IMac can't read data through 32' USB Active Extension / Repeater Cable

My iMac doesn't seem to be able to read data through my 32' USB Active Extension / Repeater Cable. The cable is brand new, and it works flawlessly to connect my Microsoft Kinect Sensor to my Xbox 360, so I don't think the cable is the problem. Does anyone know how I might solve this issue?
Here is the cable I am using:
32ft 10M USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Active Extension / Repeater Cable (Kinect & PS3 Move Compatible Extension)

Have you researched allowed USB cable length for computer connections? I just bought an extension and that cable carried the warning that USB lengths greater than 10 ft were not supported by most computer systems for device connection.
Just talked with a computer support person at work who said he had never heard of anyone being able to use a cable that long. Can you get closer to your computer and use a shorter cable?

No need to worry about the disk version. You would just have to install an update anyway as soon as it was installed. Download from the link provided below and use the serial number you have to activate.

What Mac OS are you running (from "About this Mac" in your Apple menu).
Codecs are usually required for viewing videos and should not affect whether the USB drive mounts. Can you tell us what kind of file your are trying to run from the USB drive? The pre-2006 iMacs this forum covers are no longer supported by most modern codecs

My iMAC can't read the SD card of my Canon camera. I've tried reinserting slowly and quickly and dusting it. My camera can see the pictures on the SD card, which is only two months old. The same thing happened a few months ago. I figured it was an old card and probably damaged so bought a new one but this one has the same problem. my port was checked in store a couple of months ago too. I am running out of ideas....

How long has it been since you fully formatted the SD in the camera? I ask because some cameras are very good at messing up the card just enough that while they can read/write to it fine other systems may be confused. All it takes is a minor firmware glitch.
If you haven't hard formatted the SD in the camera for a while try downloading your pictures by connecting the camera to the iMac via USB. After the download is complete--and you have verified that it is full and complete--format the SD in the camera, snap a photo, then try connecting the SD directly to the iMac.
Might not work, but worth a try as it's free to do.
Another thing is to make sure that the firmware in your camera is up to date.

Not with the iTunes U app, no. You would do this through iTunes on your computer.

Can't read data CDs after upgrading to 5.0

After upgrading to 5.0, I can't read data CDs I've already made from any other programs. When I try to open one, Windows Explorer shows D: drive with no folders or files at all, and 0 bytes used/0 bytes available. I can still play DVDs and audio CDs. iTunes 5.0 opens fine on pc, and I can access/play music, but doesn't recognize my iPod or iPod mini. I'm afraid to download anything else until I get this problem fixed. HELP - please
I've used System Restore to go back to earlier version, and that lets me view/use CDs, but I can't open iTunes - message says some files missing, reinstall iTunes. I've tried to uninstall iTunes through add/remove, but the install shield disappears after starting.

Problem is obviously a software conflict, but I'm lost on how to fix it. And it's getting tiring installing upgrade to use iTunes, then going back to System Restore in order to back up data from other programs - plus I can't believe that's the best thing to do for the pc.
gaah. okay, the fact that a Syetem Restore gets your CD drives back suggests it's a registry issue, and also that we're either getting a conflict with other installed non-MS burning/ripping software

I restored the factory settings....the phone was on recovery mode...it was verified by itunes and all that..but in the end it again said that iphone has some problem and can not function right now.
after that when ever i connect it with itunes, it gives the message, it can not activate the iphone further, try again later or contact customer service.
What to do now?????? Customer service people say..it is hardware problem

If it's a hardware problem, then the phone will need to be replaced.
There is no magic that can fix a hardware problem.

The created program is not performing a command I have written when it tries to connect to the internet, it must be Labview that is doing it. How do I stop this from happening?

My iMac can't boot Windows 7 From USB while my Macbook Pro can do it

I install Windows 7 64 bit and rEFIt into a USB hard disk and hope to boot from my iMac 27" (2010 Mid). However, it shows that no boot deivce is found.
If I plug the SAME disk to my Macbook Pro 17" (2009 Mid), it can boot Windows 7 without any problem.
I tried with Linux and get same result, iMac says no boot device while my Macbook Pro can boot it without problem.
I tried experiment for weeks and still can't get iMac work.
I think it is very abnormal and I wonder if someone can tell me how to fix it or any directory to solve this problem.

My iMac runs snow leopard and my MacBook pro runs Lion. Both of them are updated with latest updated. I just get one external USB hard disk with Windows 7 32 bit installed and magically, my iMac can boot it from rEFIt. However, I don't know what makes it works. I tried to make same configuration, software and steps on other USB hard disks for hundreds times but I can repeat it again. All other attempt can make USB hard disk boot on MacBook Pro but not iMac only.

i am using BDC to create sale order.i need to change the net price when the condtion type is ZUR1.so i want to read the cond type.if it is ZUR1 , then only i will change the price.
how can i achieve this thing?

while recording you can capture the condition type before net price.
and after the perform stament where internal table say record has condition type value,you can validate
PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'xyz'
                                           record-j_condition_type.
if record-condition_type = 'ZUR1'.
net_price = '999999'
    PERFORM bdc_field       USING 'abc'
                                         record-net_price.
endif.

Read data with trigger usb-6210

I'm using LabView 8.6 full development
First sorry for my english
My problem is: I'm using USB-6210. I connected a encoder signal to one of digital inputs and then generate trigger signal according to encoder. Now I need to read data from 4 analog inputs at the rising edge of trigger. But I must read all data at one time. I have around 200 measurements points. So my idea is: when the trigger appears card read data, but I not taking them. I take data when card have all 200 measurement points. Is it possible to do with this card? and how. Frequency of trigger signal is around 1kHz

Hello Bartek,
If I understand correctly, you need to start Analog Input (AI) measurement on 4 AIs with rising edge on digital input (DI). Moreover, you want to read all configured samples at once.
If I understand correctly, than you need to perform Finite Samples AI Acquisition with Digital Start Trigger.
I strongly recommend to read some manuals to get familiar with your device. I would start with M Series User manual, which I personally consider to be very useful for finding most important information about your device. Moreover, there might be some "specialties" for USB-6210, which you might find in NI USB-621x Specifications.
Please go trough following sections of recommended manuals:
AI Start Trigger Signal - M Series User Manual page 4-35
Chapter 11, Triggering of M Series User Manual
NI USB-621x Specifications - page 9, External Digital Triggers
If you wonder how to realize the measurement in LabVIEW, I would point you to Example Finder, where you can actually find such a example.
In LabVIEW menu, open Help -> Find Examples...
Navigate to Hardware Input and Output -> DAQmx -> Analog Measurements -> Voltage
Open Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk-Dig Start.vi
I believe this example should perform exactly what you need.
