Imac calendar doesn't display Calendar inspector as advertised

Advertized Version
What happens to my inspector I assume get info is the inspector

Take a look in Settings/General/Date & Time.
Is it set to automatic?  Is the time zone correct?
If set to automatic, try unsetting it and give it the correct date & time and see if that fixes the problem.  It should work "automatically", though, but this will at least narrow down the problem.

    :S,
Sorry, missed that fact. My memory is good, but short.
Try moving the "Calendar Cache" file to your Desktop. Quit iCal, and find the "Calendar Cache" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars. Move that file to your Desktop. After that, (I remember that I recommended this before), as long as you are moving files to the Desktop, repeat the plist removal procedure once again, log out/in or restart.
You should also consider removing the "To Do's" from Mail before restarting iCal. When you open iCal turn off "Show Birthdays calendar" in iCal>Preferences...>General.
Are you syncing any data? If so, what method(s) are you using?

  • Visual Calendar doesn't display in IE or Netscape

I have Dreamweaver's php visual calendar on my web page. It
displays fine in Firefox, but doesn't show at all in IE7 or
Netscape. I haven't uploaded the page to a server, just running it
on my computer. Does anyone know why it doesn't display in the NS
    or IE?
Also, I'm not able to run the administrator functions as
outlined in Dreamweaver's info about the calendar. When I type in
c://my-site/TDE_Vcalendar/admin in the location bar, I get an index
listing of the folder, but no prompt to enter a user name and
    password.

    Is there a setting in
    > NS that I'm missing that will allow php files to run?
NS doesn't "run" PHP files, the server does, the server will
send HTML to the browser and the browser interprets it, including
pulling images, JavaScript and CSS files and executing any
JavaScript. If the calendar isn't showing up, then there is either
an issue with way the calendar is set up, or the calendar doesn't
    support Netscape.
In your original post, you say that you have "Dreamweaver's
php visual calendar on my web page". There is no Dreamweaver php
visual calendar that comes with Dreamweaver. Are you perhaps using
an extension, if so, please state which one, and where you got it.
You have have to go to the developer's site for support.
Beyond that you'll need to post a link to your page and if
anyone using Netscape 7.2 may drop by. I've not used any version of
Netscape since Firefox came out, plus it is no longer developed,
and the version you're talking about is even 2 versions older than
the last one released. so do you really need to worry about it?

  • The calendar app doesn't display calendar

The calendar app on my macbook pro used to open  to a calendar when I clicked on the icon.  Suddenly, today no calendar appears when i click on the icon.  Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

    Bigbandss,
Paste this text ~/Library into the Finder Menu>Go>Go to Folder...window and select "Go." This will open the Users Library Folder.
Then open the Calendars Folder which is in that Library Folder, and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop.
Next open the Preferences Folder in that same Library Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop.
Log out/in or restart and open Calendar.

  • Af:InputDate - Calendar datepicker doesn't display Buddhist Era-based year

I use jDeveloper 11g R2 (11.1.2.0.0) and found that calendar datepicker doesn't display the Thai Buddhist calendar year correctly. (It shows gregorian year.)
I found Oracle has just released version 11.1.1.6 which support the Thai Buddhist calendar datepicker.
I am not sure what I should do? Install version 11.1.1.6? I am afraid there may be other impacts because we already developed lots of stuffs in version 11.1.2.0.0 already.
    Any suggestion?

    Hi,
You were right the feature is not included into the 11.1.2.x code line. I've requested the backport. I'd suggest that if you can hold up a bit, most likely the upcoming 11gR2 release might contain the feature. However if you have time constraints where you cannot wait, you might need to go to 11.1.1.6.0.
Are you using facelets on your current 11.1.2.x application?

