mission Control

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion on my 2008 iMac 24", I've had a problem in Mission Control where the Desktop that the OS boots into will not show a preview of any windows open in that desktop. I have a new 2012 MacBook Air that does not have this problem. I thought the 10.8.1 update might fix it but no luck. Originally, I upgraded from Snow Leopard but eventually did a clean install and manually restored documents so that all the preferences/system files would be fresh, but still no luck.
A screenshot of what I mean is attached. I have FF open in desktop 1, but it does not show at the top, whereas all other desktops show window previews.
Has anyone else had this problem and have you managed to fix it?

I dont use the Trackpad, just a mouse. Moments after I typed it, the answer was suggested already:
CTRL+Mission Control button does exactly what I want.
Is it possible to reconfigure this shortcut to the Snow Leopard way? (Pushing and holding the mouse button on an app in the dock for the same results)

Camera Raw Defaults & Presets not showing menus (BRIDGE)

I just upgraded to a new version of PS CS3 & Bridge and the option to apply Presets, or to Apply Camera Raw Defaults is not showing when I right click a file in Bridge. It also doesnt show up in the menu. I need to be able to Batch process hundreds of photos at a time and then convert them to Tif formats. I used to be able to do this by applying my Adobe Camera Defaults to many images at once. How do I do this now????
I am running Bridge 2.0.0975 and PS 10. Help!! This is critical for me!!!

Agreed. I have gigabytes of disk space packed full of iso's, dmgs, and zips for
(almost) all of the software I've installed on my computers. It's a pain to
manage sometimes, but I know I can go back and reinstall PS7 (for instance) if I
need to even though I have no clue where the CD is at. It's just one part of my
configuration management and backup strategy. I don't have a sysadmin to take
care of this kind of thing for me any more, unfortunately, so I have to do it
myself.
This plan also has the advantage that I don't have to be online to download
older versions from a vendors site (if it's even available) or go searching for
a seeded torrent (if it's not).
I'm not saying this approach is good for every one or even good for anyone but
me, but it is a perfectly valid way of doing things.

If Klaus1's suggestion doesn't fix it, use the key combo shift + option + command + 8. That toggles between regular display mode and black/white mode in Universal Access.

Blue Ray disk created using premiere 10 does not show menus

I have a video project with a main menu and 5 scene menus. I burn the project (using premiere Elements 10) to a Blue-ray disc using preset H.264 1920x1080i PAL Dolby with quality option set to "Fit Contents to available space" . The software happily creates the disc with 17.6GB of data (main stream, 00000.m2ts is 18,413,568 KB (17.5GB) and 6 small streams for main & scene menus.
However, when this disc is reinserted into the drive, it does not automatically start with the main menu.
If I burn the same project to a DVD with PAL_Widescreen_DolbyDVD preset with quality option set to "Fit Contents to available space", it creates the DVD which, when reinserted into the drive, starts automatically with the main menu.
The environment is Wndows 7 64bit with SONY BD RW BWU-500S ATA Device .
What do I need to do to get the Blue Ray disc to start with the main menu?

The VCL player description is for 2.0.8, 32 bit, the latest non beta version at the time (August 2013). But the principles should hold up in later versions of the VCL Player.

Finder in new iMac does not show wife's iMac, but hers shows mine. Why?

Purchased new iMac Retina, and set up on local network. Wife's older iMac can see mine in finder, but not vice versa. Both using Yosemite. What have I done wrong?

Safari on the iMac is not showing flash items

Some sites are not loading up videos and soundcloud.com is informing me that Safari has a flash blocker installed.
This is not the case - I have all latest versions of every software and I have reset safari and emptied this and that.
Does anyone have a solution or is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Just in case, check Safari > Preferences > Extensions. The ClickToFlash extension prevents Flash content from loading.

IMac will not boot up. Need to transfer data iMac (2006) iMac (2009)

I have an iMac (built/sold late 2006 -400 Firewire) and an iMac (built/sold late 2009 - 800 Firewire).
I have connected computers with a 400 to 800 Firewire cable.
The old iMac will not boot to desktop. It was suggested to hold down the "T" key and then power up the iMac. This was done and the old iMac shows a "Y" shaped icon that appears to be a Firewire icon. The old iMac does not show up on the desktop of the new iMac.
I would like to transfer data from the old iMac to the newer one. Suggestions ?

Which is the way it has to be done. The old computer's hard drive will mount on the new computer.
To use FireWire target disk mode
Make sure that the target computer is turned off.
If you are using an Apple portable computer such as a PowerBook or MacBook as the target computer, plug in its AC power adapter.
Use a FireWire cable to connect the target computer to a host computer. The host computer can be powered on.
Start up the target computer and immediately press and hold down the T key until the FireWire icon appears. The hard disk of the target computer should become available to the host computer and will likely appear on desktop. (If the target computer is running Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, you can also open System Preferences, choose Startup Disk, and click Target Disk Mode. Restart the computer and it will start up in Target Disk Mode.)
When you are finished copying files, locate the target computer's hard disk icon on the desktop of the host computer and drag it to the Trash or choose Eject (or Put Away) from the File menu.
Press the target computer's power button to turn it off.
Unplug the FireWire cable.

