IMac company name in set up

Hi everyone
I recently bought an iMac which I bought as I intend to develop iPhone games, when I was setting up my mac I think I put my intended company name in the company name field but I'm currently a student and the computer is my own private computer.
I'm thinking of purchasing adobe student and teacher software, will the company name cause problems with student and teacher software installation, as the adobe site says, for use on your own private computer only ? if so is it possible to change the company name to nothing or private user without reinstalling the OS ?

the more I read on this topic (publishing apps on the iTunes Store), the more confused I am...
Can somebody please confirm my findings when publishing an app using a company account:
Company Name is set once when uploading the first app. Cannot be changed (unless manually by contacting Apple Support). Is the same for all apps published with this developer account. Appears, for example, in the breadcrumb navigation on top for each app.
Copyright can be set individually for each app. Thus, can be different for different apps published with one developer account
If this is correct, I am left with the following questions concerning the "seller name" that is displayed on the left-hand side when browsing the itunes Store via Web. I have noticed for some accounts the "Company Name" (e.g, "Deutsche Lufthansa AG") can be different from the Seller Name ("Lufthansa German Airline").
Where can I determine which name is displayed here? When I log on to iTunes Connect, where can I find the text that is displayed as "Seller name"?
Can I change this name even after publishing my first app? If so, how?
Can this string differ for different languages (localization) for one and the same app?

As I said, using my real name is fine with me, but I was wondering whether we need to use the entire name as it is, or whether we may be able tu display a subset of it as the display name. Mine is ridiculously long, and it would be a joke to use the full name there
For e.g. in your case, would it be possible for you to have "M. Superczynski" as the displayed developer name instead of your full name?

How do I show more information for result set, I need company name, company address and company phone number to show. Now it is just company name and company address no telephone number, I need the number to show as well in the first result set

The result set I get for a search now only shows the company name and address, if I want the telephone number of the company in the result set, I have to click on the link to go the site information to get the number. I want the company name, address and phone number to show up in the result set without having to click on each hyperlink to get the telephone number...

EMOD- How do I set company name as the "From" field?

Can anyone tell me how I can make my company name as the From field, so that when people get the e-mail it says, "From: Acme Widgets, Inc." ?
Thus far in my tests I have only been able to get an e-mail address to appear in the From field

There does need to be an email address in the From field. You can do something like this to show the company name and an email address in the From:
Initech, Inc. ${Contact.Owner Email Address}

Is there a way of having the email name show and not the Company name.

I have a few address listing for Companies that have 7 or 8 names.
I have them listed with the custom names for each person separately.
I really do not need separate e-mail listings for each person.
Is there a way that would list the individuals name on the email header and not the Company name.
IOW's : ABC company and a listing for John Smith shows ABC when I mail it.
I gather also that it would show ABC when John Smith received it.
I am trying to give it a more personal touch without creating dozens of additional address's.

Thanks for replying Dan, you're right, I should provide more context.
I want to be able to duplicate a shape inside a layer a number of times, and with every duplicated shape, I want that shape to evaluate what number it is (based on a name I give it so I could name it '1' and then use something like 'eval(propertyname)' to return a number or perhaps use an index to count the number of shapes in the layer) and multiply that number by some set of rules that I can define and control through a list of expression controls on another layer. This would allow me to duplicate a square 10 times and have each square's position do something like
x = thisShapeNumber + shapeLength * TranslateExpressionControl;
y = 0;
[x,y]
which would form a long line of squares for instance. Does that make sense?

even with an application or from the setting of the iPhone itself, but without telling me a solution like writting the company name in the contact name field.
This is a very important option, i think it is a must, not an option and apple should fix this problem fastly. because it is already available in the older models of iPhone like iPhone 3G and 3GS.
How an important feature like this could be available in old models, but in the later models is not available?

Currently not possible without putting the company name in the contact name's field. AFAIK, it's never been available on any iOS version.
You might check the App Store for an app that can do this although I'm pretty sure you won't find one.

Contacts showing Name and Company Name, even when 'file as' is the name only

We are running into a strange issue someone may provide some light on, I've researched quite a bit online with no success, and may soon be calling Microsoft on this one. Sometime earlier this year we installed Exchange 2010 Update rollup 4, then UR5, after
that when you create new contacts in outlook 2010, no matter how you choose to 'file as', when you pull up the contact in the address book it always contains the company name after the persons name. It doesn't seem to matter how you file the contact, it always
appears with the company name in the name field in the address book (and therefore pulls that into any mail merge).
anyone else run into this issue or know how to fix it? I included screenshots below....

I can reproduce the same issue here. Here is what I did to fix this:
1. Open a problematic contact.
2. In the Full Name field, type a space and then click Save & Close button.
3. Now, go to Address Book, you will find that the company name is removed.
Based on my deep research, I find a macro can be used to update the Full Name info, when I run the macro, the company name is removed from all problematic contacts in Address Book. See the code sample:

How do u get the company name to come up when someone calls you?

