Imac, Elements 12

For your information, I have a Canon EOS 700D, and uses Canon's RAW in collaboration with Elements 12.
When I have finished editing my photos, I convert them to JPEG and moves them into Iphoto.
I am a iMac user and suddenly many of my psd images in Elements 12 have question mark in left-hand top corner.
When I press the image, Elements Organizer appears, and after a long search, the Organizer "Reconnect Missing Files" shows that the file can not be located.
What can I do to find my pictures again?

Normally I download my pictures via SD card to Canon's Digital Photo Professional RAW program, where I make the first edit. Then I move the pictures to Elements 12 where the image again is beeing edited with the help of the Topaz, which is a plug-in program for Elements 12.
The images are then saved as .Psd files and .jpeg files. Jpeg files are then moved into iPhoto, where they are stored and finally transferred to CD.

I've had the same problem today with my Mac.
Went back to OS 10.8 after a disasterous few months with 10.9/
Now Elements would open and I get that same error code message.
I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30

I think it's all to do with this FlexNet, which is nowhere to be found on my computer now.
How do I get it back though?
Can't find any way to contact Adobe. I do have the Elements 8 CD though.

and all the solutions tell me to find the folder FlexNet Publisher in my library.
Problem is FlexNet Publisher doesn't seem to exist there. Can't find it anywhere on my hard drive.
Gettting down to the end of that page gives me the following info....
The FlexNet folders and files required to run Adobe applications can become corrupted or have permission problems if moved from one machine to another. They can also be damaged through a Time Machine system restore. FlexNet service licensing failures cannot be resolved by reinstalling the application or by using the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool. If permissions issues prevent the FlexNet licensing service from launching, accessing data, or communicating with Adobe processes, a licensing failure occurs.
Well it looks like backing everything up using Time Machine may have caused all this problem. Anyone know how to get Flexnet Publisher back?

New iMac Elements 12 user

1. How do you save Elements edited photos to iphoto? I have watched the tutorial and my changes do not revert to iPhoto library.
2. I am trying to use Elements 12 as an editor only. I have inadvertantly imported all my photos from iPhoto. I don't wish to use Elements for this purpose. Should I delete the imported photos? Could this cause problems by not deleting them?

Elements, simply makes links to files and folders but the folders in Organizer probably look like gobbledygook as all the iPhoto sizes and faces are copied.
Simply ignore Organizer altogether and set up the PSE Editor as your external Editor Application- see link at the bottom.
You can then edit directly from iPhoto.
There is no risk of deleting stuff as iPhoto keeps your originals safely in a hidden folder. The revert command means you can always go back to your original in iPhoto.

Camera Raw formatting and Elements 12 on new computer! HELP

I just got a new computer. I started with a Macbook and now have an iMac. I was running Elements 12 on the laptop just fine , now on my iMac, Elements is stating that the camera raw format is not supported. I use a Cannon 70d and never had any problems on my Macbook. I am completely lost on what to do!

When I click 'Edit in External Editor' in iPhoto on an Apple iMac, Elements 10 opens correctly but no image is displayed. Previously when I used Elements 6, the image dispayed OK in Elements 6 ready for editing. Can you help, please?

How do I move Elements 11 photos and catalogue from iMac to new iMac both running Yosemite?

I've been researching best way to move my photos and catalogue from my current iMac to my new iMac. I'm using Elements 11. Both iMacs running Yosemite. I know I need to deactivate the current computer's version of Elements if putting it on the new one runs me over the license limit - I don't think it will. I have read enough to be pretty sure I have to NOT migrate the Elements 11 program to the new iMac because it won't work properly - I'll have to reinstall it from my installation disc on the new iMac. So far, so good.
Now, I want the easiest way to get the photos on the new iMac, in the same folders, and preserve the catalogue and my current ratings on the photos. I am unclear on how the catalogue works with its backup and restore function. Should I move all my photos in their folders in exactly the same locations on my new iMac before installing Elements and trying to restore the catalogue? I read about the ways to restore the catalogue and I am unsure about whether it just looks for the pictures in the places it expects to find them (which will be the same if I copy everything on to the new iMac first), or whether it restores the pictures where it thinks they should be (in which case I should NOT put the pictures on the new iMac before restoring the catalogue or I'll end up duplicating everything). Also I have read - and been confused by - the options about restoring catalogue in new location, old location, etc. I don't want my folders changed. I have my pictures stored where I want them and I want to keep them there - and I'd prefer not to add some extra layer under the basic My Pictures on my iMac.
I have stored the most recent version of the catalogue, with all photos reconnected, on an external drive. All the pictures in the catalogue have their meta-data associated with them. I hope that this will allow me to preserve ratings. Going through thousands of pictures to find the really good ones again is a time-consuming mess. When I went from Windows to Mac 3 years ago - I lost the catalogue and all ratings. When I upgraded from Elements 9 to Elements 11, I lost the catalogue and all ratings. I do NOT want to ever go through that again.

