Imac G4 question - help needed regarding downloading

Help! My wife and I both use our G4 a lot - she teaches 2nd grade so you can imagine how much she uses it. (If it matters, we use 10.3.9) Here in a nutshell is the problem. For some reason we are not able to download any type of files. This just started out of the blue. The download box opens up - the desired file shows up - then it will say "Cannot create file" When you try to reload the file, the same thing happens. We still have over 9 Gig of space on the hard drive. I looked at preferences and did not see anyting that might work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Well this is new on me but I'm going to suggest that you 'Repair Permissions' it's possible the underlying OS X file permissions have become corrupt preventing you from saving these files.
Go to: Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Click Macintosh HD on the left hand pane and then click the 'Repair Permissions' button just right off centre at the bottom of the window.
I'd also suggest re-starting the computer (some ppl never do) and this can cure many faults.

I was trying to test opaque font (the string has a foreground color and a background color), but i can't find the method for doing that.
i can change foreground by Graphics2D.setPaint(Color.black).
Anybody know how to change the background of the string?

Hi. The way I'd do it would be to use the font metrics to find the length of a string and draw a rectangle and then drawstring over the rectangle. If you want an example, I can post it although I suspect theres a better way.

Beginner Question - Help Needed for EJB QL Sample Application

I'm working with a group of student interns, like myself, and we've been given an assignment to work with Oracle. All of us have no training or experience with this, so we're just learning as we go.
I've been trying to run the EJB QL Sample Application (http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/ejb_corba/ejbql/Install.html), but I keep running into problems at step 3.
Now, we will deploy the sample application onto OC4J. Open another command prompt and go to the folder <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home and run the following commands one-by-one

The Readme.html file is available with the ejbqlsample.jar downloadable (Extract and find the doc in Ejbql\docs\Readme.html) which is printable.
Or,
If you are trying to print the file directly from OTN site, you need to set the Page-Setup Orientation to 'Landscape'.

Help needed Regarding Project Server - 2013 Workflow

Hi All,
I am new to Project server 2013 Workflow, hence please help me regarding this. Pardon me if this question is too trivial.
I have created a project type associated with a workflow and my workflow is as follows :
So I am not doing anything here, I am just testing the workflow as mentioned by technet site : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn458865(v=office.15).aspx
But it is mentioned that, after a minute or 2, the workflow state will change, also they have mentioned to press the Submit button.
But in my case, the workflow is not moving to next stage [It just says 'The workflow is still processing - which never changes after hours] or I am getting the submit button (Submit button is disabled on the ribbon). Below is the state of my workflow :
PS : I have made the user added to Portfolio managers group as well. But still I am having this same issue.
The Workflow manager is installed properly, and it is working fine in case of List workflow. I am facing the issue only wrt Site workflow for Project server 2013.
Please help me to solve this issue.

I am now facing issue while assigning a task to a person in the workflow.
I am having a person named say 'John' , who is included in Project Manager as well as Portfolio Manager.
And I am using a workflow as :
Stage : Conceptual
Assign a task to John (Task outcome to Variable: Outcome5 | Task ID to Variable: TaskID3 )
Transition to stage
Go to Approval
But this is again giving issue as :
Workflow Internal status : Cancelled
Details: System.ApplicationException: HTTP 401 {"error":{"code":"-2147024891, System.UnauthorizedAccessException","message":{"lang":"en-US","value":"Access denied. You do not have
permission to perform this action or access this resource."}}}
PS : I have used the same Sharepoint admin account for 'Account Name' in ‘User Profile Sync' , Is this causing the issue? Please let me know.

Help needed regarding the updation of "Relationships" in BP

Hello Guys,
This is to request you to kindly help me regarding the following.
We have a scenario where all the employees assigned to an Organizational unit (in PPOMA_CRM) are not showing in the "Relationships" ("Has Employee")in the BP transaction of that Organizational Unit.
Could anyone let me know whether there is any update program that updates the "Relationships" from the Organizational asssignment. Or we need to enter the employees manually in BP "Relationships". Please help. Thanks in anticipation.

Argent help needed! Downloaded app doesn't show in...

Need help! I downloaded Six-Guns into my newly bought NOKIA Lumia 720, but it doesn't show up in the App List, so I cannot play it nor uninstall it. Still it takes more than 800 MB and only left around 400 MB in my internal storage!!! An argent assistance is needed!!!

Yes, it's under the Game.
It can be better if the game also shows up in App List for my convenience.

Help needed regarding Segment Qualifiers

Hi,
In my process of implementing Apps R12 afresh, we just created the segments and assigned them their flexfield qualifiers today. In that, the one assigned towards alancing segment shows the value qualifiers like that of natural accounting segment, unlike the bal. segment value qualifier.
I mean, when we try to insert a a value in the bal.segment it asks for qualifiers such as nature:expense/revenue/liability/asset, instead of going for the allow posting and allow budgeting alone. This is crazy, and I need your support.