I've recently got the iPhone and have many of my work contacts in with first name only and then company name. All that displays when a call comes in is their first name and not the company name which is really frustrating... Does anyone know an app or setting to display company name when a call comes in? Third-party apps can't affect things like that, so you'd need to send a feature request to Apple:

on the Mac, in Address Book, there is a "Company" box I can check, and so I do have some company names showing up as the key info in contacts and on the call screen. But mostly I don't also have personal names for those numbers, so I don't know if even that works as you want--I suspect it would not show the personal name in such a case. And I can't find any equivalent of that box in the iPhone Contacts.

i don't know if anything changed with verizon after 2011, but i don't see any such feature on their website. I know you can set/remove your own name that is displayed to others, with verizon. but i cant' specifically find this incoming name feature.

Show Company names

I have managed to sync my Sony Ericsson mobile phone with the Address Book on my computer. However, nearly all my addresses are listed by company name, with the name of the principal contact below; when I sync, all the entries on the phone are listed by the name of the person, not the company, which is less useful to me. I can find no setting to change this - anyone know of a way?

There isn't a way unfortunately. Sony Ericsson phones don't have an option to list contacts by Company Name. It will only show the Company Name if there is no person name entered.

Adding Company Name to Flash Website

I have a question about Flash CS3. When I search for my
website on Internet Explorer, the web site link comes up, but
instead of the link stating "FranchelleDesigns", it says
"Index". I tried adding my Company name to Action Script, but
it does not work, it just gives a code error under the
website link.

I apologize for that outburst. It was uncalled for and
unprofessional of me. Please accept my apology. I will try to
explain it another was so you might understand.
I think your problem stems from a lack of understanding of
the publishing process, not from an ignorance of the Flash
development environment. That said, let me see if I can give you
the 40,000 foot perspective.
When working in a development environment, you work on what
we call LOCAL FILES. These are files that reside on your computer
or local network. When you have finished development (and sometimes
before you finish) you do what's called PUBLISHING your documents.
(Note that this is different than the Flash menu option Publish -
that only compiles the FLA file into a SWF file and creates the
HTML file). By this we generally mean you upload these files to
some web server somewhere on the internet. To make this perfectly
clear, this means you will have two copies of every file - one on
your computer, and one on the internet server. When you edit the
file on your computer and save it, unless the file is locked for
some reason, there is no reasonable way that file will 'roll back'
to a previous version without you being told it is happening. The
file could be set to READ ONLY, which would prevent you from saving
your changes, but again, you would be told that with a pop-up box.
Hopefully this explains why some of us are so confused as to your
problem.
One other possible problem I can see happening is that you
are editing the source that you get from the internet (like in your
browser going to View => Source" and editing that file, then
saving it and refreshing the page. What you would have to
understand in this case is that every time you view the source and
change it, you are viewing what's on the web server and saving your
changes to your local computer. This is fine except that you have
never uploaded the modified code to the web server and, thus, will
NEVER see the changes you have made. Please note that all of this
is done in applications outside of Flash and really doesn't have a
place in these forums, but that's OK. We will still help you out.
There are two ways to get pages to a web server. Some hosting
services offer a web-based file upload application (iX Webhosting
and MySpace photos are good examples of this). The other method is
to use an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program. Examples of this
are CuteFTP, CoreFTP - but there are hundreds of these applications
that you can use. I've only named two.
Now, there are four files that encompass the Flash file:
1. The FLA file. This is the un-compiled, native Flash
document - the one you do all your editing to.
2. The SWF file. This is the compiled Flash file that will be
uploaded (published) to the web server.
3. AC_RunActiveContent.js. This is a file that must be placed
on your web server along with the SWF and HTML files. This is a
script file that examines the users computer to determine which
version of Flash Player has been loaded onto the users computer.
4. The HTML file. This is the main 'page' that holds your SWF
file. It also contains what is called Meta Data - of which the
title of the page is a part and contained withing the <TITLE>
</TITLE> tags.
Now that I've covered the content, let's look at the general
steps required to publish your page:
1. Create your flash file and save it to your hard drive.
2. Select Publish from the File Menu - this creates the SWF
and HTML files and puts a copy of the AC_RunActiveContent.js in the
directory with those other two files.
3. Use a text editor like Notepad or UltraEdit to open the
HTML file. This file will be in the same directory as your FLA and
SWF files and will have the same name. Example: if your named your
FLA file "Home.FLA", you will also see "Home.SWF" and "Home.HTML"
4. Add the line <TITLE>My Page Title</TITLE> to
the HTML file just below the <HEAD> tag.
5. Save the file and exit your text editor.
6. Open the web servers file transfer application OR your FTP
application and log into your server.
7. Upload the HTML, SWF and JS files to the server (making
sure they are in the proper directories).
8. Use your browser to view the web site.
I think that is as plain and as detailed as I can possible
answer your question. If that doesn't solve your problem, you need
a better man than me. Again, I apologize for my outburst.

We can keep the company name too, ask your FI guy for the steps to keep the company code and name by default.
I remember our FI guys have kept.. currently i am not have the SAP in my system to tell the steps.

Address Book - Unwanted individual's name under Company Name

Individuals names automatically insert under the Company names at the top of contact pages.
Can this be stopped?
I delete them regularly but they keep appearing.
They are particularly frustrating as they overwrite names being typed into Mail.

You can drag address book cards to any label on the sheet. This is great for printing on a label page that you didn't use all the way.
In the preferences you can set any combo of info from the address card you want. You can save any number of theses combos.
