Imac can't select other windows/programs if PSCS6 is running

Hi,
this is the software Adobe intalled: Creative Suite 6
this is my version of Photoshop: CS6 Extended 13.0.4 x64
this is my iMac: 21.5" (middle 2011) 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 - 8 GB 1333 GHz DDR3 - AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
this is the OS: OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
When PS is running, sometimes (and now it often happens) if I try to select another program (Safari, Dreamweaver, everything) I still fall back in PS windows/program and there is no way to select somethng else. If I still work in PS, after 1/2 minutes the problem is solved and I can go and select items in other programs... but 10/15 minutes and boom.. again the same problem.
I can't work in this way, please can someone help me to fix this annoyng problem?

HI,
Try Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't help, try re "pairing" the keyboard to your iMac.
Open System Preferences/Bluetooth. Delte the keyboard from the source list on the left.
Then Click +
That will prompt the Bluetooth Setup Assistant. Just follow the instructions to re "pair" the keyboard.

Try a PRAM reset:
PRAM RESET
Zap the PRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

How can i select other column values('-' separated) in group by function

But i want other colummn value in '-' separated. but group by is only allowing agreegated function.
How can i select other column value using group by function.

iMacs 21' can boot Linux or Windows from usb stick? from Firewire 400 or 800 hdd/ssd? from USB HDD/SSD?

Running windows on imac can't print from windows

I'm running windows on my imac because quicken and quickbooks for mac *****. I can't print from windows. when I go to the printer troubleshooter it sees my printer but tells me to turn it on. When I try to print from quickbooks or quicken, it gives me a printer communication error. help

There have been some patches from Quicken to address these issues, make sure you have the latest updates. Quicken says only Quicken 2010 is supported in Windows 7 but suggests the following workaround.

Can't locate CS4 in "Program Files" - But it runs!

I had deleted some files from my computer to recover some space and may have deleted a file related to Adobe Photoshop CS4. Sorry, I don't recall which program I deleted. They were deleted using standard Add/Remove in the Control Panel of my Windows XP Media Center Edition software.
I can drill down using windows explorer and find the photoshop.exe program and start CS4 that way but when I try to locate the program via the START button it does not appear.

I checked my recycle bin and found only old Lightroom Catalog backups that I had intentionally deleted and 2 jpg files. No help there.
Regarding creating a shortcut myself: This is what I did to give me a way to start the program without having to look through the list of program files using windows explorer.
The problem is that Photoshop CS4 does NOT show up in my list of "All Programs" after I click on the Start button. I have carefully searched each of the program headings to ensure that it wasn't accidentally moved but it didn't appear in any of the programs listed. And, yet, I still have the entire program on my hard drive as evidenced by my use of it this morning to create a panorama of Bryce Canyon. I don't get it.

How can I get the mouse cursor from acrobat reader to use in other windows programs?

I like the pointer used in Adobe's Acrobat Reader and would like to use it as my regular mouse pointer. A friend and I were able to do it years ago, but I can't now. I am using Windows XP Home Edition.

Can I use a Windows program or website other than Nike to track pedometer activity for a Nano 7th?

The title says it all. I would like to view the data, but the Nike+ website does not take walking activitiy? Please advise of any known or unknown alternatives.

I didn't expect you to have your customer run the command. I would expect you to create the executable and install it. However, there wouldn't be any difference in what you are creating and the .jar file. Either way it is a faceless icon. For that matter, it is no different than a batch file on Windows. I'm not sure what they wouldn't understand with, "copy the Vocab.jar file to wherever you want and double-click it to run the program." In addition, you probably ought to point out that Java is not installed on Mac OS X Lion (10.7.x) and when they double-click the jar file (or whatever you send them), the system will ask if they want to install Java.
What you really need to do is package up the app inside a Mac application package and provide the user with the application on a .dmg (disk image). How to close other Windows Programs from a Swing GUI ?

I am making this really simple login program that once a user has successfully entered a username and password, and this is checked through a mySQL database , I run an Internet Explorer Windows.
Now I am trying to setup a logout button and when they push this button ideally the open Internet Exlporer Windows would close.
Does anyone have an idea how to do this is Swing or the wider java language or maybe even something built into windows ?

It's as simple as obtaining references to the Windows and calling dispose() on them. How you obtain the references is entirely up to you. For example, you can create a List to hold all the children windows/dialogs that are created. And on logout you iterate through the list, dispose the child windows, and remove them from the list. Or maybe the child windows can add themselves as listeners to the logout button. When it's clicked and an ActionEvent is fired, the child windows can dispose of themselves automatically.

All the fonts become transparent in Firefox and then I cant run any other windows programs.

After a couple of hours of being open, all the fonts in firefox 3.6.12 turn transparent, and it seemingly freezes. Then, it takes windows down with it. I cant open any programs, not even the task manager. All the fonts in windows so blank. I have to close firefox and then I can use programs again. I scanned for viruses and found nothing. This only happens with firefox, and it started pretty recently. I figured maybe one of the extensions is to blame. I updated flash recently and I thought it was the culprit but I uninstalled it recently and the freezing still happens.
The fonts all turning transparent is a pretty unique symptom I think. I googled a lot but no one seems to be having the same problem. I'm at the end of my rope here.

You can check the following folder to make sure the google.xml plugin is included in your installation of Firefox:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
If it's there, but it doesn't appear in the search box, there could be a corrupted file in your settings folder (AKA your Firefox profile folder). If it's missing, then you might consider reinstalling Firefox over you existing installation to fill in the gaps.
I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong in that process. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

I can't get my windows 8.1 tablet to run a tablet friendly version of firefox. Does one exist?

I have bought an asus transformer book t100 and set mozilla firefox as the default browser but when used without the external keyboard the tabs and close buttons are too small for my fingers. I assumed there would be a tablet version similar to that on my smart phone but I can't seem to find/activate this if it exists. some comparison websites seem to have reviewed the big browser companies and review firefox for tablets using a touch/metro version but when I downloaded the most recent beta version i still cant find how to switch modes.

It's possible that someone has created an add-on to tweak the interface of regular "desktop" Firefox to be more finger-friendly. Or you could consider one of the extensions that lists your tabs vertically in a sidebar where they might be a bigger target.

Boot Camp is everything you need to run a Windows application.
Boot Camp allows you to install Windows in a second volume, so you can start up there and run all your Windows apps without needing any Mac OS X app. It's true that OS X apps like Parallels or VMware Fusion allow you to use your Boot Camp partition in Mac OS X, but it looks like you don't want that