Help needed regarding font sizes

Iam generating pdf documents using oracle developer's report builder.
When i generate and view those pdf's using the web previewer thay appear to be quite fine,whereas when i host them on ias the font sizes gets bigger, thus lot of text gets truncated.
Is there any parameters that has to be set for it.Pls help

I am new to ldap . I am able to establish replication between master and consumer and trying to update it is getting update but i am geting the following error

If data is getting replicated from master to consumer then the bind for that specific replication agreement is working.
Check your timestamps and current log entries. Are the "Failed to connect to replication" messages currently being generated? As long as your replication agreement is enabled the supplier will try to keep things up and running, retrying a failed consumer regularly (and generating about 1 set of log messaages per minute on my systems). So you'll get those messages on the supplier when a good consumer is down (the nsslapd directory server process that is).
If you don't have these messages being generated currently then this probably means that your consumer was down around "16/May/2007:13:48:26 -0700" but is ok now. In that case those messages aren't of big concern. They're just telling you that you had a problem, which you hopefully already knew about.
If replication is working (test by making a change on the supplier and checking it on the consumer) AND you're still concurrently getting these messages regularly then you have something interesting going on, probably due to a configuration issue. Without seeing the details it's difficult say what it would be.

What modem are you attempting to use? Is it the internal modem card that shipped with your iMac? If so, the appropriate modem scripts are included in the folder of the same name. I think you have a choice of using a v.34 or v.90 script, but you won't find a v.92 script for it, because that protocol didn't exist when the G3 iMacs were manufactured. You select the modem script to use with your PPP connection software. I always used the third-party "FreePPP" connection software with my pre-OS X Macs, but it used Apple's Modem Script database. If you're using a third-party external modem, the manufacturer should have included pre-OS X and OS X modem scripts for it. US Robotics has a good USB mini-modem that I've successfully used with older Macs having a USB port, and the modem scripts were included on the installer disk. If you want to create your own script, the generic initialization command AT&F or AT&F1 works for many different (hardware controller-based) modems. Additional commands can be added to fine-tune the modem, such as setting the minimum connection speed.

i found an imac m6498 at my grandmas's, its working smooth and great. However, i have these problems:
idont have admin (she doesnt remember the password nor how to remove it)
i dont have the cd repair and backup etc, nor does she
cd drive works well (i need info on how i could reset this so i could use the pc like it was new)
i was thinking of transferring mac os 9 [or leopeord, cuz i saw a forum that its possible] into a usb ext hard drive and installing it there
the main problem is, i dont have admin. It says "you do not have access privileges"
other questions:
is there a way / combo buttons/commands that i could do to reset, change, redeem the password.

That machine is over 10 years old and is not an Intel based iMac, Apple began using Intel microprocessors in 2006 a full 5 years after your machine was made. It is a PPC (Power PC) based machine which cannot run Leopard. In other words you are in the wrong forum. You can reset the password per Resetting an account password however you need the original Install discs. If you don't have those your last option is to contact Apple and see if you can get a duplicate of the originals, you need these because they are machine specific. I suspect that due to the age of the machine you won't be able to get them.

I've checked twice that my iMac and my AppleTV are connected to the same network, however
I cannot make the AirPlay work. The AirPlay status icon won't appear on the menu bar of my iMac

Help needed regarding getting jnlp

Hi all,
we need help regading java web start. We are downloadng some set of jar files to the client side using JNLP. With these jar files jnlp launches a swing base application in the client side and interacts with server application depoyed in WebSphere. In order to launch this application IBM Jre is needed in the client side. But IBM Jre can not install in non IBM meachines. So, we planing to make jar file of Jre and download it along with the rest of the jar files. After that we want to install in some directory in the client meachine and use that JRE to launch application. Now we are couple of problems with this approach.
1) To extract the Jre from the jar file we need the path, where these jars are downloaded.Even though we know the path "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\IBM\Java\Deployment\cache" we can't hard code this, because user may change this location. The extraction program of this jar file in the client side is in one of the jar file that is downloaded. But here in the it is not able to recongnize relative path. So what we need is, is there any api to get this location of this path.
2)Second, In order to launch the application with downloaded Jre we need to set the classpath for jars that are downlaoded with Jnlp. But after downloading these jar files to the client side they are renamed(prefixed with RM and RT). Now, how to set the classpath to these jar files.
Here instead of JNLP if we use applet our problem will be solved. But we can't use applet because of client requirements.
Anybody, please try to suggest me some thing with this problem.

I am using EM 10.2.0.2 on windows 32-bit.
All EM components are installed on a single machine.
Have installed AGENT 10.1.0.5 for managing targets which are on LINUX 2.1
Please help me in getting the solution for the following queries:
(a)I need to create a custom report regarding the CAPACITY MANAGEMENT .
(b)I have some UDM defined but I am not able to use these UDM while creating custom report.
(c)Also is there any possibility that we can use views other than REPOSITORY VIEWS. What I meant was : instead of using REPOSITORY VIEWS can we use the tables of the target instances.