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

  • After 10.8.2 update, calendar no longer displays Birthdays

I have a mid-2009 MBP that I've upgraded to Mountain Lion about a month ago.  Love it.  This is really the first problem I've felt compelled to post to the forums.  Admittedly, it's not very important, but it's bugging me that I can't get it to work.
The reason I noticed this is because I have Geektool running, and one of the scripts I wrote (via iCalBuddy) is to display upcoming birthdays on my desktop.  Now, my Lion machine is displaying the birthdays and my Mountain Lion is not.  Further investigation shows that iCal (or rather, Calendar) on the MBP has the "Birthdays" subscription, but there are no birthdays in it.  Checking and double-checking Contacts shows that I DO have contacts with birthdays, and iCloud also shows the Birthdays subscription, complete with upcoming dates.  As do my Lion machine, iPad, and iPhone.  So, I'm positive the data exists and is being synchronized, but Mountain Lion doesn't display it.
iCalBuddy (command line access to iCal database - extremely cool, by the way) returns nothing when I try to search the Birthdays calendar.
I've tried the common things I've read via Google searches, detailed here:
    - Quit and restarted both Contacts and Calendar (and Geektool and FantastiCal).
    - Un-checked "Birthdays" in the Calendar, unchecked "Show Birthday Calendar" in Calendar preferences; quit and restarted Calendar, turned Birthdays back on.
    - Deleted .plist files for iCal and AddressBook in ~/Library/Preferences
    - Rebooted (even though this ain't Windows)
    - Deleted and re-added the "Birthday" field in Contacts
I'm kinda out of ideas at this point.  Since it was working just fine before the update, doesn't work after, but still works fine on every other device, I have to start believing that there's a bug in this patch.  Or is there something else I'm missing?
    Thanks for reading!

    Hey Markwoody,
Wow! That definitely sounds frustrating, but good job so far isolating and troubleshooting the issue. We have a few more steps that we can try in an attempt to resolve this issue:
First, it sounds like you have tried restarting your phone. Let’s try a reset instead:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht201559
    How to reset
    - You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
    - To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue persists, we’ll want to restore your device to factory settings and test once more. You can backup your device, but be sure to restore it as new first for isolation purposes, as restoring a backup can sometimes restore the same issues that you were experiencing before.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Yosemite calendar does not display holidays

I've got a new Retina 5K running OX 10 Yosemite v. 10.10.1. I have the boxes checked to display both birthdays and holidays in Calendar. The birthday calendar displays, but the holidays calendar does not.
When I set the computer up, I first set Calendar up to Sync to Office 365. I abandoned that approach and now Calendar>Preferences>Accounts shows iCloud.
System Preferences shows region as US and Calendar as Gregorian.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Kenneth,
I'm in the UK and have UK Holidays showing in Calendar, in iCloud on my main account.
To test, I created a New User on the same Mac and like you, ticking "Show Holidays Calendar" revealed nothing.
It's a bug. Thankfully after a bit of searching I found the solution, thanks to ennio99 solution.
    Solution:
Quick answer: Change your preferred language to British English, log out and in and try again.
I must have done this at some point and forgot.
    Long answer:
First un-tick Show Holidays Calendar and quit Calendar.
Make sure your region is set to the UK:
    System Preferences>Language & Region>Region=United Kingdom
    Next:
    Preferences>Language & Region>Preferred Language = 'English' - Primary
Click the + (Plus) button at the bottom of Preferred Languages
Select British English. It might be hard to spot, but it's there.
Make sure British English is now - Primary and at the top of the list.
Restart your Mac or log out and back in.
Open Calendar, tick the box again, the UK Holiday calendar should appear! At least, it did for me on my test account.
    iCloud:
If you use iCloud, you can move the UK Holiday Calendar to iCloud by Right Clicking on it and selecting Get Info.
    Change the location to iCloud.
It will then move up to the iCloud Calendars.
What is strange though, despite then being part of iCloud, it doesn't appear in Calendar on iCloud.com. It probably still syncs to your other devices though.

  • How to display Calendar view without having to select date

    Hi there,
I would like to know can I display Calendar view without having user to select date first.
And also, how do I highlight the date in calendar view for example, to show that i have set a reminder on that date?
I have searched many threads before, but I could not get the final answer.

    Hi,
Is there a way to display a full calendar popup with time stamp so the users can pick the timestamp from the popup?Date Picker doesn't have this feature. You can use Javascript to achieve the same. But at same time it's highly unrecommended to use javascript with OAF pages.

    Hi,
I would point out that I did say...
Of course the Contacts List has to have people listed in it.
The Error seems to be that you have not even got an My Card.
The OS when the computer is brand new and you set up the first Admin Account should create at least once Card entry for the Address Book/Contacts which has the Head and Shoulders icon (the My Card)
The does presume the the first account on the Mac doers have a person's First name and Last name to work with.
Of course not everyone sets things up this way.
    Anyhow
To Check the Contacts List open the app.
    Go to the Preferences.
    Go to the Accounts section.
This should list at least two "accounts
One is for Syncing with iCloud and the other is for storing the Info on the Mac itself
In System Preferences > iCloud you can only set up one Apple ID to be the iCloud ID.
If you do or have changed this you may have extra accounts in the Contacts > Preferences > Accounts
