IMac freezes. Can only start up through on/off button

I have an iMac (2006) the white one. For the past month or so, I've noted a horizontal line across opened pages (safari) and more often with videos. The computer freezes during the loading of some videos and the only way to restart the computer is by holding the on/off button. The control-alt-delete doesn't work.
Sometimes the mouse freezes too and the circular rainbow cursor just keeps going and going.
The problem started about a month ago and I have since updated to Snow Leopard hoping it would resolve it, but it hasn't.
Any thoughts?

do you have the discs that came with the imac still? if so run the apple hardware test. you could be having an issue with some bad ram or a video problem.

If this started happening without your having made any changes and without a warning of low disk space, then it's likely that the boot drive is failing, or that there's some other hardware fault. Run the Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostics.
Even if the test is negative, you should make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested more thoroughly.

If you already try other chargers and still not working, the best advise is for you to contact apple support, if you still in warranty they will change it for you for free.

From your description, you can send and receive messages only when you use OWA after migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
In your case, I recommend you create a new test mailbox in your Exchange 2013 and check if you can send and receive messages on Outlook. If yes, it is recommended to create a new profile to solve this issue.

I can only get sound through my ipad with the head phones. I haven't had this problem before. I upgraded about a week ago, but this is the first time the sound has been an issue. When I turn up the volume it shows that it is the volume for the headphones but I can't figure out how to adjust the volume for everything. I have rebooted.

Also try this if above doesn't work.
1. Plug and unplug my headphone jack into the iPad four times.
2. On the fourth time leave the headphone jack connected and rotate the plug clockwise, then remove and try your sound.

Look in your applications folder for the installer - Install OS X Yosemite. Delete it. Then go back to the App Store purchases tab and see if you can download it. You might have to re-index Spotlight.

I do not have a startup disk. I did try fsck (based on what I learned from your reply-thank you). This failed (fsck); here is the message:

Can only start Windows 7 (installed with bootcamp) in safe mode

I installed Windows 7 about 3 weeks ago, everything has gone smoothly until a few days ago. I can only start Windows in safe mode, if I try to do it in normal mode, it starts to log in but the screen will just go black and the computer will shut off completely. Then it won't turn back on for like 5 minutes. My mac partition works fine, and I can't find a solution to this Windows problem. When I try to do the "restore' thing where you make it go back to a certain install point, it gives me an error. Please help me, I have a course starting in 3 days and I need Windows OS for it.

Can only start Netweaver Developer Studio with Console

For some strange reason since yesterday I can only start the Netweaver Developer studio only using the Netweaver Developer Studio Console. I uninstalled and installed but no change. I'm using 7.0.9
If I start the Netweaver Developer Studio without the console, I get the following windows error:

Go to shortcut for launching the NWDS. Right click and go to properties. Go to Target. Add "-clean" in the end. Launch the NWDS now.
Also you can do following.
Close the NWDS.
Go to installation directory of NWDS. Go to configuration folder. There will be folder by name <>.osgi.<>. Delete this folder and start the NWDS now.

Does your friend have Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4? If you can startup from the install CD, can you open the Disk Utility (from the "Installer" menu in Mac OS X 10.3 or from the "Utilities" menu in Mac OS X 10.4)? Does the hard drive appear as an option in the Disk Utility? If so, you should try to "repair disk" from the Disk Utility. Are there any errors found? Can the Disk Utility repair them?
If it repairs the errors, you can quit the Disk Utility and then Quit the Installer. The computer will restart back to the hard drive.
If the Disk Utility can't repair the errors, you may want to invest in a more powerful utility like .
If the hard drive does not appear as an option in the Disk Utility, it may be damaged beyond software repairs. You might find the Apple Hardware Test CD (which could be the same disk as the Mac OS X installer) and run the extended tests.

Hi Sid
First download the latest version of Jdeveloper (10.1.3.3).
Set up the BAM connectivity.
Create an Activity sensor from Structure pane (located in the Bottom/left corner of Jdev)
Create a Bam Sensor action and assign to the activity sensor.BAM sesnso action wizard will take you to a new window where you have to define your bam object and the activity you wanted to do (like INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE etc).
After that you will have to map your variable with the BAM object.
Then Press OK.
Please make sure the version of Jdevloper.It should be 10.1.3.3.

I have put up with it for months, until june 7 when I decided it has been long enough, and I got a replacement. I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy.