I appreciate your answer and agree that it is correct, but you told me nothing I did not know. There is an Elements technical paper which says this in much greater detail, but still does not answer the questions I was trying to ask.
The catalogue file seems much too small to include my thousands of photos. Are you telling me that it has magically reduced the size of all those photos - from 64 GB to 33 GB, and added the catalogue information - so that the photos will just appear out of nothing but that smaller catalogue file when I restore catalogue? If so, will you explain the options of same location, new location, new location with existing file structure, etc?
I understand installing the program. I understand that I should backup the catalogue (I've done it). I understand I will use restore to restore the catalogue. I found all this on other sites. I need someone, somewhere, to explain to me if I need to copy the photos themselves to their new location before I restore catalogue - or not. And which option in restore to use. I thought I explained this in my original question. Any help on these questions about matters I do not understand will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, adobe doesn't have photoshop elements 6 available for download, as far as i know, so your best bet is to either get an usb dvd drive or use an computer with a dvd drive and copy the contents of the pse 6 dvd to somethiing like
a flash drive and then copy the contents from that drive to your new computer.
Do you still have your older mac and it has a dvd drive?
You can share files between the two using airdrop or an ethernet cable.

I had read that downloaded purchases would be available for 3 years but, when I click onto the serial number of that order it isn't active. By clicking onto the link it should take me to the site where I can re download the elements 9 but, it doesn't do anything. Unfortunately calling Adobe did not help, they will not address any elements questions over the phone, there's a recording directing all elements questions to this forum. Adobe premiere elements 12 not installing on iMac 17

hello,
I am trying to install Adobe Premiere Elements 12 onto my iMac 17, i go through the install process, agree the terms and conditions, enter my serial number (correctly), select where on my mac i would like it to be installed to and it begins to instal. Standard right?
However it only ever gets to 2% before the installation fails. When i hit the button to ask for a description of the error it opens up my web browser and gives me the following info.
Exit Code: 15
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR:

What's going on? It did this when i was trying to install the trial version and it's doing it now with the disc!

When i run disk utilities i can see the premiere elements 12 disks in the laft hand payne but when i click on them nothing appears in the right hand payne for me to select, therefore repair disk permissions is left greyed out. Ideas?

Thank you for your suggestions. I downloaded a more recent version of Twain, but this didn't help. I also tried closing and opening Photo Shop and restarting my computer without success. Reinstalling Photo Shop sounds like a very promising solution, but I'm not sure I will do it. In the meantime I can scan items using a printer program. These scans open in Photo Shop. It is an extra step.

Does your imac come with a Windows Mac interface?
If not, you cannot. There is no Premiere Elements 8 Mac version. And, you cannot install Premiere Elements 8 Windows on
a Mac computer. As I recall, Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 was the first Premiere Elements version to be offered in Windows and Mac versions.
Please explain with more details.

I have had problems installing Elements 13 on an iMac running 10.9.5

I installed trial copy of Elements 13 on an iMac running 10.9.4.
All seemed fine...merged a panorama brilliantly. Filled in gaps...saved image.
Turned off iMac.
Next morning iMac would not turn on.
When eventually sorted with Apple tech support....iMac turned on and refused to print o Epson printer. Would print to HP.
Eventually had to do a harddrive erase and reload from internet.
iMac then behaved OK.
I would like Elements 13 but am very wary of installing inc axe the same thing happens again.
What reassurance can you give that Elements 13 is not bug ridden and will load Ok without screwing up my iMac completely?

Well, I would look around this forum. How many people are complaining that PSE 13 destroyed their Macs? Don't you think that if that were really happening there'd be plenty of posts about it and lots of articles on the rest of the internet?
There are a fair number of problems with PSE 13 for various people (as there are with any version), but ruining hard drives isn't one of them.