The terms are Target and Host. The old iMac is the Target, the new one is the Host.

Images with straight lines are distorting (round) on PSCC on iMAC but not on MacBook or second iMAC?

Images are distoring (rounding) on Photoshop CC on my iMAC but same NEF file on MacBook Air or our second IMac do not show distortion. On preview, the image appears normal. Is there a way to repair PS CC or does it need to be reloaded? How can it be repaired or reloaded.

You have some lens correction enabled or a graphics hardware acceleration issue. nothing that a reinstall would fix. Since you haven't provided any relevant exact technical info, nobody can say more.

Your signature says you are using 10.6.8: this is not compliant with iCloud and does not have the Preference Pane for it. Lioin 10.7.2 is required for full functions.
You can set Mail up manually to access an iCloud account you have migrated from MobileMe or started on another device:

Movie rentals that I downloaded onto iMac with Lion to do not show up on ATV 2 in menu for computers. Purchased movies show up just fine. What to do or look for?

I have an imac that is running lion and an Apple TV generation 2. I have rented a movie from itunes and it shows up on my imac in Itunes under a rental icon, and will play fine on my computer. However, it does not show up as choice to play on my apple tv. I have homesharing enabled and everything else works fine including purchased movies that are on my imac, but no where does it show rental movies.
What do I look for? What do I do to play the rental movie on my apple tv 2?

Answer to my own question:
Wait until the downloaded rental has completed its download to the imac. This took a long time for me, since it was part of several things that I was downloading at the same time.
Finally, it showed up on my apple tv. Interestingly, I was able to watch much of the movie on my iMac before the movie finished its download and was available to the ATV 2.

So frustrated. Movies in my iMac's iTunes do not show up on my Apple TV(1st Gen) in the Shared Movie area. I've done the Media Type fix to "movie." I've re-started and re-booted and changed the Apple TV from ethernet to wireless and re-connected iTunes. Renamed the library. Everything's up to date. Grrr.

I have now restored Factory Settings on the Apple TV. Looked promising until iTunes hangs everytime I tried to enter the podcast page of the sync options. And I get errors that my newest movies, created in Final Cut Pro X with the Share with 720p Apple Devices export settings are not compatible with Apple TV.

I have a mid-2010 iMac and just purchased a 2TB TC, I just found out that it can't join existing wireless network with new AC standard so attached to iMac via ethernet with TC's wifi turned off. How do i access TC now? not showing up in disk utility or on desktop. It is working fine with TM. My cheeper seagate drives etc kept crashing, so i didnt trust cheeper back up options anymore. Connected those drives to TM via firewire and could see the drives and access them.
Also, I didn't want to bridge TC with my new fios router that I paid 100 dollars for, to get N speed and also paying 10 dollars more a month for fast speed. I heard that bridging slows down everything and then there can be port issues with mail etc. I connect to the internet via airport only and it is pretty fast. Getting over 50mbs downloads and over 30mbs uploads. Plus everything in my home it connected to my fios router, airport express for music streaming, two apple tvs, vuezone camer system. I really didn't want to monkey around too much with my system. But are there other options to connect the new TC. Can't find info anywhere for this and called apple who gave me the info above. after hanging up, i see that i cant access my TC and I am wondering if i would have to reset it to turn wifi on again to make changes to the drive, turn off blinking light or repair it in disk utility if it should become corrupted.
For other with similar issues i did solve some other problems: when i connected it to my ethernet port on my iMac wifi stopped working. Found that I had to turn off the ethernet in the system>network screen, but then TM didn't see the TC so i restarted after changes and then it saw it.
Now a rant. I can't believe in this wireless age that Apple would make a product that cant join a wireless net work. The apple rep said i could return it and look for the previous TC that would join an existing wireless network. Are we going backwards?

Ok... it is getting a bit clearer but there are still some questions.
I connect to the internet via airport only and it is pretty fast.
I was assuming airport in this statement in your first post meant the TC or the Express.. but I now realise we are still in the mass confusion stage where apple calls everything wireless an airport. So what you mean is the airport internal card of the computer??

I think this is mistaken.
Putting the TC in bridge mode plugged into your FIOS will not slow the network.. nor will it cause mail or port issues.. in bridge the TC is just a fancy WAP and switch plus the network hard drive.
If the computer is close it will be faster than the FIOS.
You can run both wireless networks with different names.. so it is clear which is which. But you can also setup roaming so the computers themselves pick which is the best wireless.
I tried extending the wireless net work and tried joining wireless network, but the TC kept crashing and I had to keep resetting the TC. the Apple support person said these, extend wireless network and joint wireless network, are no longer a connection option with the new TC because of the new AC protocol.

You cannot extend to a non-apple wireless router.
You cannot use join a wireless network because when you do the ethernet ports will be cut off.
But that has not changed.. I don't think Apple support is correct.. there has been no change with the AC model.. it is simply a fact that apple routers do not work in join wireless mode other than as a dumb client. The same applies to AC as to the earlier version.. but I have asked another person to check this.
Join in the express is the only apple router that still allows an ethernet connection.
For now you best use of the TC is bridged to the FIOS. Wireless you can sort out between several options.
