IMac Buffering Problems

Recently my iMac has started to have problems with videos because it never used to buffer but now all it does is take it's time buffering videos, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Contact your ISP.  You need to confirm that the problem is not coming from their end.

Some layers in Photoshop cannot be seen, is this a buffering problem?

Maybe these layers' visibility has been disabled. That'll be the case if there's a space where there normally is an eye to the left of a layer name in Layers panel. Click the space/eye to toggle visibility.

  • Buffering Problem?

9-10 seconds into every song, it appears there is a buffering problem as the song doesn't really skip as much as it garbles. I have updated audio drivers, Active X, deselected sound enhancer, tried small-med-large streaming buffer size, removed Musicmatch and disabled WMP playback. If anything, the problem intensified after installing updates? Any feedback?

  • MIRO document Number range buffering problem

    Dear all,
My MIRO document number is not following the sequence. if my first 5 numbers come in a sequence, then the next 5 numbers are not coming in between. Instead, the next 5 numbers are coming. It might be due to number range buffering problem. How to find the number range object  for  MIRO document number range?
    How to solve this?
    Please suggest.
    I will award full points.
    Thanks & Regards,
    AR

    Hii,
You can search the Number Range object in T-Code: SNRO
The Number Range object for Invoice document is RE_BELEG
Go the Change Mode of the Number Range Object in SNRO, remove the No of Numbers of Buffers (by default it will be 10).
    This will resolve your issue.

Hi, Does this happen after you have restarted your system?
Do both of your browsers see the Flash logo animation here? If so then Flash Player is working correctly. I don't use Tree so am not familiar with it. Perhaps someone else will post to your thread with more info.

  • Audio Buffering problem

    Hi,
I am trying play a real time audio received from server. I am using custom DataSource and sourcestream to cretae player and I observed that the when the data is given to the player through the read method player is not playing the data until it reaches 2 secs(approx). Is there any to avoid this buffering?
Other observations are when the data is played from a input stream it playing iwthout any buffering. So, i it a bug or behavior? Please confirm so that we can decide on the way forward.
    Thanks

Downloaded the free 900+mb Grey's Anatomy season
    finale.
Have many other video's from iTunes, most paid for.
They play fine, no out of sync, no apparent video
    buffering problem.
This episode is, audio wise, out of sync with the
video output and the video seems as if it is
skipping, or buffering making a distorted, skipping
    video.
    Very hard to digest.
I set all components (updated DirectX, Disabled 3D,
set GDI only, in system made sure DMA is on, etc.)
and since all other iTunes' video's play back
fine, I am wondering what else there may be to do
short of redownloading the vidoe which I may not be
    able to do.

I also regressed to iTunes 6.0.5 to determine that the 900+ mb m4v file for Greys Anatomy seems in fact corrupted.
Other iTunes tv shows play fine in both version 7 and 6.0.5.
Grey's Anatomy video stutters and the voice is out of sync with the video.
What is left for me to do?
Apparently I can not re download the m4v file as only one download is allowed. And it took several hours to download...
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Severe buffering problems when streaming

In the past couple of days, I have begun experiencing severe buffering problems when streaming video on the web. The video plays for like 6 seconds and then it pauses for like 6 seconds and continues this pattern over and over. This problem occurs regardless of which web browser I am using. I know the problem is not caused by the internet connection because I did a speed test and it is currently operating at 12mbps.  I have tried streaming video on another computer and it worked fine.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • Imac display problem, the resolution seems to be unusual, top bar and all folders on the desktop background is off the screen

Need help with 21" imac display problem. The resolution seems to be unsual, everything on the desktop background goes off the screen. The resolution is set at 1920 x 1080

Quit the game and restart the iPad.
To quit the game - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I have problem with recently with playing DVDs on my iMac. the problem only with DVDs, please anybody can help me solve this problem?

