Imac frozen after uninstalling skype

Question

I recently installed Skype, but it somehow messed up my audio interface settings and Logic Pro didn't run smoothly.
So I decided to remove it and dragged it to Trash.
After that, Logic Pro wouldn't open.
So I pressed Restart.
Now the screen is frozen- not with my usual desktop, but simply with the bluish background- as though it's got stuck halfway.
Can anyone here suggest a solution ?

Luckily Bill is correct. Anything you can set in Logic under the menu item Preferences, is stored in that file. When you remove it from the folder and restart Logic, it will notice it's not there and make a fresh one with default settings.
You do not have to trash the prefs file though, just remove it from your prefs folder will do. If it turns out the prefs file was the problem, then you can trash it. If it turns out it wasn't, you can put it back, and it will replace the newly created prefs file.
Note: quit the application before moving its prefs files around.
Because trashing prefs is one of the basic 'crash troubleshoot steps', it may be a good idea to copy your prefs file once you've made all your settings as you want them (and Logic is not crashing, of course). Save that copy in your documents folder, so that you can use that copy to replace possibly corrupted prefs in the future. It saves the chore of having to go over all the settings again.
