IMac G5 Screen Freaking Out
When I first started playing the game Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour it was working fine, but about two months ago, during the game the screen went all fuzzy, like i could see the pixels, it also looked like someone had taken a black marker and slashed it across the screen. I restarted the computer, and it worked fine. i just thought that it would never happed again. But a few days ago it did the same thing three times in the same day. I don't know if it is the game, because it only happens while playing that game, or if it is the computer, because even when i close the program, the screen is still messed up. Also, sometimes my computer freezes when i play the same game. Can someone help me.
I had a very similar problem to this.
i have a G5 iMac iSight.
where my screen would freeze and to put it simply, everything would look pixelated.
this would typically happen when i would be puttin a CD in the drive with iTunes open. typically, the freeze is immediately preceeded by something similar to a "pop" sound.
after a similar freeze with iPod running into the stereo, i've come to think that this problem is most likely static shock. the pop must have been static electricity from my fingers...anytime i touched my iPod when running into the stereo i would get a shock, which would sometimes freeze its screen.
I'm assuming that these two issues are the same. Now, just to be sure, i touch the metal plates on the bottom of the iMac every now and again to draw out any static that may have built up.
not sure how this might relate to your issue with the game, though.

IMac 20" vs iMac 24" : screen WASHED OUT on 20"
I went to two Apple stores and I noticed that the new Aluminum iMac 20" SCREEN CONTRAST is set different from the 24".
I tried using two side by side 20" and 24" and I set the screen settings the same. But not matter what I did the contrast on the 20" was pretty bad. 24" was normal but the 20" was Washed out (when viewing photos, there's no detail in the highlight areas).
Anyone else notice this? Or it just me? I foun this at two stores I went to.GREAT! I thought I'd read all of the down sides to the new 20" iMacs. How'd I miss this? Well, I knew that with the minor CUP speed bump made to the new iMacs and no "Extreme" option on the 20" I was about to take a beating down the road here...very shortly. That "shortly" is already NOW, I guess. My 20" screen was washed out using the iMac's display color setting, so I went into Preferences/Display/Color and played with the RGB profile settings. This helped a lot, but it made me wonder why Apple would have let it be shipped with their poor "iMac" color profile. Geez, I hope changing the setting, making the screen colors pop, won't burn out this monitor!!! GULP!!! If only our old Mac G4 tower hadn't died a few months back, we'd been waiting so long already and a 20" monitor looked big enough to us.
BTW, where are all of my Apple Loops in the preinstalled iLife '08 GarageBand? I just got this iMac yesterday. Time to do more digging!

Samsung Reality screen freaking out issue
My reality screen started freaking out a couple of weeks ago and wouldn't let the touchscreen operate properly, it didn't get wet. I had my service switched to another phone but I really want my Reality back. I shut it off, took the battery out and left it out overnight, didn't help. Leaving it off for several days has helped the touch screen but eventually it freaks again. What is the problem? Is it the digitizer, how can I replace just that myself ? (they're not expensive on eBay) how does it come off and get replaced?

Hi bfizzy,
I feel your pain, is not fun to have a phone that fails to perform as expected. As indicated by glyde23 (thank you!) your phone includes a one year warranty and can be replaced within the warranty period if our technical support team is unable to resolve your phone's issues. Please visit the link below for details on the warranty replacement process.
Certified Like-New Replacement Process
I would not recommend to replace screen yourself as this would void the manufacturer's warranty (if within 12 months of purchase). -
My imac's screen blacks out during booting
MY imac froze and restarted recently, then when i got into the computer it froze and shutoff again. This time when i tried to turn it does one of a few things... 1 it only gets to the Apple logo then blacks out, 2 it goes to the place i requested by key commands, or 3 it has the Apple logo, then a loading bar that only loads for about a second and only reaches a very very small fraction of full capacity, then lastly goes to a spinning loading wheel that lasts 5 seconds at most then it blacks out once again.
We do not know which iMac or what OS X your on, but that sounds like a hardware problem.
Run the Apple Hardware Test, as per > Using Apple Hardware Test and report the results either here or to your local Authorized Service Provider. -
Screen freaking out on zynga since installing flash player
since installing the flash player on my mac, the zynga screen for poker is flashing in multiple spaces all over the screen and i am unable to read anything or click on any thing. how do i fix this??
Hi,
I am not certain that this is an issue caused by Adobe Flash Player.
I would still recommend that you post this query in the Adobe Flash Player forum. -
HT1455 Screen freaks out and freezes up
My ccmputer screen gets really messed up when I move windows black pixels get left where the window was and the screen gets real messed up to the point where it stops responding. I tried restarting and that worked for a while and then froze it up again. I tried starting it up in safe boot and it seemed to be working but once it got past the grey start-up screen it froze and the screen was black with random different colored pixel lights. I know that this isn't good is there anything I can do?
Take it to an Apple store and get them to check the hardware. Sounds like either your video card or monitor may be in need of repair

IMac late 2009, screen blacks out running Yosemite 10.10.2
My iMac's screen blacks out for no apparent reason, and the computer is still running normally. But I can't see it.
I thought temperatures were to blame, resetted fans with Macs fan control to speeds, where everything is nice and cool, the problem persists.
The screen might black out, for no apparent reason while working, or when idle. Trying to restart manually, it might black out while in the login screen, or even the apple logo. Or it might even restart normally and work for 8 hours. I have been trying to leave login items out, even Macs fan control an iStats, and the problem remains.
If I clear PRAM while rebooting, I might get a new lease of working life, but not persistently.
The problem started around two months AFTER I installed yosemite and with no new programs installed at the time.
Please Help.And an Etrecheck

My wifes iMac (Intel 2.66 GHz/1 G Ram/ 20" display)has recently began to freak out with numerous blank blocks on the screen (up to 12) opening up when switching applications. It doesn't happen when working in an app, only switching between apps. The blocks can not be closed on the screen, they are frozen. You must shut the computer down and reboot to continue working. Sort of like Expose going nuts. Has anyone run into this situation? Any advise?
Unless this happens only when playing a video, you'll probably want to ask this question in either the iMac or Mac OS X forums since it's probably not a QuickTime problem per se.
Regards. -

Did you try resetting PRAM as a first step? Some display settings are stored in PRAM.

When I am on highest brightness - everything is fine...
Does anyone know what is happening here?Further details:

Photoshop CS6 (mac release version) is FREAKING OUT on external screen
Is it just me having this problem?
When I use Photoshop CS6 (released version) on my brand new MBP17 everything is just fine.
Then I pull it to my connected Cinema Display and everything FREAKS OUT.
Every pixel inside the imagewindow is distorted, is flickering etc.
When I pull it back to the MBP screen all is fine. Pull to the Cinema Display again and the freakshow starts anew...
Wth is going on? No updates are available.
Any other application, including every CS5.5 applications works fine when viewing them on my Cinema Display...
Sigh...OSX10.7.3
MBP17 - AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB
Btw the pixel errors start when I maximize the window on the Cinema Display. Forgot to write that.
But even if I dont maximize the window is unresponsive and I can't zoom or do anything when Photoshop 6 is sitting - even unmaximized - on the Cinema Display.
If I pull it back to the MBP 17 screen everything starts working again... -