Get a lens cleaner disc. One with brushes and try that. CDs and DVDs use different lenses, so since CDs load and play, I strongly suspect a dirty lens.

  • Lovefilm buffering problem

Hi – can anyone help me please? I had BT Infinity 2 unlimited installed about two weeks ago and it’s great for internet surfing as I’m getting an average of 20 - 30mbps. However when I watch Lovefilm on my Sony blu-ray player I’m getting buffering problems. The player displays the amount of mbps and it seems to go up and down wildly – from 30mbps down to about 0.5 when everything grinds to a halt. After a short time the mbps rate goes up and the film continues. It only happens during busy times, with Sunday afternoon/evening being the worst. I’ve tried using an ethernet cable to connect to the home hub but that hasn’t really helped, nor has switching it (the hub) off and on again. A friend has suggested buying a better router but I would’ve thought the BT kit would be ok. Any help/advice appreciated!

Thanks for the advice. The Glasnost test came back all clear and the details are here: http://loki09.mpi-sws.mpg.de//bb//glasnost.php?protocol1=FlashVideo&protocol2=control%20flow&port=80...
As you suggest, I'll try testing the download speed when the blu-ray player slows down to see if it's the player itself that's causing the issue - though I've checked the firmware and everything is up to date.

  • Netflix buffering problem resolved.

My Netflix/ Apple TV  downloading of movies was buffering for 15 seconds or so, every minute . It was a distance problem between the wifi modem and the AppleTV connected to my TV. My Imac and wifi modem were located upstairs at the front of the house. My Apple TV, and TV, were located downstairs at the rear of the house. I could watch Netflix without buffering on my Imac but on my TV it was almost hopeless.      Solution :  I unplugged all modem connections from my Imac. I took the modem downstairs and plugged it into the telephone line in an adjacent room to my Apple TV, with one plaster wall with door opening separating the modem and Apple TV/TV. When I logged into Netflix on the Imac it went to a associate site which asked me to confirm my e-m address for security puposes and that site then told me that it had detected changes to my settings and had reset them. I now have no buffering whatsoever, the movies are of an excellent clarity. My Imac works perfectly with the wifi modem remote from it, and the Netflix movies downloads without a single pause, with the modem located in close proximity.

Its the DNS, use google's dns in the apple settings, 8.8.8.8.
Use a hard wire cat 6 Ethernet cable. Forget all these wireless adapters, network bridges, and other elusive promises to do away with your Ethernet cables.
I get 127mbps ( with hard wire, and have tried numerous adapters and they are nowhere close.
    HOWEVER!!
No matter how fast your connection is, you would need to know at what speeds apple's servers are limited at? What is their top speed per capita (apple tv)?
I have also noticed that some titles (Foreign movies and older movies) buffer (stop and start), especially on previews, no matter what your internet speed is.
This leads me to think that said titles have a lower priority.
I have also noticed that Netflix as well as Apple, in high traffic hours, loses quality (1920x1080) drops to something less.
This ESPECIALLY noticeable on a 10 bit true color panel (sony XBR900A and B), when blacks start pixelating.
Moral of the story, don't put 50 octane gas in a Ferrari, when it requires 100 octane gas.
Don't expect a 4k upscaler in a tv to work properly when the signal is poor.

  • IMac printing problem with HP Photosmart 7150

I've just bought a 27 inch iMac and I'm having problems printing out of iPhoto 9. I select for eg, 4 X photos per page and it prints about 10% of the page before spitting it out. I've downloaded the latest driver for my HP Photosmart 7150 printer (Gutenprint v5.2.5) but still no good.
The print monitor window always says it is printing Page 1 7%. Weird.
    Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
    Dan

I've got the same problem on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and Gutenprint 5.2.5 when printing on the 7150 - it prints about 10% (and skewed at that) and spits out the page. This occurs when printing from any app.
I am only able to print in draft mode which is not suitable for anything I need to do.
I realize this printer is no longer officially supported, but any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Mike.
